We were craving Mexican and Mi Casa was the closest restaurant. We were up for an adventure and decided to give it a try. Overall the sentiment was eh. The food is generally bland but the chips and salsa were decent. Service was terrible. The chips and salsa are quick to the table. The chips were fresh and crispy. Nothing stale about these bad boys. The salsa was decent and spicy. But don't eat it too fast cause they are not quick to refill the chips or the salsa. We ordered combination dinners with a variety of burritos, enchiladas, tacos, rice and beans. While it looked great on the plate it was all generally bland with little flavor. It was mostly edible but nothing special. The chicken for the enchiladas was cooked well enough but it had no spice, no garlic, no salt, no onion, nothing. It was your generic boiled, dry chicken wrapped in a tortilla. The enchilada sauce didn't really taste like anything but it was wet and added something to the dryness of the chicken. The ground beef in the tacos also seemed like it was boiled. It was grey and flavorless. Again no salt, garlic, onion, or pepper. They could have gone next door to Big Lots and gotten taco seasoning to add something resembling flavor. But the tortilla shell was expertly fried, it was crispy without being too greasy or too hard. Now onto the rice and beans. These are staples of mexican food. You can generally tell how good the rest of the meal is going to be based on their taste and flavor. Yep, just as I feared, bland. The rice tasted like plain, white rice. Trying to think of something to say about it, it was light and fluffy. The beans were runny and again bland. These were not slow simmered on the stove. They could have easily been from a can. It wasn't good at all. I tried dumping the salsa on them, didn't help. While we were seated quickly that was the fastest part of the service. Even though the place was empty our chip basket and drinks often went empty. They also weren't friendly or hospitable. I'm not expecting to meet my new bff but a warm, friendly feeling from people handling things you're about to ingest is always nice. While this restaurant in a strip mall is surprisingly cute it is also surprisingly tasteless. No desire to go back.

Classic Mexican food + fast service! We ordered and got our food less than 10 minutes later. We were in & out in less than 45 minutes, our server was friendly and prompt, and the food was hot & tasty. No complaints here, we will be back next time we are in the area and craving a Mexican fix.

I heard some good reviews about this restaurant so I decided to try it out myself. First off, don't let location fool you... from the outside of the building it doesn't look like much but once you enter you will be impressed! The decoration of the restaurant is very authentic, colorful, and there is plenty of room to accommodate a large crowd. Our server sat us within a minute of walking in. Their menu is pretty extensive and a bit unique for a Mexican restaurant (which you can find on their website). I ordered the Fajita Cozumel which was a little bit on the pricey side but worth every cent; it's easily enough food for two people. My friends both ordered burritos, they were the size of the plate they were served on... huge! Overall I enjoyed the experience and would go back in a heartbeat. The only real criticism I have was the server took a little while to refill our chip basket. Other than that, I found the place to be very enjoyable! If you're looking for real authentic Mexican food and a vibrant artistic environment, this is the place!

For example, if you want a non-beer drink, there are no fountain beveridges. Just random bottled drinks like apple and orange juice. (with pizza?!) To order, you have to go to the counter, but there's no menu to look at once there. So we were literally toting menus back and forth from the table to the counter to show them what we wanted to order. Chaotic is a good word to describe our experience. The pizza was delicious, I'd happily eat it again. But the service and menu/drink situation were so bad it was almost laughable. We were the only group in the entire restaurant, and I think I know why. While the restaurant building is exactly what you'd expect, the outdoor patio looked inviting with ample seating and an open fire, but I'm not sure I'll be going back. I'm only giving this place two stars because the pizza was so good. ‍

It was saturated in honey and had a slight stinky cheese type undertone, but we didn't complain and ate a couple slices. I'm expecting so I didn't try a beer, but both times I had a lukewarm beverage from their small selection. My husband did get beer from the wall, a few each time, and noted they were mostly foam despite a careful pour. Again the price does not fit the quantity. The second visit we ordered the white pizza. NOWHERE on the menu does it state that it is heavily doused with lemon, including several lemon seeds. My husband is sensitive to lemon. The cheese was also clumped and undercooked. We brought this to the attention of the staff and a very rude man literally said "what do you want to do about it?" We didn't get past a bite each, the pizza was 22 dollars, and they gave us 10 off. For real? Lemon is not on the menu description. And seeds definitely don't belong on pizza. I'm glad my husband brought it up because if it had been me, I'd have most certainly made a bigger fuss. I don't usually leave poor reviews but felt compelled after this visit. We won't return and I'm sure they won't care one bit. So many better pizza and beer options in the area. I will also mention briefly that for the amount of staff they have standing around, you'd think the place would be cleaner. Eww.

Our Sunday dinner started a little rocky. It took 5+ minutes to see our server, the kitchen was apparently backed up, and the Watermelon Mojito advertised on the new cocktail menu wasn't available. The Long Island, however, was excellent. From there, things began to improve. The bread was light and airy with an herb dipping oil, and the house salad was fresh mixed greens with a really good house-made Italian dressing. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was the star. Fresh, al dente pasta with a rich, creamy, garlicky sauce and a well-seasoned, crispy chicken cutlet. Absolutely delicious. Melissa loved her Chicken Parmesan with gnocchi. When we asked for extra red sauce, they made it fresh and brought out a warm bowl a few minutes later -- BIG points for that. Our server also became much more attentive and personable once things settled down. A shaky start, but San Marino definitely finished strong. After driving past it countless times for years, I'm already looking forward to stopping again.

It was pretty busy for a Sunday at 6:30pm, but we were seated immediately. Our server took a little while to get to us, but quickly apologized and gave us a heads-up that food would take a bit longer because they were so busy. We appreciated the honesty. The table bread and dipping oil were tasty and definitely helped hold us over. I did try to order a watermelon mojito they were advertising on a TV inside the dining room but I was told they no longer had them. So I stuck with water. For dinner, I ordered the chicken Parmesan gnocchi with a side salad and their house Italian dressing. The salad was fresh and delicious (and not a shred of iceberg lettuce!) and the house made Italian dressing was very tasty. It was a golden Italian that had a nice flavor. My gnocchi was AWESOME -- tender, airy and full of flavor, and the chicken cutlet was delicious. I asked for extra sauce because I like my pasta saucy, and they brought me a gravy boat full of freshly made, piping-hot sauce! Turns out their sauces are made to order, which was such a nice surprise.and wellllll worth the wait. Prices were a little higher than I expected, but you can tell the food is made fresh and with care. There's definitely some love going into these dishes. I was a little discouraged in the beginning from the rough start but it all worked itself out and we left really happy that we finally gave San Marino a shot. There are several other things on the menu we both want to try, so we'll definitely be back!
