Everything is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The salads are fantastic as well, especially the Mista and the yellow beet salad with goat cheese. And if you have room for dessert, save it! Their dessert menu is phenomenal. The chocolate cake and lemon lava cake are incredible, and the desserts are made fresh. I also love that the bread is delivered fresh every day from a local bakery. That kind of attention to freshness really makes a difference. It's a small restaurant with about 10 tables, without much parking out front. When you enter, it feels like home. Everyone seems to know each other. Joanne herself greeted us at the door - she was wonderful host throughout the night. Ok let's get to the food because it is excellent. We started with the meatballs with whipped ricotta and the mushroom crostini. Both were incredible. The meatballs (which come 2 per order) were the size of my fist - you could tell they had been marinating all day. Moist, soft, juicy, they were among the best I've ever had. Now the mushroom crostini - unreal. They're cooked with pears, so they have a sweet earthy flavor, and placed on goat cheese on delicious fresh bread. To die for. I'm going to be honest, we were almost full by the time the entrees arrived. Between us we got the chicken parmigiana, which comes with a side of garlic linguine, the fettuccine vingole (white wine and clams) and a simple plate of spaghetti.
