We went on a busy Sunday around 1:00pm. So maybe this is why the food was cold, unappetizing. I ordered the 'Mexican version of pizza' the corn tortilla is thick and oval shaped topped with your choice of meat, and beans, tomato, onions, lettuce fresh cheese. The cheese had no flavor and the beans were on the watery side, and the meat was carnitas but heavy on the fat and large chunks for a pizza style dish. I'm not sure if they serve complimentary chips and salsa, we were not asked if we wanted them or not, our water glasses were never refilled. I have eaten here before but it was mid afternoon and we ordered tacos and flautas and everything was delicious, wait staff was attentive. So maybe the chef and staff do better when traffic is slow. Came here for brunch cause i heard it was good.. I like the fact that they don't over charge for the food. My plate was $12 and it was the perfect amount of food. The potato's had delicious flavor and the bacon was nice and crispy. The inside is a small but they do have outside seating.. our waitress was patient and had my wife's tacos made to her liking. They also have a variety of Aguas Frescas.. definitely will be returning to try more of their food. read more

Extremely disappointed in this establishment we ordered two orders of carnitas tacos which were halfway filled with greasy fatty pieces of meat. We also ordered some pancakes with fresh fruit and got old nasty strawberries which look like they even have worms. The queso fundido was the only good thing we received. A good friend recommended this place to me a while back. I called today to ask a simple question about closing time because I heard they were staying open later than usual. A lady answered the phone in Spanish, which is fine. I asked my question in English. Instead of finding someone that could answer my question she just hung up on me. I get it's a Mexican restaurant, but there's people here who don't know Spanish. She could have a least tried to get someone bilingual on the phone instead of just hanging the phone up. The food was excellent, the only problem was that I ordered a lemonade and was charged $5.66 for it, I wasn't even able to enjoy it because it was a very sweet glass of water, no hint of any lemon or lime in the drink. We visited this place during the week and it was a nice place to have breakfast or lunch. The staff all seem very friendly and kind. The food was very tasty and all seemed fresh made and full of flavor. I had the chilaquiles with scrambled egg whites and they were pretty good. When I asked if they could prepare it with egg whites only the server told me their eggs were already cracked and ready to go from the morning so they wouldn't be able to do just a scrambled egg white, a little odd but no problem, she then came back and told me they were able to and they did but when I got it it had a funny taste so I didn't eat it. Other than the egg my meal was fine. My husband ordered a breakfast plate and he said everything was really yummy except for his eggs being just a tad overcooked and therefore rubbery. The only down side was his coffee mug smelled and tasted like they threw a capful of bleach into the coffee making it undrinkable. We let the server know and she quickly replaced it with another cup that was much better. It still had a strong bleach smell but it didn't taste like bleach as the first one did. Perhaps it's the material the cups are made of, it's really porous so maybe it just soaks up the bleach from their cleaning solution? Not sure but aside from those small hiccups the visit as a whole was very pleasant.
