Longtime customer - Read this! Where do I even start? Things have changed here and not for the better. On top of the place being completely empty, something that never happened before, the layout, people and overall vibe of the place has gotten a makeover. Almost feels like the place got sold or the owner is no longer around. The Jose you read about in most of the comments has been replaced... the "New Jose" is NOTHING like what you are reading below. You have been warned! I (unfortunately) have had the pleasure of doing business with this body shop for many years. My parents, siblings, extended family, friends and even my neighbors were constantly being reminded by us how good this place was. How the core value was to treat people with a sense of appreciation. Where yea, you were here for a service you were going to pay.... But a little friendliness never hurt. Overall dozens of referrals which yield thousands and thousands of dollars in business were sent over. That all ended today. The staff that had kept this place running has all been dismissed. The attitude of self-entitlement the new "Jose" has is going to make this place go upside down. There is a reason he is listed below so many times and why he should be nowhere on site. Everything from demeaner to attitude is way off for someone that is trying to build a long-time relationship with the client. A way a person treats his employees tell you a lot about a person. Standing at the door yelling out names through the shop is no way to treat people, not even animals are treated that way. Stuffing your face with a snickers bar before asking you if you want a real price quote or an "estimate", and on top of that talking bad about previous staff. Now add all of those together. That's what "new Jose" is. Pricing may seem fair, I went to two other body shops and got remarkably similar pricing for the same work. Unfortunately for Duran's (and its owner) the fact that I must talk to that guy again has made me take my business elsewhere. To sum it up, there are a lot of incredibly good body shops in a city like Los Angeles (do some research, I'm not here to recommend or push any). As long as "Jose" (and maybe the new management) is around.... Me and my family (as well as everyone I can recommend) will not be going back to this place. read more

Someone side swiped my car in an employee parking lot. I took it to Durans they gave me an estimate and took my car right in. I had it back within a week. It looks great. I don't know how they matched the paint so well, but it looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend. read more

I came in because the bottom part of my car was damaged while driving and needed some light repairs. Jose the manager took great care of me and was super nice. Him and his staff made me feel like a priority and were so welcoming. While I waited in the lobby they offered me something to drink and that was really thoughtful and nice. I been coming here for years now and I had to update my review every time I would go there I would always talk to the guy name Jose both of the Jose they were very kind and helpful and good communication skills . This time around I was very disappointed to find out that Jose wasn't there anymore so some guy name Richard help me with my vehicle I have to say this guy was so rude and very disrespectful. Took my car in because they had hit my car and it needed to be fixed the paint had came off and a few scratches from that . So they had called me to pick up my truck and when I got there I was inspecting it and I notice something off and seems like they had took off the part from the right side of truck it was the panel and I guess they tried glueing it back and I told them about it and they told me I brought it in like that which the funny thing is before you take in your car for them to fix it one of their employees has to do a walk around the vehicle and inspect it and take photos of the vehicle so they're able to return it to the customer just how it was left and never once was that mentioned about the panel on the left side being off . So when I told them they said it was there and I know my vehicle and that was never like that when I ask them to see the photos they ignored me . And I told them that they need to fix it . They said okay come back the next day they just added glue to one side and it came off and they put glue on one corner leaving the middle side of the panel to be pretty much floating .And the man Richard proceeded to tell me that he only put glue on the corner because that's all that it needed. I can't believe it that is the true definition of a Mickey Mouse job and that guy Richard proceeded to tell me that my car is old and that if i want that fix it's going to cost me . To put glue on both sides even on the middle basically (When I never had that) also said that his employees don't work for free! So I told him let me speak to your manager and he then went to tell the owner and the owner said to fix it came back 2 days after and they fixed it but I will not be coming here anymore due to how unprofessional that man Richard was and they have no integrity in their work . And also felt like because I am a woman he felt the need that he can talk down to me which is insane and not right so I am proud to say that I will not be coming here anymore . read more

WHOA Cowboy!!! What just happened here? I've been going here for a long time. Saul and Lorena days. Called and asked for José, the old estimator, and found out he's no longer there. Actually no one is there anymore. The older gentleman (Estimator) or the receptionist. Called Duran's like always and let Lorena know we had a problem with a window door latch on my dads truck. She politely took my info. and just like always, they found the part. I arranged with the "NEW" Jose a time for the following morning to come out and have the part installed. Quote.... "Yeah, come down... $60 plus tax. I won't even charge you to install the part because it's only 2 screws and it won't even take more than 5 minutes to install." I sent my husband the following day but my husband calls to tell me the "New" José invoiced a $10 install. fee. I called José and reminded him of the conversation we had the night before and he replied, "I'll refund the $10 and I don't want you ever to come back here again!" Be careful. Quotes change overnight. Bring extra money just in case... He walked outside where my husband was standing and said, "I refunded your money because your wife called and complained about $10 install. (Mind you my husband had no problem paying it). The "New" José then replied, "Don't' come back, we don't want your business!" All I did was remind him of our conversation from the night before. We were so embarrassed. Rude service. Hopefully the "New" José calms down a little. His attitude can hurt the business. read more

I wish I could give more stars. We get in an accident on the freeway. AAA calls this place 10 minutes before closing and they stay open for us about an hour later to help us with everything. It's my cousin and I who were in the accident, and we are from Northern California. Our phones were dead and they let us sit and wait to charge our phones up and made sure we had a ride to somewhere safe. I would 100% recommend them to anyone. read more

This was my second accident. I took it to Duran's Body Shop thinking I get a great service. I got the worst ever. You think the manager Jose would care but he didn't. All he wanted was to collect the check from the insurance. I'm so glad I getting a second look in the work they did. I'm ready to sue their asses!!! Two weeks for a bumper that was only had nearly had been dislocated really!! I'm glad I am going to show them. Horrible at giving estimates of when car will be done. Also bad at communicating the new deadline, was told THREE times at the very last minute (i.e. as I was trying to return the rental when they call to tell me my car is still not done). Didn't keep their word on the THIRD estimated date of delivery. Only good thing was that they paid 100% of my rental and the car was returned clean and fixed. I only had a passenger door to be fixed and this took over a month. Definitely will not return nor do I recommend the shop to anyone, unless you don't care how long they take to fix your car, then go ahead. But if you're like me, who needs their car to get to work (and I work at 3 different jobs) then I do not recommend this place. They need to improve on their estimating skills. read more
