I went to Hecho en Mexico this past weekend with my friend, and I really enjoyed it. I had their mole enchiladas with cheese and veggies combination plate. The two enchiladas including the rice and beans were delicious; Not overly salty and the rice was so good and had the best puffy texture, lol. I also tried their agua de pepino con limón and it was yummy. My friend had their pambazo with an horchata and a side of fries, which she also loved. The place wasn't full when we arrived, but more people walked in as we started eating our meals, and the vibes and music just kept getting better! Our male server was attentive the entire time, and even when he took his break, his coworker came twice to ask if everything was okay. Overall a pleasant, inexpensive restaurant with a large seating area and I'm not 100% sure, but it seemed to have a private patio in the back? They also have a lady worker making handmade tortillas, which is a plus! We parked a few steps away from the restaurant on a meter parking space. Haven't been to this restaurant in over a decade. The scene is still very mexican, from the inside decorations to the outside of the building. Good music is always playing and some tvs got some game going on. My boys were both happy with their plates. I wasn't trying to eat hot food in this heat so I got some seafood. I cant say it hit the spot, not much flavor, it was much more on the zippy side from limes. The freshness is what helped me, with some ice cold drinks. My family and I usually wait for everyone to receive their plates then begin eating, we were all much to hungry for this. The waiter did say that the cook was making my food fresh. In my personal opnion/knowledge from cooking myself. I would've prepped the food that takes longer to cook to have it ready for all the order to be delivered in one delivery. The waiter had good service recovery, he offered me a free appetizer and fresh handmade corn tortillas. He seen that my boys had almost finished their food. I appreciate the gesture and kindness. Came in with my girlfriend, this was one of her local places from her childhood. We ordered off the breakfast menu. I had Chorizo and eggs, my girlfriend settled on machaca and eggs. Both came with beans, potatoes, and tortillas. The server brought chips, salsa, and hot beans dip. We enjoyed all of them, my girlfriend especially liked the bean dip. The salsa was tasty and had a good amount of heat. The food was tasty and delivered hot. We dug in immediately and got to work on eating meal. We ended up making mini burritos with the tortillas. I have no complaints about this place! All the food was amazing, and the portions were very generous. Every single dish was delicious, and my personal favorites are the Asada fries and the aguachiles. Just beware, the aguachiles are very spicy!!! I went around lunch time and there was plenty of seating. Our server was very sweet as well, and worked very fast. Such a good spot! The food was bomb, the drinks were delicious and the vibe inside is so cute. I had a tamarindo margarita, it was strong and tasty. Tangy with the right amount of sweetness. I also got a mangoniada marg, it was also strong but so good. The only thing I would recommend is the spicy jalapeño marg, it was just that JALAPEÑO. The spice was fine but it needed a little more sweetness to balance out the taste of the jalapeño. The service was great too! The camarones were extra garlicky, just how I like them. My wife and I were invited to have lunch at Hecho En Mexico by our two friends at this well know area in El Sereno a suburb of L.A. We have been here before for a fun riser at Hecho En Mexico couple years ago. We never haven't eat at the restaurant before our friend told us the food is really good. When we arrived at the restaurant it was almost packed with people but the waiter found us a table just for the four of us. The atmosphere of the restaurant is live with people celebrating company partys and other occasions. The waite brought us chips and salsa and he ask us our drink order. Then the waiter can back to get our order I order the two chili renello plate and my wife order the taco and chili renello plate. Our friends order different items. First the food is incredible good I enjoy the chili renello they awesome they were very cheesy that I really like and rice and bea.s great flavors from both sides. I've been here a few times now. As soon as you step foot in this place, it feels as if you are in Mexico! From the tortilla comal to the left and the seating, to the tin roof! I luv it! I always order their Michelada w/Victoria, one of the best I've had! I then get the guacamole, the pork belly chicharones appetizer and another order of freshly made tortillas. First time here but my lady been here before I wanted menudo she wanted Mexican and why not ‍. The spot is cozy parking on the street but it's free and the staff super friendly. I have lunch at this place once a month since I attend monthly meetings near by. The food is good and fairly priced for the amount you get. The only turn off is the iced tea cost, almost $6 for iced tea is a bit high you might as well get a beer for that price! read more

I've been here a few times in the past and was usually underwhelmed by both the service and the food. However, my Saturday night dinner was worth reviewing because of how much I genuinely enjoyed it. We came to watch the NFL playoffs and have a few drinks and ended up sitting at a high-top table in the back near the bar. The service was great. We were checked on frequently by both our server and the busser, which made a big difference. I ordered the margarita flight, and the drinks were huge and delicious. There were TVs everywhere, so it was perfect for watching the games. The sampler platter was massive, and while the food quality was decent, the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I left extremely pleased and plan on putting Hecho en Mexico back into my regular rotation for drinks and sports. read more

For my nephews high school graduation we went to Hecho en Mexico. I had never been there. There were 7 of us and our food took 1 hour and 20 minutes to be served --way too long. Two of our group had birria tacos and said they were ok. I had ceviche tostada and it was a solid C. My husband had a pozole that was terrible. The broth had no flavor, the meat was dry. My husband had a few spoon fulls, and left the full bowl. He did not want to take it home. When the waiter came by I said, "your chef should try a new recipe" he responded, "you are not the first to make that recommendation." Perhaps if you were not familiar with Mexican food, you might think this is decent, but no! The bill was over $350.00 and so not worth it. Came here to celebrate my kids baptism with my whole family and honestly the service and food was 10/10! We did not wait a long time to get our food and drinks despite it being a little busy and we were a party of 12. They also had a variety of good music playing which made our dinner fun and enjoyable. Hecho en México has been on my hit list for a while. The pics on IG always make me salivate. We decided to stop in after the Dodgers parade. They have a full bar serving up bomb miches and cocktails. The ambiance was Dia de los Muertos and Mexicano all over... from the music to the streamers to the murals of Golden Era Masters on the wall. Ample seating and TVs to view sports, etc. The food was bomb too! My chilaquiles, beans, eggs and potatoes were all super delcious. Minus point for the carne asada... It was tough and chewy like it was recalentado / recycled from last night's leftovers. The crowd was gathering towards the end of our breakfast... Glad we got there when we did or this would be a three or even two star review. Servers were getting slammed and things were slowing down. Finally Decided to try this place. The ambiance was calm on this particular Saturday afternoon. I had overheard that the wait sometimes is about 45 minutes. We got lucky and didn't wait at all to be seated and were seated right away. Our first server was not very pleasant but Alberto was the cherry on top to serve us. Shout out to Alberto for being a graceful and happy server. We ordered the Molcajete Zacatecano for 3 of us and believe me it was more than enough. It comes with 2 sides of rice and beans and didn't need extra. Definitely worth the order. Consists of Asada Chicken, Shrimp, Chorizo, Cheese, and Nopales. Bomb! Came here with my boyfriend for a chill date night--and while the vibe was there, the execution was a little... delayed. We waited 15 minutes just to order drinks, which gave us plenty of time to memorize the menu, re-evaluate our life choices, and get emotionally attached to the chips and salsa (which were, to be fair, pretty solid).
