I've always wanted to try Potbelly's for a quick sandwich for lunch and finally did it today. The roll was outstanding, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, with great flavor. Everybody has their own order, and I feel it's very rare people step outside of their comfort zone at a place like this, which is okay! I ordered the mac and cheese combo from the kids meal. The mac and cheese was pretty good. The combo came with apple sauce, 1 cookie, milk and of course mac and cheese. They had a whole section of the dining room closed for cleaning which seemed odd in the middle of dinner time. Again it was not busy so there were plenty of open tables but all the booths were in the closed section. This is a decent warm sandwich for the price. Usually the sandwiches are fresh and warm, not sure what happened when they made mine, it felt worse than a subway sandwich.Not dissing subway at all here, but usually potbelly is more premium than subway is what i have felt. They make great food, it's clean, employees are friendly, the food is fresh, it smells good, and it actually feels like someplace I want to eat my lunch! They had live music on the weekday that I stopped in, which added a little something extra for me. The only veggie sandwich on the menu is the mushroom melt, but you can customize anything. While at work today I found myself back in the standard "what should I have for lunch" situation and thought to myself, "Hey, self! Remember there's a Potbelly just down the street?" Oh yeah! It's been quite a while since I've been to a Potbelly, especially since the location closest to my home closed, so down the street I went. The store was clean and I was quickly greeted. My order -- large turkey breast and Swiss on whole grain -- was assembled and placed in the heat box where the toasty goodness is made. When it came out the other side of the heat box my sub was removed by another friendly person and topped with lettuce and other yummies. Total for the sub, small bag of Zapp's BBQ kettle chips, and a 20oz Coke was $12.62. Although that's a little more than I traditionally spend for lunch the receipt had a survey to complete which earns me a free cookie in my next visit and who doesn't like free cookies? read more

OK, so I've been to Potbelly several times before (exclusively airports), and so this was my first time in a proper Potbelly. I have to say, I enjoyed it just as much as my previous times, and probably a bit more. The nice thing about this is that the people working there were really pleasant. My previous Potbelly experiences in airports were your typical grumpy airport employee. So, on to the food - it was really good. I REALLY like their Turkey Club. I feel like it just has the right combo of ingredients, and the quality of their meat is great. Something that I've taken to doing is subbing ranch for mayo - it really kicks it up a notch. Their BBQ chips are also really good; however, I wish they had a wider variety of Zapp's. Review on the meatball sandwich. Landed early evening on Sunday in Columbus, Oh. I haven't eaten all day and i went on my search to have my first Columbus fast meal. I checked on Yelp for anything near me and Potbelly Sandwich Shop (I mistaken the name as Porkbelly Sandwich Shop LOL), I hopped into my car set the GPS and drove around the corner to this sandwich joint. Driving around it is kind of hard to miss as the area isn't very well lit, I parked up front and questioned if the place was closed or not. I walk up and nope, it wasn't close. Looking at the menu deciding what i wanted to order, i went to my comfort zone and decided on the Meatball sandwich. I was kind of confused on how to order as I've never been here before until a young lady came up and asked if i decided what i wanted to order. I placed my order and told her what kind of bread i wanted (the original), as she was preparing my meal she starts talking to her co-worker. As they were talking I heard the lady who was preparing my sandwich if marinara goes on the meatball sandwich and was relieved that it does. As i was left standing there not knowing what to do. I just walk towards the register and realized.... Oh! this is like Subway, then another co-worker grabbed my sandwich and asked if I wanted anything on it, I declined and paid for my meal and left to devour it in my hotel room. Sandwich review: The sandwich itself wasn't the best I've had in fact, I'd prefer Sunbway's meatball sandwich over this.
