This has been my go to places for car maintenance for over a decade and I'm constantly reliant on their opinions and their costs. Don is the owner of the place and is always genuine and concerned for my cars well being whenever I come to have him check it out and I love that. Even if it's a repair that is not within his capabilities, he will advise to go somewhere else to get that part repaired. My last visit was earlier today and I needed to get oil change but also check on my tires and brakes. Brakes are about 70% worn out and I insisted to get it changed. He also urgently advise to change the tires, which I knew I needed to already and went to a nearby tire place near my parents. Overall, I'm more than satisfied if this location and would highly recommend it for anyone and also at very reasonable pricing. I do believe because they know their value and their worth so do not need to make up for it on adding additional unnecessary costs. read more

Took my car here for an oil change. John was very fair and honest. He even checked my tires and fluids at no additional cost. He also let me know my alignment was off and to make sure to keep an eye on it. I already knew this but was impressed that he caught it! Overall, great experience here. Fast and friendly service. mechanic tried to hold my friends car after not doing anything for 5 hours. why would u say leave the car when you're supposedly "too busy" today. called the cops over some small reason which didn't even matter because it's wasn't a problem. and tried to remove the fuse from his car to stop him from driving, mechanic got physical and hit the top of his car. highly do not recommend this place, fire that guy immediately if he doesn't know how to conduct himself right. i wish i can give less than 1 star because that is absolutely disrespectful to his car and him. read more

He's fantastic. He's always been honest with me and his prices are very reasonable. He's told me to not fix minor things because he said my old beater wasn't worth it - even though I know he would have made a lot of money doing so. I had been going to him for 10 years until I recently got a new car. Now I'm starting to take my wife's car there and his fantastic service continues. He's pretty responsive and timely. He's pretty accurate about estimated time of completion. His English is above average for the area. There was one time where he was unable to fix an A/C issue but that was largely because the A/C mysteriously started working as soon as I took it in - then it died 2 weeks later again but by then I got a new car and didn't care any longer. I can't say he's perfect, but I've never had any issues with him. I can't really think of much of a negative except he's not that close to where I live or work. But the drive is worth it for me simply based upon peach of mind. read more

The best thing about these guys are not only the cheap and reasonable prices or their quick turn around time; it is their honesty, which is hard to come by nowadays. I would come in thinking I need some things to be changed: pumps, belts, timing belts, etc; however, they would straight up tell me most of my things are still good and only need to change a few minor things. These guys have me as a lifetime customer due to their honesty alone. Update 2/20/16 I recently came by to get my wheel hub replaced. I bought the wheel hub online and was planning to only pay for the labor. Well.. bad on my part... After the car was lifted the wheel hub removed on my car... My replacement part didn't fit! So they called me and suggest for me to call the dealers to place a special order since my car isn't a popular car none of the places around had them in stock. My car will be stuck on the lift for 4 days + over the weekend, I felt bad because that's one less lift for them to use. I told them to just put my new wheel bearing in my old wheel hub and take it off the lift, meaning I will have to buy another wheel bearing. Owner of the place told me, "no save your money, we don't want you to waste your money on something so small, we can still work on the other lift" which I believe they only have 2. They provide top notch attentive service at a extremely reasonable price as well. The crew is very knowledgeable with cars old and new, even hybrid vehicles (which a lot of old school shops refuse or know how to service). They get you in and out quickly, so you have time to get all your other weekend errands outta the way too! Love this place!! I've been here twice and there are usually a lot of cars getting work done here. But they have enough staff that I haven't waited longer than an hr. Both tines I went in was for an oil change and tire rotation at various times during the day. My morning visit was pretty darn fast, I think only 30-40mins. Even though its a new location, they used to have another place. The other place had a smog check which is what I went for. I have been coming here for years to get my oil changed. My family introduced me to this place and I have been hooked since. They are always super nice and efficient. There's a waiting room where you can relax and wait for your car and the place is super clean. If I ever had to choose a place to go I always come here. Their prices are also really low. Don auto is the only place that helped me get a deal with my oil changed, timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt. They also do the job correctly. I decided to get an oil change 2 weeks ago before I headed out for a long drive out to Las Vegas. It was a good thing I decide to go to Don Auto Center. Although I was in a rush, the mechanic did a very thorough check of my car and actually found out that my tires were very bare. The drive up to Vegas and back would have been very scary if the mechanic at Don Auto didn't catch that (it was very windy driving up and rained heavily on the way back). Dons is in an auto repair strip mall off Westminster Blvd. this is the single building in the middle. I want to make sure b/c it is next to TAC which has poor reviews and this definitely is not TAC. On my way from work stopped in to ask about a smog check. Total cost $40 which is the going rate. I brought back my wife's car and in about 15 minutes done and on my way back home. Great service small but clean waiting lobby. I walked around the area and the guy was waiting for me I couldn't believe it. Fastest smog check ever. Always coming back here. read more
