OMG Chile verde con carne, yummy. Breakfast potatoes diced small browned perfectly. Eggs over medium done right. Home made tortillas like grandma used to make. Definitely two enthusiastic thumbs up. You guys. This place is YUMMY! The options for burritos all seem enticing. Prices seemed steep, but holy cow! This is the biggest west Texas burrito I've ever seen in my life! Texas literally goes big or goes home and Don Tomás Cafe took that to the next level. Oh and guys their salsa they give you for the burritos is to die for! So so sooooooo GOOD! One of my favorite things about a restaurant is when they don't restrict you to the breakfast menu at breakfast time. I'm not a huge breakfast person. With that being said, even though the restaurant is small the food is well worth your time. I ordered Asado and Chile Asadero and both tasted excellent. Great burritos I've had different ones every time we go. Sometimes not on purpose, as in they beg my order completely wrong and I end up with a different burrito. Like I ordered a chorizo egg cheese and I got home to a bean egg potato cheese. It's ok cause they're all delicious but not what i ordered. My boyfriend gets their large menudo he always says there's more pozole in it then actual menudo. He also says it's spicy which he loves. Comes with one piece of bread which if we were both eating it, it would've been an issue but he was good with it. Oh they have GREAT Chile, or salsa verde. It's delicious! read more

Lemme start by saying I love the flavor of the burritos, politeness of the staff, and quickness of having orders ready and done correctly. The ground beef comes with potatoes. Just a heads up for people who haven't eaten here before. I get that, but add beans and cheese. The tortillas are fresh and the flavor is always great with a hint of bacon. But today the burrito was 90% massive chunk of potato. Barely any meat or bean at all. The two stars is the the barbacoa I had today. The flavor was excellent. The main issue was there was a fatty pink uncooked piece the length of the burrito. I couldn't stop gagging enough to take a picture but it made me so grossed out I didn't finish the burrito or my meat/potato burrito. I'm well aware what barbacoa is but I can't believe that. I didn't bite into it, I take small bites because barbacoa always has fat in the meats that I pick out but this was at least 4 inches or more of a giant slimy pink meat. Worst thing I've seen in a long time. Don't let this deter you, when you go,just don't get the barbacoa. Get anything else. They have green and red sauce on the side. I haven't had the red so I can't speak for that, but the green has an excellent taste. Just wish it was puréed more into a sauce, it's super chunky. read more

The food is really good. It gets super busy at lunchtime. Need to go early. It's counter service but if you don't mind that it's great. The food is good enough to transcend any type of person or group. I saw all walks in there. There are tables to sit down at but you have to stand in line to order. We came to enjoy time for our lunch and was not impressed by her. The Cashier Adriana was rude and not polite. We asked her if the Asado was spicy and she said no se and rolled her eyes. Coming from a family of cooks, our founders decided they wanted to open a cafe to share the feeling of home that authentic Mexican cuisine offers. Word got around town about the freshly prepared dishes we cook up, and we quickly became a local go-to destination for delicious burritos made from fresh, homemade tortillas (something we've quickly become known for) and chile verde con carne. And since we make everything ourselves, our food has bold, delicious flavors that you can always count on. Stop by for breakfast or lunch (any time before 2 PM) for a meal you won't forget. If you like tequila and manhattans I think you will be happy. Service: The servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire visit especially with the waters. Huge kudos! Ambiance: I will say because the inside space is a bit tight and small, having conversation when the restaurant was busy proved a bit difficult but if that is the case they do have seating right outside in the lobby area and having conversations there should not be an issue. Best Burritos in Midland, very classy, always helpful and the guacamole was really good. I had the Barbacoa burrito and the Guacamole, which can be mixed with salsa.
