This food used to be my favorite. I am now convinced that I will no longer go back. The main reason why it's awful is the food quality. I had noticed the change a few months ago, but still went back to give it another chance. I was disappointed, not only the prices are higher, but they charge more for a smaller portion, and bad quality. It no longer has its fresh flavor, and quality. The chicken smells old, is dried, and constantly burned. The potato, and macaroni salad looks dark in color, and doesn't taste the same. The "salad " is now nothing, but prepackaged old lettuce. Been coming here for a while. The food is pretty good, but I felt that they downsized on there portions, and the prices went up. I always have to ask for double on everything and you have to remind them because they'll forget. It's a lunch truck, so the parking is situated, in a liquor store not the greatest no seating unless you eat in your car. The staff is not too friendly, and it's cash only so inconvenient. Yelp challenge 2016. 113/116 *Two Star Tuesday* So the name "BBQ" is kind of deceiving. I would expect more BBQ if it's in the name. I am also not sure if I came on a off night with all the rave reviews here. I guess I just have a difference of opinion. This is one of those permanent food truck trailers parked in a lot shared with a liqour store and a boba stand right across from AutoZone in Wilmington. Serving up chicken, beef, and shortrib plates with rice and collecting old fashion cold hard cash to fill you up. Since its a stand, there is no where to wash your hands, one portable table to sit at and zero drinks on the menu. I guess you go to the liqour store for your drinks. My beef bowl was very fatty and bathed in a ketchup based teriyaki sauce. Its not the teriyaki I'm used to. My meat seemed to be boiled/steamed like other generic beef bowls places do it. I was not a fan of the super stringy meat, but I was starving. The salad was just lettuce, nothing special. Again disappointed. It would be better if the beef was bolgolgi or a sirloin. The mister ordered a plate with beef, chicken, and short rib. For some reason they did not understand or accommodate extra rice or want to substitute it. His chicken and rib had char marks on it. Between the 3 meats the chicken was the best. The guy inside the trailer was on his phone texting the entire time. For me I'm just not a fan. $17 for the two of us. #912 read more

I checked this truck out about two hours ago. My friend Nina told me about it. The day before we drove by it on our way back from Long Beach. The beef or chicken bowl came with rice, teriyaki sauce, salad and a pickled jalapeno. The #7 came with chicken, short rib, potato salad, macaroni salad, iceberg salad and rice. You can walk over to the liquor store to get a drink. The truck also sells boba drinks. Luckily there were about 4 chairs and a table where we were able to eat and have a view of PCH :) read more

By far one of the best places for teriyaki, I usually order the chicken plate.. the service is fast and the food always fresh. I would highly recommend this establishment. the chicken is just cooked perfect and the sauce is probably what makes the whole plate. the potato and macaroni along with the salad is the perfect companion for the chicken and rice. go get your self a plate!!!!! read more

I've been a customer since it first opened. When the chicken plate was just 3.00. Since then the food has gotten less flavorful and prices have doubled. I was there about 2 weeks ago and order 5 plates. I was given my change and receipt but didn't bother to check it. Once I got home I noticed I was given the incorrect change. I was charged an additional plate which by the way was 7 bux. I would've driven back but gas alone would've been more. Not going back for a cool minute. Just not the same. read more
