First time walking in a dealership to fix something I was a little skeptical. First person I met was Nicole. She's in the service department. Amazing young lady helped with everything I needed and made it happen. So if you're in the area and need your vehicle serviced ask for her.. she kinda runs the show. As I was leaving the parking lot I heard my exhaust leaking a little more than normal. Got in it this morning and sounds like the mechanic was doing pull ups on the ****ing exhaust. Took it back this afternoon after asking to drop it off the service manager said I'd rather you be here just to tell me it was my fault that they already told me about it.. no shit. Paid over 2 grand for a 100k service on the truck. Apparently there was "a minor oil leak" that needed to be fixed, even though all levels were normal, there were no spots on the driveway, and no lights/indicators on the dash or onboard diagnostics. Fine. He was handling it, and we were leaving that day to drive to Georgia in a brand new murdered out Tahoe rental after school. I knew I wanted proof but I didn't push for it. Until it was too late... Fast-forward not even a month and a half later and the check engine light comes on. Today of all days (related to my latest business endeavor). So I get home, pop the hood, pull the fill cap (smoke trailing out of it), and the dipstick with barely anything on it... Wipe, redip, and to my horror it is completely dry! No oil spots on the driveway, crawled underneath and couldn't see a spill, and there was no oil anywhere under the hood. F*** DON MEALEY CHEVROLET They picked the wrong time to f*** with me. Thanks to Don Mealey Chevrolet in Clermont FL for leaving me stranded at the dealership today! When I recieved notice I can get the battery replacement on the Bolt I happily scheduled the service. I was told by Don Mealey Chevrolet when scheduling the service I would have a loaner car (as that's what this letter from GM even states). BUT They left me stranded with no car, no rental, no loaner! The manager of the day wanted to reschedule after just telling me they had no loaners and would not have any in the near future. Then proceeds to tell me they have 60 loaners out, so where are they? Buyer beware!! Avoid at all costs. Purchased a used car from them. On the drive home had a flat tire. When the tire was removed, it was split on the inside. Replaced all four tires and at that time decided that a visit to a reputable car dealer was needed. I was just handed a quote for $3,000 in needed repairs to the vehicle. I wanted to find a way to leave a review for Jake Clark salesperson in Clermont. Normally I receive an email for the survey but I have not received one . However Jake needs credit where credit was due. We entered the facility and someone directed us to Gio. While nice and he did walk us over to a great option, he did have a "too cool for school" or "I'm busy" kind of mentality. I first want to remind all sales people to Never judge a book by its cover. You never know who is under those sweat pants and a sale is a sale is a sale. Period. Thankfully Gio had an appointment and handed us off to Jake who was a much better fit for me personally. Jake was kind, patient, thorough and just overall a great guy. He took his time , make sure we were comfortable as well as our children and followed up with us after our purchase to ensure we were happy. Well done Jake I too am in sales and this is how you solidify that future sale as well. I'm happy to send people your way who may be looking because I know you will take care of them and not judge view them as a sale but a person and more importantly a future sale. The long game is just as important as the immediate. Bought a used car from theses folks on 12-06-2020. Josh was the salesman. Super nice guy. The vehicle got damaged between the the time they listed it and the time I arrived. No big deal, things happen. They knocked some off the price and I was satisfied. Here's where the problem starts. The cashiers check I brought with me is now about $500 more than the new price of the car. "We'll send you a refund check Monday". No problem. That was over three weeks ago!!!! When I call and check on my refund it's always going out tomorrow. I have accepted that it's never coming. I would sue them but I live in North Carolina and it's not worth the trips it would take to do that. I guess they know that. The only thing I can do now is blast them on every review site and that's exactly what I intend to do. No way to do business!!! read more

Horrible!! We came in looking at a used suburban the dealership had just received in on trade on Saturday Sept 2. They wanted to sell it to us AS IS with no inspection or cleaning or anything for $47,200 as they just received it an hour or so before. They would not budge on price. The sales guy then says they wouldnt come down on price because they were going to put it on the lot the next day for $50k so they were giving us a special deal. We looked online today (Monday, Sept 4) and they have the vehicle listed for $46,800. Shady dealership!! Will definitely spread the word! read more

Brought vehicle in for routine maintenance and an issue with the recirculate function not working. They had to keep the vehicle over night due to the function issue. Upon pick up, they said the recirculate is designed not to close. Also, they would not give a sign off for the rental car, nor did they wash the vehicle as required. Would never recommend this place. read more

