The technician showed up on time, and even gave a heads up call 15 minutes before he arrived. The techinican was CJ. I explained the multiple things going wrong with the heat pump and emergency heat, what worked sometimes, and what didn't work, and how things were intermittent. CJ was very attentive and listened carefully. He went to work and explained things to me as he went through his troubleshooting. It turns out there were two things wrong inside: 1) a sequencer for the emergency heat coils was malfunctioning partially sometimes and not working at all other times 2) a safety switch that is triggered when backflow occurs had stopped working, which turned the heat pump off. Outside, the unit was low on freon so he pumped in 4.5 pounds, along with a dye so that when he comes by in two weeks he can use a light to see where the leak(s) may be. Our heating works like it is supposed to now, and I am confident everything will continue to work, and CJ will come back it two weeks and wrap things up. CJ knows his stuff and is an expert in his trade.

Tanner was very courteous, professional, and efficient in determining the cause of our problem. As recommended and guided by Tanner, this included phone communication with the ChargePoint company, the manufacturer of our charger. On the phone, Tanner skillfully followed all the troubleshooting steps instructed by the company's technical representative. This would have been a very confusing, tedious procedure if we had to do it ourselves! This troubleshooting process clearly resolved that the charger had malfunctioned and would need to be replaced by ChargePoint. In both cases we were very satisfied with their quotes. They completed the jobs quickly and even offered to come back later to add ducting on a room that needed to be finished. We wanted to add heat to the second floor, which had no ducts going it. Their estimator helped walk us through our options, including ways we could add the ducting while keeping it hidden. The communication of their customer service team is friendly and helpful, and they were good about reminding us of upcoming work. Both projects required an electrician, who they contracted with and took care of. Their follow-up has been excellent. And most important, the heating system works as designed. We are very happy and would recommend Marshall's to anybody.
