Vinny's was our go-to for a long time, but after they moved locations and some inconsistent pizzas we had fallen away from going there. After many years we gave them another chance, and WOW! Back to being our favorite in town! Appearance-wise it doesn't look the best, and I wasn't too sure how I was going to feel about it when I opened the box. First I would like to say, the crust was the best part, and Vinny's loads their pizzas with the motz, and those are the positives. However, the sauce is a bit sweet, so cutting down on the sugar is a good idea, and the sausage was precooked, which evaporates the flavor immensely. The sausage was flavorless, unfortunately. What this pizza can use is a touch of parmesan cheese and a little less sugar in the sauce. Those are my critiques. Lastly, the best part of my experience was the costumer service. The staff were friendly, kind, and quick. And you can't beat the prices. Vinny's has the lowest prices in the area. The prices alone are the main reason to stop in for a pizza. I placed an order for lunch time today, the misunderstood the written instructions and delivered the wrong thing. When I called them , they agreed to replace it with the one condition " we want the food back " I disbelieve that and I asked her again she said "we want the wings back". My thoughts are this is the kind of business that thinks that the customer wants a free product (which assuming that is a poor customer service), or that they are reselling the product? ... which is worse bc the returned food was coming from a nursing home worker. The staff was friendly. My wife ordered about 13 pizzas for a party. The woman on the phone stated you get a free cheese for every 5 pizzas ordered. When I arrived they told me that deal isnt valid. So I said no problem and gave them a $15 tip I figured $1 per pizza. Im not a complainer but... there were 5 rare pizzas i say rare cuz the cheese was not even melted. It was for a party so they knew well ahead of time they'd be making these pizzas. Seems like they have poor communication between staff and not the best kitchen staff. We wont be back simply because I live across town and can just go anywhere else within 5 miles of my house. You guys should step up the consistency so you dont continue to lose customers. I had been craving a classic calzone so I decided to give Vinny's a try. I ordered a calzone with meatball, antipasto salad, and a side of linguine. First, the calzone was hot and the ingredients fresh. The quality of the cheese stood out first and foremost, and I asked for extra marinara (which I got with no questions asked). The balance of cheese and meatball was perfect and, I must stress again, the ingredients were fresh. Speaking of fresh, the salad was crisp and the meat and cheese were delicious and of top quality. It had a lot of flavor. There wasn't too much filler in the meatballs either. In the grinder it was a good combination of meat cheese and sauce. It was just gooey enough and the right balance of the cheese and sauce melding with the bread. The right balance that makes for a good meatball parm grinder. It wasn't dry. The layered chicken is still my favorite dish and their bread is to die for, their penne a la vodka is great and tortellini carbonara is sooo good when it's hot but sadly they're all just ok when their cold and two of the three are not good microwaved as the sauce separates. read more

Recently we tried the buffalo chicken pizza (which I thought was just alright) and the chicken broccoli alfredo pizza (which I thought was pretty good!) This pizza place moved right down the street from me so I figured to try it, maybe they were having a off day the pizza was terrible all we got was a large cheese with half pepperoni which is easy. The sauce was so thick it was all over the crust so the crust was soggy the pepperoni tasted bad even my 8 yr old tried it and spit it out and mostly all kids love pizza! Ordered take out (45 min wait but that was what they told me) on a Friday night...1 medium Hawaiian pizza...toppings were ok (canned pineapple & deli ham), sauce was ok, but what made the pizza take a dive was the crust/dough. Very doughy & the crust had zero crunch to it. Living in CT, we have some of the best pizza places in the world, so I know we may be on our high horse but the crust is what makes or breaks a pizza. This crust is far from good & needs some work. I hope (since we only ordered 1 pizza) that maybe this was just a fluke. I was a customer for a long time loved the food but had horrible customer service that completely turned me off to the restaurant. I order three items and there was something missing or wrong with the three items. So I called to let them know and was immediately put on hold. I understand you could be talking to a manager or whatever but when a person is complaining about the order the first thing you do is not put them on hold horrible customer service practice an upset customer should be kept happy if they're complaining about the order you do not put them on hold to resolve the issue. I sat on hold to Complaining about a dinner that was getting cold. If I'm ordering food from a restaurant I expect some sort of consistency with the order if things are gonna change rapidly like that or your consistency changes rapidly like that I just rather not shop at that restaurant anymore read more

The pizzas and grinders are fabulous. The takeout area is amply staffed with almost a dozen workers because the business is so good. I personally love the white pizza with spinach. The sit down restaurant is on the other side of the restaurant and you have to go through a separate door. The portions are huge. My wife and I share. Love this place. The delivery staff is great. The time it takes from placing the order and delivery is about 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure you tip the driver. I usually give them about $5.00. They do more than the average waitress so they deserve a bit more. read more

I only grabbed a grinder for lunch and was out the door, but it didn't take long at all, the employees were friendly and the philly steak & cheese was pretty damn good! I've been going here for over 10 years. We always dine in, and we know most of the staff pretty well. The pizza is inexpensive and the dining room looks great. But we almost always order the same pizza and it comes out different everytime. Yes, they get the toppings right and it's quick, but sometimes the pizza slides right out of your hand and it's so thin the grease soaks through it, and it's crispy which I don't prefer.
