I dont know what this Donatos does differently than others but the thin crust pizza dough is gross and doesnt even have a pizza dough flavor. It seems like the thin crust is probably pre rolled out or something and then frozen? Def not freshly tossed pizza dough. For the price of Donato's pizzas I would expect freshly tosses dough. I had veggie with onions, spinach and tomatoes...the whole pizza was a soggy disaster. Disappointed that my "cheat" meal for the week cheated me! Even my husband's pizza dough was gross and he got the thicker crust. Something is up with their dough at this location. Do not recommend. Shorty's in Delaware is a much better option for taste and price. read more

Everytime I ordered from here they made a mistake seriously how do you mess up an order that's not difficult to begin with? It really upset me mostly because for the amount I paid and they would forget part of my order like the sauces I ordered or my favorite I ordered a large and got a medium once and I just have up on this place I go to other ones and it's fine it's just this one seriously I wish it was better because I love their pizza. read more

It was Pizza night at our house tonight! The first week back to work after the Holidays has been rough...but we just had Donato's Pizza and it made tonight feel like a party! We love the efficiency of our Delaware Donato's. We usually choose pick up, rather than deliver. We live close by, and by the time we call, then get in the car to drive over, it is usually ready. Always good pizza. Their buffet is wonderful. I order from there like 2-3 times a week. The bacon, ham, and pepperoni is amazing.

Horrible experience with Donato's in Delaware OHIO. We call to order PIZZA, we then go in to pick up the pizza and they lost our order. My dad requests a 2 liter for the experience and having to wait another 30 minutes. I would have let it go. But then their General Manager comes out and actually gets into a verbal confrontation with my dad, then had told four of his employees to get him out of the store after they had took our money. Never eating there again, I don't know what a general manger does at Donatos, but man it is hard to find good help. I have heard of bad customer service but when your manager is trying to fight the Patrons, just cut it short and go to Papa Johns. I loved you Donato's, but we can do no more business. Good service and good food. This location knows how to get everything off the assembly line and into waiting customers' hands. Our pepperoni zinger always had its zing and it never once tasted like the cinnamon timpano. Their parking lot is way too tiny, but they have the dine-in, carryout, and delivery service to make up for it. read more

Worst pizza I ever had! Ordered "thicker crust", and it was really thin and tasted like cardboard. Ordered onions as one of the toppings, and some of the pieces were about 1.5" square, and not cooked. Don't like eating large pieces of raw onion! This Donatos restaurant is the worst I've been to. I have not had a problem with other locations. The pizza orders are often messed up and over cooked. Staff are eager to make another pizza, but who has time for that. The women's restroom has had a continuous sewer odor for about a year now. Women in my family avoid the restroom as much as possible. The manager has been notified several times and little to no improvement made. I'm a building maintenance tech. This is by far my favorite place in Delaware to get pizza. Staff is super friendly and I've always been happy with my order. I've seen the bad reviews on here and I don't know if they've gotten new staff since those people have been there but I have NEVER been unhappy with my food and the staff have always been friendly and attentive. read more

I've had some seriously bad experiences with this Donatos. Slow service, bad food, long delivery times. They really need to shape up.

Slow service. Usually do not get orders correct or food is burnt. Taste and quality does not justify the high prices.

All other pizza places in this town is crap. Hands down best pie you can buy. Only place for subs too my man.

I had "banned" the previously for a multitude of sins, including but not limited to slow delivery (the Papa Johns next door (literally) delivers in half the time), ALWAYS getting the order wrong, and the food just never seems fresh. Disclaimer- I order from a Donatos in downtown Columbus (at work) and it suffers none of these problems. So tonight we decided to give them another try....and they failed. The cheese from the Mariachi pizza was attached to the box top instead of the pizza; perhaps this is why I tasted zero mariachi spice? And lukewarm to boot. Given the 45 minutes it took them to get it to us (we live ten-fifteen tops) this is not surprising. One fork for two salads was fine, as that my lettuce was so gross I threw it away. Not before discovering the peppers I'd asked to be left off were buried under the cheese. Guess who's been banned again? smh read more

I have been going to Donatos for years, the owner is always nice and willing to take care of everyone. Never have I seen or herd anyone ever attempt to fight a customer. They will do for you what ever you need to be satisfied, I know from experience they have done it for me. You can't satisfy everyone Donatos keep up the good work. I will be back. read more

So, who else had an issue with the mistake of a FREE Large Pizza Coupon? Not uncommon to Donato's competitors, I called in to use this coupon. The gentleman on the phone honored my coupon and said $0.00 was my charge. Again, I receive coupons all the time from restaurants with free food coupons. Once I arrived at the store, I noticed emails posted all over the store saying the coupon was fraudulent. I went to the front desk and said, "I noticed the sign on the front door and I have this coupon, what's the deal." She went and grabbed the manager. The manager stomped out of the kitchen, ran straight to the front door and ripped the email off the door and shoved it in my face! He proceeded to yell at me in a condescending manner that it was a mistake and how much revenue they have lost over it. When is it ok to treat a customer in that manner? This is NOT about free pizza! This is about treating guests and coworkers with respect. He threw his arms up and said "Give it to him!" and stormed back into the kitchen and began yelling at his staff about the issue. The store had around 20 people in it as it was buffet night. I completely understand his frustration and I know many guests wouldn't be as calm as I was about the situation. Had he been polite and first apologized for the mistake, then offered a smaller coupon or even some bread sticks? Isn't that a lot cheaper than a large pizza? I was embarrassed for everyone in that store. Having been in customer service my entire career, I've never known it to be acceptable to yell at a customer who literally did nothing but come into the store with a (then thought valid) coupon.
