    Lunch fajita plate

We really wanted to like this place, but it was typical Tex-Mex faire with ground beef for tacos. The staff were really nice and the service was quick. Chips were good but the salsa lacked heat. The rice was good and the beans were just ok...needed salt and cotija cheese. Overall it was just ok. I hope they tweak the menu and add more authentic Mexican spices.

We were visiting Greenville and past by Don Toro's, thought it looked fun, so popped in. We were greeted and seated right away and received our chips and salsa which were delicious. Service was excellent! The atmosphere was bright yellow and happy. Ordered the lunch chicken and steak fajitas which were perfectly cooked and generous proportioned. Will definitely be back on our next visit.

The food was amazing and the service was top notch! I told my wife I am ready to go back and eat here again.

Need to do better on advertising.

We walked in the door at 9:11pm was told they were closed. Website said open and the lights that were still on when we got there said close at 10. They turned them off after we walked out.

My sweetheart and I chose Don Toro for our Valentine's Day dinner as we thought it would be a good and romantic dinner..., or so we thought. Nope! It was a 180° around toward the worst! It took us around 30 minutes for us to wait on our chips and salsa, which we find UNACCEPTABLE! When the chips and salsa finally arrived, the salsa was smoky and fine although a bit watery... It then took us around 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive which is NOT GOOD especially when it's Valentine's Day... It then took us 40-45 minutes to wait on our main courses to arrive and we were getting really upset! We noticed several patrons next to us getting impatient and one couple threatened to leave if they don't get their foods, so that gave us a small sense of peace knowing we weren't the only ones alone. When the foods arrived (FINALLY!), it tasted okay as well... my sweetheart was unable to finish the rest of her foods, because it wasn't that good and her chicken was a bit too charred inside her burrito. My birria burrito was okay as well... We even asked the waitress to omit the queso from our order since it didn't arrive when we first asked for it earlier! Well, the waitress finally brought it over in a small to-go cup. That one small to-go cup for $5??? Main issue to rectify and address is food service and wait time. I understand that there are so many people and customers inside Don Toro for Valentine's Day... It would be really necessary to hire and put more servers and kitchen staff to work to accommodate that much of a crowd inside Don Toro. Please know that we will not go back to Don Toro again, because it took THAT long for us to wait and that really thinned our patience to the very last strand! Secondly, we do deserve better food than this, especially during the wait time.

The food was great and delicious. The service was great, explained specials. No waiting nice atmosphere was great.

Tomato soup and a taco salad for the two of us. Convenient to our motel, basic Tex-Mex choices, happy they were here for us. Good service.

Everything came out quickly, and our incredible waitress made us feel genuinely taken care of!!! (I wish I would have understood and asked her to repeat her name because she is a true blessing!!!) The food and drinks were just as impressive. We ordered the carne asada along with an enchilada and taco combo plate, plus a piña colada. The carne asada was cooked perfectly and paired with charro beans that were packed with flavor. The chicken enchilada was delicious, and the beef crunchy taco added the perfect texture to the plate. The chips and salsa were some of the best we've ever had super fresh with great flavor!! And while the piña colada had coconut on the rim (not my personal favorite), the drink itself was incredible. We loved the atmosphere, bright lights, fun decor and had super fun photo wall in the entrance we loved! Overall, such a great experience. We will definitely be stopping back in anytime we're in the area!

Three meals ordered; Pick 2 # 1 combination Steak fajita quesadillas Among these dinners were: Crispy taco Guacamole Soft cheese enchiladas Pork tamales Beef quesadillas Rice and beans ( see pictures) Everything was delicious! I can't say enough about the attentiveness of waitresses and staff. Georgia Hernandez has 40 years of experience and it made our dining memorable. Greeting from the General Manager ( Lorena ) was so welcoming. The owner , John Lewis, stopped by our table to express appreciation for our first visit . His experience and knowledge of recipes added to our understanding of the quality he puts in every dish. We were surprised when they served a complementary dessert- Skillet Apple Pie. The skillet was hot with apple pie and topped with vanilla ice cream! We have been enjoying this New find in Commerce for about Six months. It's absolutely fantastic…read more I always get the Street tacos. And they are always consistently delicious with a decent amount of meat. Expensive for Street Tacos. But delicious. Because of my many experience being consistent. I decided to use this restaurant to place my catering order for our families Christmas Dinner. I Totally understand it's a small business and didn't care about the pricing because my experience had been it was fair based on quality and quantity. I also understand catering is NOT a specialty. Pricing is per meal as if you were ordering dinner from the menu. I as I've stated I expected the $420 for 100 Taco's Beans and Rice and four Large White Queso's. I have ZERO complaints about the quality as always it's fabulous and that is why I gave five 's. The Quantity of main Ingredients (meat) for the Street Tacos is where I was disappointed. I ordered twenty five, four taco plates. Totaling 100 tacos. It was so disappointing to see that there was hardly any Chicken or Steak on so many of the taco's that my family made nagative comment's comments. Shocked at how much I had paid. It basically was four tacos with the equivalent of two taco worth of meat if that. I had also ordered four large white queso's. When I picked up the order there were so many White Styrofoam cups filled with salsa I didn't know what was what at the time. The cups were equivalent to a small soft drink cup. in my mind that was my mistake, I should've confirmed the sizes of what a Large Queso to go looked like. Nonetheless my purpose of this review is for future reference for anyone who orders catering, be aware that the food is absolutely worth the price. The disappointment was finding that out of four tacos per person. The meat equivalent was two tacos, so there were a lot of taco shells, but not a lot of meat and the queso size is not a large cup of queso it's what they're large size "bowl" is at the restaurant poured into a cup. So just be aware of those things maybe in time as the restaurant does more catering. These things will adjust themselves?? The Amount of Salsa and Chips with Onions and Cilantro was excessive. Compared to the most important things. The actual meal. I had told my sister NOT to order any other food from the Mexican Restaurant she normally goes to because I felt like I had ordered plenty. I was wrong. This definitely wouldn't stop me from eating here again, it would definitely keep me from placing a large catering order. Hopefully this will change by Next Christmas? It's our yearly Christmas dinner.

Food is always so good when we come. I will say it's better in person. The setting is real nice and…read morecomfy.
