Went in to this location based on experience with the location in Rialto. Needed three bikes tuned up and one needed to be rebuilt. Sergio worked on all three bikes, and was awesome. Rebuilt bike was cleaned up nicely, and as close to a new bike as possible. Sergio answered all my questions and met my expectations. Sales staff outside of the service area were average in terms of making sure we were satisfied. Price paid for work done was less than expected. The location had all components needed in stock. Brought my beach cruiser in an hour before closing on a Saturday to buy a longer axle so I could attach my son's kid trailer for our family beach trip the next day. I fully expected to take the axle home and tinker away on it myself given the short notice of needing service. But the guys brought it back, swapped the axle, and gave my cruiser a tune up right on the spot! Best $30 I've spent in a while : ) Top notch bike shop! read more

I found this shop on Yelp while looking for a bike repair shop that also had a decent in-store selection, and went in for the first time today with a wheel to be looked at. The wheel took no time at all, so I inquired about a commuter bike for work and grocery shopping. This would be maybe the third bike I had ever purchased or owned in my life so I am very much a Beginner. The service was excellent and the shop had a friendly and laid back vibe. I was able to test ride three bikes with a loaner helmet for as long as I liked on a nice Saturday afternoon. Settled on one that was the most comfortable and easy to ride (took it around a second time even) and went with one slightly different but same price (different color with a step-through). I also opted for the layaway option to be more financially responsible (minimum $50 deposit but they'll hold it for up to 3 months). The bike also comes with lifetime service in the shop for free, much like my free oil changes which I look forward to needing less often. I highly recommend this shop if you're a first-time buyer like I am and not sure what you like/want/need yet and have to physically be on a bike before feeling comfortable purchasing. read more

I came into the shop with my tire because I didn't know my inner tube size and the worker sold me three iner tube that were not the right size . I even asked him to verify it and he said yes .. Very disappointed they would take advantage of someone like that . Very happy with the service at Don's Bicycle Shop in Redlands. Diagnosed my "rattling" noise, measured my chain (stretched) and had a tuneup complete with a cleaning by one of the best mechanics around , my friend Jason. You can sometimes follow his adventures wrenching for the Shimano Race Team, so he is good! I love both bike shops in Redlands but this one is close to Bike Coach (the fitness/spin studio in the old Radio Shack), my grocery, pharmacy, Vasa Yoga (so good), dry cleaners, and ice cream at the old Thrifty's - RiteAid. read more

I shipped my bike via FedEx and the carbon fiber frame and paint was significantly damaged. My local bike shop in Las Vegas suggested a shop in CA they work with to repair carbon frames and paint, they wanted $1,200. I got 4 more quotes online and the best quote was from Don's Bicycles in Redlands CA. I dealt with Paul via email, he was very helpful and professional. Based on the positive re Iowa on Yelp I shipped my bike to him. There was more damage than Paul could see from the many pictures I sent but he held the same bid he gave me via email. I got the bike back and was extremely impressed with the quality of the work, the paint job in particular was a perfect match. I told my local shop McGhies Bikes in Las Vegas they should recommend and use Dons Bikes and Paul. I would use them again without hesitation as I found them to be professional, with the utmost integrity of character and quality of work for a competitive price (they were less than 1/2 the cost of my shops quote). Decided to give Don's a try after hearing good things from fellow firefighters. Needed some work done on my road bike, including adding aero bars due to the fact that I mostly do triathlons. Travis was awesome. Very patient with me, very knowledgeable, didn't try to sell me a anything I didn't need, asked me questions and listened to my answers. After the bike was finished he then spent another 30-45 minutes putting it on a trainer and making sure everything was adjusted to where I needed it. Best service I've had at any bike shop I've visited, prices were great too. Well worth the hour drive from the high desert. Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future. I have always had a pleasant experience at Don's Bicycles. I have purchased three bikes in Redlands and have been happy with the price and customer service. My most recent bike, a Juiced electric bicycle kept busting spokes on the rear motor hub. The Juiced company was contacted directly (by me) and the solution did not seem reasonable. I contacted one of the owners of Don's and they communicated with the company on my behalf, got a full set of replacement spokes, and rebuilt the back rim- making things right. The new spokes have held so far. The customer service, quality, and understanding that cycling is a passion is what makes Don's great and it is one of the last businesses that will do the right thing for the customer. WOW! I am thoroughly impressed with their service! I bought a beach cruiser from them a few weeks ago and today I was on my way home from school when the chain came off. not just the back cog, but the front came off too. I gave it the old college try and attempted to put it back on myself, but the chain guard was in the way. I was stuck at my apartment with no way to fix it and no way to get to the shop. It was a long shot but i called to see if they could send someone out and BAM! In less than 20 minutes a mechanic was at my place with a tool bag and not only did he put the chain back on, he tightened the back wheel up so that the chain was tighter and it won't happen again. I would recommend this shop to anyone who lives in town and needs good service on their bicycle. read more

Bought a bike here a few months back. No problems there. Brought it back to about a month later to have the braes adjusted. Walked my bike to the grocery store and locked it up. Upon leaving and getting on my bike I realized the brake pad was almost completely unscrewed and about to fall off. At that point the shop was closed and I had no front brake all the way back tot Loma Linda. Not cool. When I made it back to the store a few weeks later to have them adjust my brakes which I myself repaired and was some reason met with the most hostile response from Mike the mechanic. Immediately became aggressive and lecturing. I am not sure what I could have said, but if you are looking for a shop where they apparently aren't very careful, you are made to feel dumb and are treated like sh*t, then look no further. Not another dime at this place! read more
