Still no better. The service is still the same bad. The food still has bland and most of it tasted like leftover several days ago. Plus we did instead of throwing chips away after customers left we did see them throw the leftover chips back in with the chips bin and reserve them again. We left after seeing that. We are from our of town and was doing the 127 yard sale. Took a lunch break at Don Pedros and greatly impressed. We were greeted warmly when we walked in and was sat right away. A server came for our drink order and a different server brought us our chips and dips directly after that. Fast and kind service and the food is delicious! read more

Don Pedro's has easily become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I still like the others, but the food and the service at Don Pedro's is far superior than other Mexican restaurants nearby. Being a regular patron of Don Pedro's, we almost have our drinks (Diet Coke) ready before we even sit down. The staff knows us well, and brings my favorite habanero dip, with the chips & salsa, without me having to ask for it. My favorite is the fajitas, but you can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a real friendly 'family-like' atmosphere and it makes you feel right at home. There is plenty of seating, so even on busy nights you rarely have to wait for a table. I'm not going to ding it a star for this, because the fault really falls upon whomever they're leasing the building from, but be careful if you visit while or after a moderate/heavy rain. The parking lot holds water and if you can't park right next to the building, you're going to get your feet wet trying to puddle jump. I can guarantee it. I hope the owners of the building can get this problem fixed because it's been like this for years. It's never stopped us from going, but can be a pain knowing the problem is there during rainfall. read more

I will no longer eat here. This is now the second time I have gotten an upset stomach after eating here, ran to the bathroom the whole night and next morning.Went to dinner with my hubby and son and I ordered the Chile Rellenos, they were covered in a red sauce that had ground beef, almost like sloppy Joe mix on top. It basically soaked into the rellenos rendering them a sloppy mess. So my plate became a weird sloppy Joe type mess on top of soggy peppers, stuffed with cold rubbery cheese. Yuck, and then I got sick. I am now calling this place Poopy Pedro's or Don Poopies! People love this place because it's inexpensive and they serve big old messy platters. So messy platters for cheap. The food is sub par, I have eaten quality Mexican food all over, and this ain't it. read more

Stopped at this GREAT Mexican Grill for lunch on our way home! I'm allergic to CORN and they were able to fry up some fresh flour tortilla chips for me (still warm) so I could have some dip and chips. I had the Fajita Quesadilla with grilled chicken. It was HUGE and it was delicious! read more

Please read this. I was visiting Kentucky with a friend for the week and he had briefly mentioned the deals Don Pedro's had for lunch so I thought we'd check it out. There was plenty of seating and we were greeted immediately. I ordered a frozen margarita but after a quick check was informed that their machine wasn't running cold enough yet. Before I could say a regular margarita was fine our waitress brought one out, saying it was free while they worked on the machine. As soon as I finished my drink I was brought a frozen margarita that the manager had personally made in a blender. The weekday lunch specials had been left in our menus, but when we asked they let us order from them anyway. Everything was prompt and delicious and all of the authentic Mexican-American staples were represented. This will be the first place I go when coming back to KY. read more

Where do I even begin this was the absolute WORST try at fresh Mexican food, that I ever had the displeasure of throwing away!!! Let's start at the salsa which had the distinct scent and taste of metal can, and the chips were so greasy the bag is wet. On to the dinner ordered 2 chicken fajitas what a JOKE. The smell of rotten produce which after picking through, was the tomato and green peppers. I knew something was off you could tell just looking at it, it looked old like they reheated and put it into takeout tins. The avocado wasn't green it was brown on top with some green under the brown. The rice wasn't fully cooked and had absolutely NO TASTE LIKE NADA! Refried beans with I guess was cheese nope, you could just see food poisoning if you dare to eat. Even the tortilla's were old and hard in different places on them NEVER AGAIN. Guess this is what you get, when you figure order take it out cause the place smells like overwhelming fabuloso. If I lived closer to town I would have brought it all right back to this place... read more

This has happened before and it is making me not want to eat here anymore . I had ordered a beef chimichanga with queso and a side of rice. I get a whole meal with all the sides and it was steak instead of ground beef and barely any queso and no queso on the rice. I used to love this place, but they are just getting worse and worse. read more

My wife and I just moved back to Kentucky from West Virginia. We always love to find a great Mexican restaurant to dine in where we live so that we can enjoy a place to eat after church, on weekends, or just to spoil ourselves. Don Pedro's has been a blessing. The portions are more than plenty, the staff are very generous, you never wait for anything, and I'm always surprised how affordable my bill is. I couldn't ask for a better establishment for us to enjoy. The food is great and we are treated fabulously. Patio on the side puts this place at the top of ameri mex places in Lawrenceburg. Beers are cold , enchiladas are cheesy. They have a vegi quesadilla which makes the gf happy.
