I'm not sure what's going on with the last couple orders but they have been really not great or even half way decent. Last night I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with sausage, which ultimately comes with bacon, sausage, eggs, potato, and cheese. The cheese was not even melted. There was hardly any bacon and no sausage as well as no potato. It looked like a Panini breakfast thing. On top of that it wasn't even wrapped up like it normally is and it was just thrown in the container with pinto beans which I did not order. I ordered refried as well as the rice. So my burrito got soggy from the salty pinto bean juice which ultimately did not help. The two street tacos I ordered were very salty, over seasoned. The only good thing about the order was the Tres leches cake, which was actually made by a bakery, so that made a lot of sense. I'm really unhappy with the order that I placed because I come here often and I really like it here but after the past couple experiences, I won't be returning. read more

The food is always good here. The one down side is it is always too much food. The service is quick. Not much to say there as we usually take it home rather than eating in. The overall atmosphere could use a pick me up but it's a good quick and grab place. read more

There's a surprising amount of Mexican food in Payson, and we really just wanted a convenient dinner experience so this seemed like a nice fit. Exiting the southern Payson exit, you'll be flanked by plenty of large chain fast food, but it's worth the extra few blocks to find something local like this. We noticed right away that there was a drive-thru, and that was clutch. We pulled in, got in line, and went to the order window. It's a nice little menu but it's deceptive--there's a lot on there and they have some very decidedly Americanized menu items (like a burrito with french fries.. in it?) and since we hadn't eaten there before, we stuck with a couple of simple burritos. We were third in line, and each car ahead of us needed to wait about 5-7 minutes at the window so it was not exactly fast food. But again, it was the convenience of the drive-thru. About 15 minutes after ordering we got our bag and headed out. The bag of food plus a couple of small salsas weighed about the same amount as a Buick, give or take, so they're generously sized burritos. I had the grilled chicken and also got to try a bit of the shredded beef. The previous was by far the winner, but still needed a little salsa to kick it up. The shredded beef was good, albeit a bit plain, though the beef was high quality. Most items are in the ten buck range, some a bit more, but I don't recall if there are cheaper items; surely the tacos are much cheaper than this. I'm rarely in Payson, but this is a nice option should you find yourself there. With so many other Mexican food options it would be fun to taco crawl and see what you could find. read more

I ordered from the website and had it delivered. I ordered the family taco pack, a birria consume, and a carne asada burrito with Hot Cheetos. The food was decent. Carne asada was a bit dry but not horribly so. I was upset that I was missing the birria consume and chips (that come with the family taco pack). I didn't call to complain because I don't have the time or energy to do so, but it would be nice for them to double check on delivery orders to ensure everything is there. Also, I'd recommend being able to make preferences on the orders when ordering through the website. It didn't allow me to ask for no onions anywhere. I am still on the fence about trying this place again; maybe one day I'll give it another shot. read more

While the food is okay the counter service is awful. He barely spoke above a whisper. I had to ask him to repeat himself two or three times. He could not take an order unless it followed the prepared script in his head. And while the menu said they had chipotle ranch dressing he said they didn't. He could have told me they had run out and I would have been fine with that. Then he started to smirk because he could see I was frustrated. The food here is ok compared to other Mexican restaurants around although I always end up with a stomach ache after eating here so I don't come often, the portions are generous the bad thing about this place is how long you have to wait to get your food especially if your in the drive through, I had to get out of the line and order inside otherwise I would've been in like for 35+ min like the other people, and if they get your order wrong you have another long wait. This place was a 4.5 star place to me, except when I noticed the receipt. On top of all the fees, they charge an additional 4% on the food for credit/debit transactions. In a day and age where everything's virtually done via cards, this "Customer Service Charge" is hardly warranted. Maybe it's the cost of a small business means to accept credit cards, but it's an inconvenience to the shopper, in my opinion. On top of that my order was taken wrong and I was ignored at the drive thru for a few minutes trying to get her attention. Please stop hiring people that do not want to work or atleast have trouble maintaining a good attitude especially in customer service. If you want to receive bad customer service and get the window slammed in your face I highly recommend it. By the way I ordered a quesadilla of steak, I got 95% vegetables and 5% steak. We ordered dinner around 5:00 on a Sunday night. We used the online ordering system and it said our food would be delivered by 6:00. After waiting until 6:15 I called the restaurant to see if our order was on its way. The lady said she wasn't sure... I asked her to check since it was 15 minutes passed our delivery time. We finally got our food at 6:45. The door dash driver said he had to wait a long time to pick up our food and was very apologetic. We understand things happen especially during a dinner rush but I feel like the customer service could have been a little better. The food was alright. We ordered a couple tacos and some nachos. This is our go to for quick and delicious Mexican food. Having found a few favorites, I typically have the rolled tacos and my husband has chicken enchiladas. This time out we each decided to try something different. I went for a beef tostada while my husband tried a chicken chimichanga. Oh my goodness! Can't believe it took us this long to try something different from the menu. The tostada was perfectly portioned, the tortilla was cooked perfectly and not greasy, lettuce was crisp, and the shredded beef tender. My husband couldn't stop raving about the chimichanga. Sharing a bite, I have to agree it was also delicious. Again, the tortilla though deep-fried was not greasy and the right blend of chicken and other ingredients were flavorful and generously portioned. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of hot Cheetos by themselves, but in a burrito with nacho cheese and steak meat? it was a glorious combination of flavors. Perfect amount of spice where it probably won't burn twice. It was perfect. Whoever invented this burrito thing needs a promotion! The drive thru employee was really involved with making sure I had the best experience for my first time. He hooked me up with some Guacamole sauce to put on the burrito, and it was delicious! The one thing I miss the most about Los Angeles is the food. Everything in Santaquin is pretty much disappointing except for this FREAKING MECCA OF A TACO SHOP. I'm passing through town and was hungry so I stopped off here for a quick dinner. I had the Vegas burrito and it was delicious. It was made in a timely manner and the portions were very generous. I'm glad I ate here. There are a few things keeping it from being a five star review: 1. The dining area's garbage cans were overflowing. 2. There were two dirty tables that were not cleaned up during my twenty minute stay even though the employees were available. 3. There were a couple of food spills on the ground that needed to be mopped up but had only been swept. One was by the south door that leads to the patio, pretty visible. 4. My chair had a nail/screw sticking up through it and it ripped my new pants. The shift manager did come over to apologize but didn't offer to pay for the damage. After I finished eating I approached him and asked what he was going to do about the ripped pants and that's when he called the owners and then offered to refund what I paid for them. Kudos to them for doing what's right. I warned him that I saw another chair with a nail/screw poking through. He removed that chair also. This place was really good a few years ago, we used to eat there at least once a week (chicken taco night was the best). They started to go downhill. The food was less consistent, the prices went up little by little, and it almost seemed like they were using larger tortillas in order to keep the burritos the same size without as much filling. Stopped going there altogether. Finally tried it again a week ago and it seems like they made some improvements (although it was always hit and miss). Even offering free chips and salsa to the table. First time eating here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and flavorful and I got stuffed on just half! Has to take most of it home. The place was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. The only reason it didn't get five stars was the meat on my plate was dried out and almost crunchy.
