We just had Don's Moving move us locally in Albany. They were fantastic! From our first consideration with Jamie giving an estimate till we super tipped (They earned it.) the three guys, Frank, Cheese and Matt, we were very impressed. Everyone was extremely friendly, courteous and kind, making the move so much less stress and easier. They each had skills that did not disappoint. Frank the crew leader, walked us through the billing, insurance, and timing, telling us when they were taking a break and what we could expect each step of the way. Cheese was very adept at disassembling and reassembling furniture and appliances and didn't leave our new home till we were set up to eat and sleep there. Matt had terrific spatial relations recognizing our 6 foot couch was too long to even go diagonal into the living room and suggested going around to the back door for a clearer, more risk free path. He also offered to help me when I went down to the floor to pick up Cheerios that fell out of our couch from our granddaughter. Before they left, I told them "I don't know how we could have done it without you guys." In fact, I said, "I know we couldn't have done it without you". Moving is one of the most emotional and stressful times in a person's life. Don's Moving was a very pleasant experience. I was having trouble finding anyone that was available to move me from my 2 bedroom rental to my new home which is about 1 hour away. I was referred to Don's Moving and from the start they were professional, quick to respond and provided a detailed and professional estimate. The contract was signed and my crew was set to arrive between 830am and 930am. At 830am sharp the Don's Moving truck arrived. I met Frank, Matt and Cheese. BTW - How can you not stop and smile at someone named Cheese?!?! We did a walkthrough to start the day and then the flurry of activity began. Frank, Matt and Cheese were incredibly helpful, polite and efficient. Once we arrived at the new house, they unloaded the truck and checked in with me at every step to make sure they placed items exactly where I wanted them. They really did a great job and they were within the original estimate and timeframe. We had scheduled a move with Don's for next week and the buyers pulled a fast one by telling us on Monday that they needed to close Friday to lock in their interest rate (4 days notice). I called Don's and explained the situation and they were so accommodating by scheduling us for Friday first thing. Frank Capone, Tony and Joe King. After the paperwork, they just started going like ants on an ant hill. They made short work of the house. Then we went to the storage unit to store the contents, it was a 95 degree day and the unit was on the second floor, the "freight elevator" was the smallest I've ever seen, without even a break for lunch, they got it done. Frank, Matt, and Cheese were extremely helpful and caring during my move. I had a large armwoir that was in my old condo that was larger than my door frame and there was limited amount of space, between my wall and closet. They were so kind to help me get my door unscrewed to move it out as there would have been no other way of getting it out if the door stayed screwed on. They all showed outstanding caution to detail when moving the large furniture piece out to put into their truck. Afterward they helped me get the door screwed back on, before I directed them to my new condo location. When they got my furniture set up in my new condo, they offered great suggestions on how to make the furniture align perfectly in each of my rooms. Scott, Cheese, and Juaywan moved a house-worth of big, heavy furniture from our house in NY to our house in MA and they did an oustanding job. They were so meticulous and mindful of every step they took, not once hitting the walls, floor, etc. The furniture and house did NOT suffer any damage during the move because of their exemplary professionalism. In addition, they were incredibly friendly and obviously quite intelligent. They knew exactly how to do their job. I can't say enough about how happy I was with our move in Saratoga yesterday. Our crew of Frank, Cheese, and Matt started the morning out by introducing themselves and shaking our hands, something I've never had happen before. We used Don's to move us from our second story apartment into our house. Staff showed up during the given time frame, introduced themselves to us and got straight to work. Frank, Cheese, Matt, and Christian were great to work with and were able to get us moved out and into the house in about an hour less than anticipated. The most recent time happened to be the day after a big snow storm (2/14), and Frank and Tony ended up not only having to navigate stairs and ramps with their carts full of boxes, but the mounds of snow on the ground.
