The arcade was a huge hit, especially when we wanted a break from the heat, and the snack shack was perfect for grabbing a quick bite without having to leave the campground. They have a stocked pond on site as well as a pool, splash pad and mini spa. We've stayed on sites- W-4, W-7, F-4 and have had family stay in Cabins throughout our time here. All sites and cabins are well kept, tidy and provide both elements of a private and social gathering. The bathhouse is near the main office while the other restrooms throughout property are no more than a 2-3 minute walk from your site. The cabins do have a full bathroom and you do not need to hold and press to keep the shower head on. The Cabins also offer a gazebo with propane grill. The nature trail on site is short but can be challenging with unlevel ground and nature's confetti (wet leaves) ultimately bringing you towards Lake Warren (bonus there is a beautiful koi pond on the right hand side of the residential gravel road in the residential area). Past the pool area there are also basketball courts and a tennis court. Every weekend there are activities that are family and budget friendly. We can't wait to return.

Vowed to search for another campground that we can regularly visit and call our summer escape. Fast forward to this year, and we just got home from our 4th visit! This KOA is smaller, but is packed with great service and amenities. My kids love it here, and I love that I can keep an eye on them when they run off to the playground. There are usually events through the weekends to keep everyone entertained. The grounds are also close to the Trexler Nature Preserve and the Appalachian Trail for some good hiking. The only negative: Took one star off because we've noticed that they built up tent pads and gravel "driveways" for the tent sites and smaller vehicle sites. It doesn't give much leeway how you can set up your site. The tent pads are also rock hard and very unforgiving on tent stakes.

A fun and relaxing campground! This was our 4th visit over…read morethe last three years to Sun Retreats in Lancaster and we had a great time. We have enjoyed the numerous upgrade/updates that have been made throughout the campground since Sun Outdoors has taken over. The site spaces are better than average with tree cover between most of them, except the few near the Friendship Circle. The sites we've stayed in have been very level with good water pressure. SR has lots of accessible amenities including playgrounds, mini-golf, boating and hiking trails. The pools are our favorite amenities. There is a splash pad for small toddlers, a small play pool for beginners, and outdoor pool that is connected to a large indoor pool and a nice hot tub! Many hours have been spent at these pools. A snack bar/restaurant is beside the pool complex. There are weekly activities planned for guests. This past weekend there was a scavenger hunt throughout the campground, which was planned by the seasonal campers. We had a blast running (then borrowing a golf cart) to complete the hunt! One of the things that sets SR Lancaster apart from the other campgrounds are the seasonal campers. We are always impressed how welcoming and friendly the seasonal campers are towards those of us who visit for weekends/short periods. This welcoming attitude does not happen at other campgrounds!! My wife and I said when we are finally ready to have a seasonal site, this would be where we would make our home. We have already booked future visits to return. Highly Recommend.

The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

This year there is an new outdoor gym and an take-out ice cream and coffee shop . Internet works great and the pool and hot tubs are amazing weekends are super busy and its quiet on weekdays.
