White's Bike is Mo Val's local bike shop. I never got the impression that anyone was racist. Mrs White was extremely helpful each time I visited their shop. Her talents are in customer service, attentiveness, and being very knowledgeable about their bikes. I initially felt the husband was a little grumpy, but I realized he is just a no nonsense type of person who is honest, hard working, and takes pride in what he does. They were both honest and sincere people. I didn't feel they were just trying to sell me something. Mrs White works the front (which makes sense) she's a people person, and Mr. White does the repairs and gives you honest feedback. They each have their talents and use them to perfection. I could have purchased my bike from another bike shop, but I felt it was essential to support our local bike shop especially during these times. My bike was competitively priced and Mr. White did exactly what he said he would do to have my bike ready for pick up. I would definitely purchase another bike from them. My husband went to this bike shop today. The owner was very unwelcoming and did not want to take the time to do the work. He claimed he was four weeks out and could not work on his bike. He wasn't doing much was his comment he offered to spray some lubricant in the shifters to fix a derailer issue. However, my husband declined service and went to 951 where the service was night and day. 951 was very welcoming and addressed the problem right away. Not sure what's up with these people, but I've seen similar reviews. very different from the experience we had a few years ago. Will not ever go back. We will be using 951 moving forward. read more

Negative star not even worth the one. Very unwelcoming, rude, disrespectful, and racist behavior towards me and my child. For starters he told me why did I purchase a Nishiki bike for my child and why I didn't just go to Walmart to get him one, then he continues to tell me that to put the chain on my son bike was a 3-4 hour job and was going to be $75-150 to repair. Then he walks away and his wife comes out to say they don't have the time to fix his hanging chain. Went right over to 951 Bikes and service was amazing. I was there today, 8/28/24; no one greeted me at all or we will be right with you. My son brought in the bike we were there to get it fixed with a flat tire... an elderly man came straight from the back walked by me straight to the front door to open it and said "WE DON'T TOUCH ELECTRICAL BIKES HERE", he named another bike shop that might help... all this while holding the door so I can leave.. I then asked not even for a flat tire, he said NO! He was so rude and that behavior was so uncalled for, this was my first time there and they treat me like this, oh hell no!!! I am so upset, he did not have to do that... to top it off as I was exiting the shop he was closing the door behind me to where I couldn't leave fast enough for him, to where the door was hitting the back tire of the bike. I don't know if something happened with these types of bikes before but that is no reason for him to behave that way... I will never go back there and will not recommend this shop to anyone... Whatever was going on he took it out on me, the customer, put up a sign do something, DO NOT SERVICE ELECTRICAL BIKES, something but don't treat people like that. So, a customer was in front of me and he was being helped by an elderly woman and she was not recommending electrical scooters that kids use to go to school, so what does that tell you... I really wanted the gears on my bike fixed but I don't know much about bikes so I go to this place hoping they would help. The man was outside of the front door sitting there I guess "greeting" in the grumpiest way possible and doesn't acknowledge he even works there and the wife was inside. She was on the phone and when she finally greeted me it was pretty much just explaining how unless it's a flat or brakes they prob won't be able to help. So she gets her husband to walk to my truck to see the bike and asked me what's wrong with it. This is my point I don't know but the gears were slipping and he rudely tells me to bring it down and turns it around to check and says we'll you shouldn't ride in this gear and to try it now and I rode it and tried explaining what happens when I'm riding because it happens in hills and he was rude as hell and yelled that he can't know unless I show him and how people can't explain anything to him but he cuts you off before you can. So I told him just forget it and he was perfectly fine with a customer just walking away. I don't know what their problem was but I went during covid and they haven't changed. This place has been here for years. My husband and I purchased our bikes here today. The lady who helped us was very sweet and attentive to our needs. Due to Covid the doors were locked and they do not allow traffic in and out the store. She was sweet enough to let us in to take a look at the bikes. I did see the old man that people were complaining about, but I think that is just a part of his personality, he doesn't mean to be "grumpy". Either way, the lady was very helpful and we are happy with our purchases. UPDATE** We purchased a trailer here for our daughter to ride in and the tire went flat while riding. As soon as I got there didn't even get a chance to walk in the guy at the door was smoking a cigarette and was rude as can be told me they weren't doing repairs and ask me to put on a mask again while he was smoking nasty ass cigarette . I like supporting local mom and pap shops! I have had nothing but great conversation and service. I picked up a fixie in November of 2013 as gift abd they worked with me regarding the size frame. I decided to put a road bike on layaway and they were nothing but understanding with payments. I picked up my road bike this month; January 2014 and I'm pleased. I have had several b compliments. I'm not sure what the negative reviews on the owners attitudes are about, but Mrs. White was very helpful and nothing but nice, not with just me but the other costumers that were in their shop as well. After calling 10+ bike shops in my area I had zero luck finding any bikes, in fact one person at a shop in Riverside actually told me "good luck" on finding a bike. I called White's and they had both Haro kids bikes I was looking for! Whites bikes saved Christmas. I purchased a moderately priced bike from White's several years ago after the old man assured me it was the right size. A year later I took it in for a tune up and the same old man told me the bike was too small for someone of my height. I told him and the lady working there, he was the one that originally told me it was the right size for a person of my height and if it was too small he should have told me before I bought it. I took my bike and left. The old man had a bad attitude. I eventually sold the bike and went to another bike shop in Rialto and after being sized correctly and treated like a valued customer, I purchased a bike from them. read more

Awesome service from the 2 owners of this bike shop. Each time i go down i get fair quotes and prices on bike parts that i do end up buying from them. They were busy today but were kind enough to help me out with a repair. The final price on the repair was much less then i was quoted and that was good news to hear. I bought a specialized bike that needed some HUGE tlc. I took it to whites and they worked wonders on it. I've gone more than once to get service and work on my bike and every time I got nothing but the best service. I got some shimano rims for a steal, new wiring, re taped my bars, the works and they gave me a amazing deal. They also gave me some great advice on cycling that a novice like me most certainly needed. They weren't reluctant to give me tips and to help me out. They are very knowledgable and humble as well. They also polished and cleaned up my bike, they treat everything they do as if it's for themselves and I love that. They showed us a few bikes that he was interested in and went over the pros and cons of each.
