I was referred to Dons through Statefarm for my recent accident, I got rear ended a few weeks ago on my back right side. I dropped off my car on Monday with a gentleman whose name I cannot recall but wore glasses. He was very professional in explaining their process for fixing my bumper and even went outside with us to inspect it and got under the car to check out what was going on. I felt from this interaction alone that we would be in good hands. I was initially told the car would be ready in 5 days, but the next day on Tuesday I got a voicemail saying they got the parts in and would most likely be ready for pickup on Wednesday. Sure enough, on Wednesday my car is ready for pick up. My girlfriend and I went to the shop to pick up my car and we were instantly blown away while we were walking to the front door with how the car looked. The bumper looked brand new AND they cleaned the entire car. It looked like they detailed it. The car was washed, the rims and tires were cleaned, and the inside was vacuumed. Honestly it hasn't looked this clean since I got the car in 2021. They had the feet mat on the driver side which I felt really respected by their technicians. It felt like they really cared about the vehicle of their customer and did so much more than I felt they needed to do but honestly I'm for sure coming back here in the future. It shows the dedication of their workers in how they cleaned the inside and out of the car just for a bumper repair. My girlfriend and I both could not get over how nice the car looked at pickup. We had even accidentally left my girlfriends ring and necklace in the driver side cubbies which we were nervous about having left in the car but we saw that the cubbie was vacuumed, cleaned, and the jewelry was left in their same spots. After a month of waiting for the insurance companies to wrangle it out I got tired of waiting around with my poor Rogue looking less than happy. On 3/20/20, I accidentally drove my Altima over and into a parking lot stump / island which had a land mark concrete post. The damage required a near 9,000 dollar repair. This place has had a great reputation in the area for years. Up until recently I was lucky enough to never need their services. Then I got hit by someone running a red light. They smashed the front end of my truck. I was worried that the damage was too bad, and it just wasn't going to be the same again. Ok, you all need to know, I have a father who is a danger to the road. We've had a lot of cars and, truth be told, he has caused body damage to almost all of them. So I feel like I've had more experience than most when it comes to body shops. Ok. FIRST - they do restoration. My first car was a 1957 Ford Fairlane and my dad has a Ford Truck from the 40s. Don repainted and reinteriored both...fantastic work. SECOND - they, of course, repair damage. I've been in 3 minor collisions (only 1 was my fault btw) and their work is always excellent (otherwise, my family would stop bringing them the windfall of business we do) They are professional and always get the job done in a timely fashion. Dealing with the aftermath of a car accident regardless if it's major or minor, is a pain. My mom's car was sideswiped from bumper to bumper and we needed it repaired quickly and done well. We contacted our insurance provider, State Farm, to report the incident and they started a claim for us and asked us to select a body shop from a list of their preferred shops to take the car to. We selected Dons Body Shop due to its great reputation and reviews. Although there are closer shops to our home (and ones the look fancier), we wanted it done right at a trust worthy place. This is our first time at Dons, but the reviews indicated it's a place we should try out. When we arrived, Damien already had our claim information ready from State Farm. He got our car processed and we were out the door in only a few minutes. My mom is scared to deal with anything car related, but Damien was great. He patiently explained the repair process and even outlined what next steps State Farm would take so we knew what to expect. I then took my mom to pick up a rental at the nearby Hertz. The rental guy asked where we took the car to get repaired. We said Dons and his immediate reaction was to say, "Thats a great body shop. They're color matching is incredible." He then went on for a couple of minutes about Dons. That put more piece of mind we went to the right place. Two days short of the expedited repair date, we got a call from Damien. He said the car was ready for pick up. We took the rental directly to Dons and left it there. He said to save ourselves the trouble, Hertz would pick it up from them. The car looked amazing. Like brand new amazing. My mom was and still is thrilled. It's been about a week now and she says the repairs were done thoroughly with no rattles at all. My car got hit while it was parked on the street overnight and the person didn't leave a note. I did my detective search and found a piece of plastic that fell of their car and luckily found them!