One star because I cant give zero. I took my truck, 2018 Canyon, in for a rattle in the door. I was first told it was a problem in the "B" pillar and I had to take it to a body shop. Ah, I have no "B" piller, it's an extended cab with suicide doors. Next I waited 3 days and finally told them I was picking up the truck, fixed or not. When I went in to get it, it had not even been taken in to be looked at. The service request was still on the counter. Still has the problem. I will never go to this dealer for a new car or service. I would rather drive out of state. They are clueless. read more

WARNING: Think twice before taking your vehicle to Don Mealey for service. I just took my truck here for service - oil change - rough idle - and a vibration at 70 MPH. They overcharged me for the oil change (the 5.3 takes just under 6 quarts NOT 8), they said the computer had NO codes for the rough idle and did NOTHING (and its still rough), and that the vibration was the tires and that I had 2 defective tires. I left the dealership this morning, went a block down the street to Discount tire and they road balanced the tires that Don Mealey said had to be replaced in about 15 minutes. ($20) I still have the vibration at 70 MPH so basically I got ripped off for an oil change and they did NOTING else. Also Discount said the rear wheels were not even torqued down at all. Nick in the service department is awesome!! We have had to have some warranty work on our Sonic and were refereed to Don Mealy from a friend and we are so glad they did!! Nick was able to provide us with a rental car while our Sonic was repaired which really helped! We also just brought our Saturn Vue in to be looked at for some squeaky break issues that we had brought to a different Chevy dealer a few months ago and they said that everything was fine. The brakes have been continuing to squeak more and more so after the great service Nick provided for us we decided to bring in the Saturn and have him look at it. We are so fortunate that we brought it there. At first look the front brakes needed to be repaired so we approved the repairs and were going to pick up the car the next day. Nick called us to let us know that he had his mechanic take apart the drums on the back brakes just to make sure everything was OK with them. Turns out they were worse than the front brakes and a safety issue. If Nick hadn't had the foresight to have his mechanic take a closer look at the brakes who knows what would've happened. Nick was able to provide us again with a loaner car so that we didn't have to be a car down while the repairs were finished. We got our Saturn back last night no more squeaking at all and it drives better than it has in a long time! read more

One of the worst car looking experiences of my life. I went there to view the equinox and blazer because I wanted to see how they looked and what the prices were. The sales man walks over and immediately I tell him I'm not buying today but all I wanted were prices. He said "okay" and then said he is never pushy and he won't push me into anything. After I looked over the cars, he told me to come inside the building so he can get the numbers together to give me. I said, okay. When I went inside he asked me for my car keys so his manager can also get my car quoted since I wanted a trade. I said okay. Then waiting at a table for about 15-20 for numbers he came back and told me. I said thank and noticed he didn't give me my car keys. Then he left for another 15-20min and gave me a quote of another car that I originally said I wanted. But of course he was trying to sell me the most expensive one. Then after telling him for the 3rd time I am not buying today and all I wanted were numbers, he still began saying how he wants me to drive away today in a car and what if they offered me up to $5000 for my old car. I was thinking, well, you were low balling me with $500 and now that I want to leave you are offering me more money. I could tell he was getting frustrated because then he said, well what if I give you a $0 car today and then said, well I guess we are getting somewhere. By that time after waiting in that lobby for about a hour, I had enough. I told him no and give me my car keys. He then left the table(saw him fooling around at the managers desk with his friends) for another 15-20min to just give me my keys. Then the manager came out and they both just stared at me like I was crazy. Worst experience ever, never again with this place. Extremely pushy, makes you wait for a hour for numbers and holds your keys for ransom until you buy one of their cars. read more

I stopped in the service department today to get my tire repaired. I had stopped at two other tire repair stores earlier today with an estimated wait time of at least an hour and a half (one even with an appointment). With my three-year-old in tow, I was hoping to make it a quick stop. The mechanic, Justin, came out immediately to take my car back and told me it would be done in no time. I waited in their very clean waiting area, stocked full of refreshments and snacks, for approximately 20 minutes while my three-year-old watched cartoons on the children's area TV. Everyone we worked with at this dealer was amazing, they worked so hard for us to create a finance option that we were comfortable with. Adrian was so patient, he let us test about every vehicle on the lot!! Then they created different finance options for almost all of the vehicles that we tried. It was a process of 2 days or more... This was such a unique experience because I had previously visited Stingray Chevrolet and they looked like they could care less in helping us. I am glad we found Adrian who was so patient. The company is only interested in the bottom line. No care or concern for the customer. They went behind closed doors and set up financing even though we had our own bank. There was no honestly. I was lied to and given misguided information. And they are totally unwilling to help fix any wrong that has been done. I would not recommend this dealership or ever use it again. read more
