It's not a fancy looking location but if you like the marina atmosphere you will like Marina Cafe. The two waitresses working this morning were very welcoming and polite. The breakfast I had (The Basics) was excellent! The coffee was great and plentiful! ...and it did help that there was a cool breeze as I sat in their outdoor patio. I will definately come back! Thank you staff for the great service!

Delicious cafe, with friendly staff, beautiful outside seating. I shared a Montecristo sandwich and CFS and eggs with my brother. My family loved their meals, will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

2nd time here and the service is always great! It's a hidden little hole in the wall which is fun trying to find it, but it's worth it. The fish and chips last time were great! So we wanted to try it again! The tuna melt had good flavor, a little dry but man was the press on it amazing! The Chilaquiles was great, couldn't finish because the side order of pancakes were filling! We will definitely be back! And it's worth to try!

Hands down best clam chowder I've had in a while ,perfect with a sandwich .

My first time to this place, which to be honest it was their 11th anniversary and the place was packed and had live music, so not an ideal time to review a restaurant but glad I came! Having 2 years' experience as a waiter, I know what goes on and believe me, the owner Sherry and her team were swamped but kept everything flowing which was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful; the food was great and their Bloody Mary's were perfect! The good flow of a restaurant is the leader, and Sherry was right in there coordinating and leading the team. This place has great ambiance, wonderful people and great food. OMG! even as I write this, now Sherry is in the kitchen cooking! Unbelievable but at the same time, that's what makes a restaurant great! I will definitely be back and bring my mom! (that should tell you something). Thank you Marina Cafe!!!

The Road to Marina Cafe is an adventure in itself. Filled with great views of The Ports, Bridges, & Extra Hard-Working Side of the South Bay. Before arriving, I called inquiring about The Famous Brunch Buffet on the 2nd Sunday of each Month. Vanessa, pleasantly answering over the phone, "Unfortunately after Covid The Buffet has not been back." Fortunately Marina Cafe only has dedicated personnel as Vanessa then recited Key Menu Items with great, mouth-watering description. I was sold! Risky being sold, with my 73 y.o. grandfather in tow (As he's like Chef Ramsey). Nonetheless it was a Win all around. Great Food, A View of the beautiful Marina, and the Beautiful Ladies making everything flow smoothly. Our Order: * Coffee * Pancakes * Belgian Waffle * Breakfast Burrito * Signature Omelette * Country Fried Steak A Special Thanks to Vanessa & Sheri! Vanessa answered my phone call. Then later, discovered she was our Server going above & beyond. Sheri welcomed us like Family as soon we walked in. Enjoying our presence as she walked us to our table and staying another few minutes after to get to know us. I enjoyed the food so much that the memory of taking a picture slipped away. But what better than a picture of the 100% Happy-Customers who 100% recommend Marina Cafe.

Really cool location tucked away in a marina even a Saturday afternoon we were able to park easily and get seated quickly. Views of the water and boats and port cranes in the distance. Staff is friendly, and the margarita special was a deal. Had Bloody Mary nice and spicy with a bacon celery olive garnish. Ordered the soup flight and the hot mess to try lunch and breakfast and both were delicious. Who has seen a soup flight? Menudo, Pozole and Potato Chowder. It was all so good but the Pozole was my favorite. The hot mess biscuit is melt in your mouth good and the sausage and potatoes and egg on top with all that gravy I had to take about half home it was so rich. The gravy is the bomb.

Turkey burgers and fries. Fresh and yummy.

A hidden gem! Food, service & pricing is stellar. I had the creamiest, tastiest clam chowder I have ever had. Clams tasted fresh, not gummy. The turkey burger and fries were fresh and yummy. So amazed at the prices - very economical. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu which was pretty typical American cafe fare. Must ask for a key to use the bathroom which has a few stalls and was very clean. It's a weird maze to get there but you'll feel at home once you arrive. The owner came out to speak with us and she's an absolute peach!

