Wow I am so impressed and pleased with this lovely place! 1) The service is fast. It seems like it's dad and his son working. Friendly and very attentive to his customers. 2) Are you looking for a good Mexican restaurant? Well this is the spot! It's hard finding a good Mexican restaurant in LA, but this is the spot!! Trust me. The food was a 11/10. The tacos were delicious. Everything was perfect. 3) I am coming back

Little piece of heaven! Found this cute little spot in LA a couple weeks ago and it is very clean and had exceptional customer service. Food was OMG, to die for, it was so good! Reasonable prices. I had the green chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, rice beans, it was perfection. The salsa was so delicious and spicy. Ive had green chilaquiles at other places and they are usually acidly because of the tomatillo, but THESE WERE SO DELICIOUS , loved it. My husband had an asada plate, he loved it as well, meat was tender and flavorful. Definitely worth a try, return customer for sure.

I recently found this restaurant on Yelp while looking for a place to have lunch on the way to a game at the Rose bowl. Parking is all street parking and you will probably have to walk a little ways but nothing too crazy. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side with a few tables, maybe 4-5. We ordered at the counter and sat down. I ordered an enchilada plate and an orange-pineapple agua Fresca and my bf got the spicy enchilada plate. The food came out pretty quickly and everything was delicious! The enchiladas came with fluffy rice and tasty beans. The agua fresca was not too sweet and very refreshing. This is a great spot for any meal although it appears they have a pretty extensive breakfast menu.

Authentico af Nice little place with a good size menu. Ordered the nachos rancheros and chilaquiles Both were muy rico

Don't normally leave reviews But found this place on a whim Looking for a place to eat And the food was amazing Spicy chicken enchiladas was 11/10 And assuming the gentleman that helped us was the owner Super sweet and kind and courteous Definitely be back Before and after picture posted Enchiladas were demolished

The best enchiladas I've ever had, and the spice levels was perfect and great rice and beans! Coming back for sure.

Taste just like my grandma's cooking! The salsa was absolutely amazing. Truly, unlike anything I have ever tasted before!! it was my first time trying this place and it was a little tricky to find parking. Also, just because School was getting out so I had to circle the block a few times, but that was not a problem because the food was so worth it.

My wife and I have wanted to try this place for some time, as we often see it on our drive home. Well, we finally took the plunge, and holy Molly, we were not disappointed. We both tried the hard-shell beef tacos with rice and beans. The beans were so yummy, and the tacos were nice and crispy with plenty of shredded beef. The salsa was outstanding and not too spicy. The place is small, and only street parking is available. They do take credit cards with a service fee of 40 cents. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Don Toños red enchilada combo. Not spicy at all, fluffy Spanish style rice and mouth watering refried beans.

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. I browsed the menu and had a really hard time deciding, but ended up on the cauliflower rajas taco, the crispy shrimp taco & the vegan Korean BBQ taco. The waiter recommended the crispy shrimp taco, but I actually enjoyed the vegetarian tacos more. I love cauliflower and poblano so that taco was a great starter. So much flavor and a variety of textures. The tortillas were super flavorful too. The potato taquitos came next and I am actually obsessed. The outside was perfectly crispy, the interior was soft, flavorful & cheesy. The sauce complimented it perfectly. I can not recommend them enough. The crispy shrimp taco was really good, but I also tried a crispy fish taco and would honestly get that over the shrimp. I think there was mango or something in the coleslaw of the fish taco because it had a really nice fresh flavor to it. Last, I had the vegan Korean BBQ taco. The mushroom shreds & the flavor were just perfect. Again, as a pescatarian I have really never had Korean BBQ because it's so heavily meat focused. I truly loved this taco.
