We were in a small town in Utah. Definitely super delicious! We weren't sure where to go, so we killed up on Travelocity and it got good ratings. It was definitely worth it. They had margaritas also. Nice! I had the fajitas, someone had the fish tacos, chicken tamales, and fajita salads. Everyone has a tasty experience. Our server was Kate. She was friendly, super helpful and attentive. From the time we walked in the door everybody was friendly. The kitchen was visible from a walkway, and it was super clean. Which I was very impressed with. I came in on a Thursday night at 8:00 p.m.. Three people running around behind the podium trying to figure out where to sit us in a booth. The restaurant was half empty. It was like I was watching the Three stooges as we waited 10 minutes for them to figure out where we can sit. I ordered the chicken quesadilla dinner and she said oh with a side of rice and beans, ugh. The chicken was extremely oily. It was served with sour cream and guacamole and what was presented to me was a teaspoon of each on the plate it was laughable. We actually waited 40 minutes for our dinner. My friend who is a light drinker finished two margaritas. At least the blueberry margarita was delicious, that saved the day. The wait staff has to walk long distances and carry one or two items. They don't have any busboys and the weight staff carries one or two items from the kitchen to the front. I'm not sure why our dinner took 40 minutes but it was not acceptable. I almost got up and asked what was going on. At least my companion's meals were delicious. Then we presented with three separate checks and we asked why they said oh because the other waitress who originally took her order advice that's what we wanted which we never did. This place needs more management, more checklists, and more operational procedures put in place to be more efficient for me to come back. The food was average The wait time was below average The wait staff could improve as well. With a private group of six, and sitting next to a party of at least twelve, we were treated with plenty of attention to details and our needs were met. We ordered a variety of foods from salads to quesa dias. I splurged with chicken enchiladas mole style. TO DIE FOR! These best our local Mexican mole all heck! Excellent food, great service on a Saturday at the busiest of times, and our server checked back to make sure we were satisfied and even refilled water. We recently came to eat here and it was amazingly superb. I've actually tried Maracas a couple times before and wasn't super impressed but I must've been getting the wrong dishes because this time around, I could not stop eating. I got the Maracas Enchiladas with green sauce. Oh my goodness, it was to die for. The juicy asada on top of the enchiladas was chef's kiss. The flavors were amazing. I also ordered the horchata and that was so tasty. The waitress was so friendly and accommodating. We had probably 10 people there and she did a great job. They have really intricate and ornate decorations and it's so cute inside. They have lots of seating and I'm honestly craving the maracas enchiladas again just writing about it read more

We live in Orem, but Maracas is worth the drive. We come several times a year. The winter menu with the Hot Chocolate is a must-try.

Decent Mexican food. I like the salsa, wife doesn't. Large portions and friendly staff.

The food here is good. I'm not someone who likes cilantro because it tastes like soap. But if you like it, you'll love their salsa because it has a lot in it. The service can be a bit slower when they are busy but that is normal. We've eaten here a few times and although it is a bit more on the pricey side, you get large sizes. The atmosphere is good and there is plenty of off street parking. read more

If I could add -0 stars I would. Never been there, heard they were good. Thought I'd try the "queso". When I get the take out bag from the really rude dismissive waitress, I was surprised the bag was "so big". No wonder I was charged $9.75. The price alone was enough to make me wonder. I'm looking forward to this almost-$10 "queso", only to be not just disgusted, but infuriated. First, where did this "restaurant" get the idea that packing a "liquid" in a flat container is ok? Second, throwing in an entire bag of chips will never make up for the slop they claim is "queso". Third, not only was the "queso" spilled all over the container, they poured it on top of a paper/foil inside the flat container. Paper, that was literally falling apart from the hot "queso". And to call the disgusting mess they served "queso" is an insult to the dish. It was like melted cream cheese with some green things I'm guessing were supposed to be peppers, and some nasty curdled things (or the paper) mixed in. It was disgusting ; not just to look at, but the taste was gross and just nasty. If I hadn't been so exhausted from my 2 hour drive home from work, I would have driven back and made them give me a refund. How people recommend this place to EAT is crazy; if you can't even get "queso" made right, what are they even doing??? I wish I never went into that place - completely ruined my night. read more

We were excited to try this place! It's really cute and clean and the staff is really nice! We ordered the cheese enchiladas and the street tacos and loved both! The only thing we didn't enjoy were the chips and salsa but perhaps it's personal taste. To me, it seemed and looked to be flavored with black pepper - it had a strong black pepper taste and had quite a bit of black pepper floating to the top of the salsa. My husband and I ate lunch at Maracas on our way to Sandy, Utah. We loved it! We're from Arizona and have had lots of delicious Mexican food in our lifetimes. Maracas compares with the best. My husband had the chili relleno and I had the taco salad with shredded beef. That beef was so tender and flavorful! We also loved the salsa! I don't usually ask for a to-go box for salsa, but I did for this. I also want to give a shout-out to the staff. The hostess was friendly and our waitress (so sorry I don't remember her name) was outstanding, checking on us several times as we were the only ones eating outside on the patio. We had the worst service we have ever had anywhere. They were very busy the night we were there. The hostess seated us. Our waitress came and took our order. She never came back and checked on us, she didn't fill our drinks, nothing. I watched her walk past our table several times, but she never even acknowledged us. People were eating and leaving, and new people coming in. After waiting for our food for about 45 minutes, and watching everyone around us, and people who came in after us get their food, I walked up to the hostess desk and asked if someone could please check on our order. A girl walked back to the kitchen, came back, and said, our order had gotten 'misplaced', but they had found it, and it would be out soon. We had both ordered the crab enchiladas. When we got our food, the enchiladas were barely warm, and were not good. It was the first time we had been there. First impressions are everything. We will not go back. read more
