    Yum!! Salsa!!

We made out order on the intercom and we Got the receipt with the order. It was supposed to be the shrimp a la diabla, a quesadilla and an order of beans. When we got home to our surprise we were missing the beans and the quesadilla. My daughter was so disappointed. They were couple of times that they missed things. We should've checks before leaving. This is so frustrating because they are already closed for the night. Food it's always good. But the disappointment of not getting what we order it's very difficult.

After soccer practice, Came here to the South Fresno location and the salsa bar is bigger and nicer. The food is pretty consistent my tripas burritos was delicious and my daughter enjoyed a shrimp burrito. It's clean and has a lot of space to dine in as well. The service is fast per usual and I just enjoy the consistency that Don Pepe gives. The only thing is that the carne asada is DRY. I hope they change that out soon.

This last visit is probably going to be my last visit. The first time I got tacos and burritos from here I was very satisfied but the last couple of times I've been grossed out with how much fat and nerves the meat has had. The quality of the food has gone out the door while the prices have been steadily rising. After cringing from paying a large amount and barely eating a few bites I regretted my choice. The folks were nice, but nice doesn't keep me as a customer. I should've known by the recent reviews that I would not be satisfied. Oh well. On to the next taco place.

A friend of mine told me about this place, I usually pass it up but today I said let's try it!!... There Spicy shrimp with chicken Burrito was delicious, and long .. but it was spicy as hell you DO NOt need salsa for it But maybe some Lemon, that's it though The lady at the window was nice and gave out extra condiments.

Top: Buche and carne asada tacos. Bottom, chicken tostada

One of the best fast food institutions in the Central Valley. Great food, great taste, excellent portions, affordable prices, fast and efficient service, a salsa bar, clean and spacious, fast food and they serve beer! What more can a person ask for?

I'm sorry to the nice people here, but this was an absolute waste of $20 and our time. First off, how do you call this Pastor!? It was chewy stringy fat! No flavor from the meat or anything in the burrito. Needed the green sauce just to even have a tiny bit of flavor! Threw my burrito cause I couldn't stand trying to power through eating it anymore! By far one of the worst burritos I've had in a long time. Wife got a bean, cheese and rice burrito, hers didn't really have any rice. Just beans and cheese. We tried to give it another shot after years of not coming here. NEVER AGAIN!

Happy they're closer! Good food and fast service. I've been getting their shrimp burrito, and ceviche for years.

This is my to go place when it comes down to eating Garnet Asada tacos. I usually go to the one on Blackstone that one is the best in my opinion I came into this one. The store is very clean hallways the floor is everything. Maybe it's the cook I have no idea but usually when I come in I order One of the tacos and the meat is just steaming hot with verse of flavor and it taste like grilled beef, not imitation but real beef this time. Unfortunately the taco wasn't sizzling huh and the meat it could definitely use salt and this is the first time ever that I'm actually Eating a taco that I need to put some meat in. I mean some salt I rarely ever have to do that, but who knows Lil off today but I gave them four stars anyways this is kind of chewy too and it taste overcooked. Maybe that's why other than that customer service was very Sweet and the salsa were on point. The salsa area was clean as you walk in the store was clean and they have the biggest knuckles ever.

    Mouth watering tacos.

i will jot be ordering 3 taco's anymore. too dang much meat /food. it is almost a crime to have that much with sooooo much deliciousness . go and try it

This place is officially bookmarked for every future drive through Fresno!…read more The lengua and chicharrón tacos were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!

This location took over the old Popeyes on McKinley and First. Not the best location but plenty of good food (Pho) around this intersection. Not that that matters to me... some of the best foods I've ever had are in the most unexpected places. You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. The girl behind the counter greeted us right away, very friendly. We got to sample a couple of their Agua Frescas before making our decisions as well. I got 3 different tacos: Asada, Cabeza, and Tripa (extra crispy). He got all Asada. We weren't huge fans of their Asada. We both agreed it felt/looked/tasted more like ground beef... wasn't cooked how we'd like. Asada was in last place for me. Cabeza was good, came in second. The Tripa was my favorite. Very good. My friend got Lengua and Adobada-- pretty sure she enjoyed hers. For the drink, we agreed on the Cucumber one-- it was very refreshing/yummy. We also sampled the Horchata. It was good but slightly too sweet for me. It's not very big inside but there's still a good amount of tables for guests to sit at. 8-10? More or less. They keep the tables clean... but, there are a lot of flies buzzing around the windows. We had to battle with one very persistent/pesky fly trying to get our food. It's a shame because that definitely docks a point, sorry. Tacos were good, not the best I've ever had though. I know Asada may be a basic meat choice but we've had some damn good Asada... they missed the mark. Also, I hope they find a way to resolve the fly issue. With that said-- I've gotta put them in the middle.