If you're looking for a relaxing spot with stunning marina views, delicious food, and genuinely friendly service, Marina Cafe at 720 Peninsula Rd in Wilmington, CA is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away at the Yacht Haven Marina, this charming cafe serves up breakfast and lunch daily from 8 AM to 2 PM, and it's quickly become one of my favorite hidden spots in the area. The beautiful views are the first thing that hits you. Whether you're seated inside or outside, you're surrounded by sparkling water, gently bobbing boats, and that peaceful harbor atmosphere. It's the perfect backdrop for a leisurely morning meal or a casual lunch with friends--especially on a sunny Southern California day. The waterfront setting makes everything feel special without being pretentious. The food is amazing--fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I tried the [signature dishes like their clam chowder or fish and chips], and every bite was spot-on. From fluffy pancakes and hearty breakfast classics to satisfying lunch options, the menu delivers consistent quality that keeps you coming back. Everything tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart is the friendly staff. The team here is warm, welcoming, and efficient--they make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Service is quick and attentive, with smiles all around. It's that kind of genuine hospitality that turns a good meal into a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through the Wilmington area, Marina Cafe is worth the trip. Great food, beautiful views, and fantastic people--highly recommend!

Great service. Genuine, casual, helpful staff. Very clean. Ocean view of docks. Still has classic charming look. Fresh homemade taste in all their dishes. Come as you are type energy.

Absolutely love this place! It's a hidden gem in our city. If you're passing by, STOP BY! We stopped by for brunch with the family and per usual, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the weather was perfect for sitting outdoors and our server Jessica was awesome!

There have been multiple occasions where I come in order and he is very rude. But today was the last straw for me. I waited a few minutes to see if anyone would come out and nobody did. It was a ghost town until 15 minutes later after I kept asking hello out loud and squeaking my shoes to see if I could summon anyone that he finally came out and I told him hello. I have a DoorDash order and he said name? Ticket.? nothing?? and started walking off and I told them my name and he just got my drink and I told him can. I at least get my straw and threw it at me. The whole set up makes this place so inviting but also entirely cozy feel it's fantastic! I had an absolutely great experience on a Saturday! It was so good that I came back the very next day on Sunday to get the same thing. Unfortunately, I couldn't even consume my order the second day. I ordered the green machine smoothie which was absolutely phenomenal the first day the second day it was an entirely different color and crazy sour taste. The front end person making my drink told me that this was due to the differing amounts of spinach each person makes it with. The crazy thing was this second smoothie wasn't green like the first day so how does less spinach make it sour?? Honestly it seemed like the milk went bad and they didn't want to say anything. They didn't remake my drink and seemed offended when I asked clarification on why it was an entirely different color and taste. (Included in pictures) Those things aside the chocolate donut was phenomenal and I did really love my experience on Saturday. Sunday just left such a horrible taste (literally) in my mouth that I wouldn't be back. *Edited to show "green machine" not just "green smoothie" as previously stated.

Might well be the coolest *vibe* coffee shop in Long Beach. Funny enough, every time I happened to be in the immediate area, it just happened to be during a Sunday morning "listening session", so I had thought that meant they only play interesting records from their collection on Sunday morning, which is, as it turns out, entirely inaccurate: they are *always* playing records from their large collection of interesting records, just that most Sunday mornings, they do a specially-curated "listening session" where they briefly talk about their selections, then bring up the volume a little and ask people to be quieter, to enjoy the music. Which is pretty neat! I should really go to those more often, instead of just by accident each time. Unusually, they really focus entirely on class drinks, they don't have any zany personalized fancy lattes on their core menu, which I'm totally fine with - their espresso is entirely worth drinking on their own. I'm also very happy with their pastry selection, which they get from Colossus - their brownies are very good, *very* affordable, and go spectacularly with espresso, so that's a draw in and of itself. The only thing I couldn't get quite as much behind - I was so excited when they announced a couple months ago that they'd just started a new brunch menu, to include breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos are bomb, something restaurants in California haven't really seemed to have caught onto, so I went there immediately to try them. Anyway, they're pretty tasty, but not *extraordinary*, and for $9, they aren't particularly large. It's also not a very large space, either so it's a lot easier finding a comfortable seat to quickly drink a coffee with a bit of brownie, than it was that time, finding a comfortable spot to eat a proper meal. Given I was eating a proper meal, though, I did also try their green iced tea to go with it, which I can confirm is also delicious, super refreshing, and was at the time, a very reasonable $3.50. Went great with the tacos, for sure, though I don't think I'd go back for either of them. I would definitely stop by for coffee and a brownie any time I was in the area, though, and I really *should* remember to intentionally make it to more of their Sunday morning sessions.
