Donut Bakery delivers a quality product and customer experience. I called this morning to ask if they take Apple Pay, and the owner answered the phone. She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. When I arrived, a young lady, perhaps a teenager, took my order and quickly boxed up my two dozen donuts. Again, she was hospitable and patient. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience. I'm talking to you Buttermilk Drop and Adrian's Bakery. Regarding ambience, it's seen better days, and it's in a sketchy part of town. Very friendly service and amazingly delicious donuts that can be addictive. These are perhaps the most soft, fresh and huge glazed donuts I've had apart from Baker's Dozen. I have to say, these do not get hard after hours of sitting like some places. They actually remain super soft. I'm sooooo, glad they're located in the East, far away from me lol. I found this spot seeing an ad on Facebook talking about their apple fritters. How delicious they were and let me tell you they did not lie. The apple fritter is massive and it's delicious with chunks of apple. Spread throughout evenly. As far as the service, you can't go wrong. I called this spot up on a Saturday and he closed in 10 minutes so I was letting it go but the owner called me back and said if you can get here within 10 minutes you can still get apple fritter cuz that's what we have left. So happy ending! I was able to arrive in time and I purchased two apple fritters and she end up throwing in a cinnamon roll for free which was also delicious. The ambience from what I remember because I was in and out it was a bakery. It had a display glass and it was straight. It's in the neighborhood in the East but definitely worth the trip especially if you love Alberta's I'll definitely go back to try the other donuts read more

These Donuts are awesome, my wife has been getting them for me since I was in college. The place is always packed and alive. I love what it does for the neighborhood. The donuts are always fresh I've never had a bad batch from here and on top of that she gives you a sample one to eat with your order. They are so soft, moist & sweet! This is, hands down, the best donut shop on the planet! I grew up in New Orleans East and we came here often. When I got older and started coming back on my own, the donuts were just as good. This has been verified many times over as I've brought friends from Arizona to New Orleans and they all confirm that these are the. Eat donuts that they've ever tasted. The service is always good. The nicest people work there from the community and the owner can often be heard singing in the back or hanging out up front between baking. The place isn't much to look at from the outside (or the inside for that matter). But as soon as you walk in, you can smell fresh donuts being baked. Just walked in and i LOVE IT!!!! The customer service was impeccable and the vibes were everything for me. I just moved here from VA & I know that southern hospitality is real out here, but babyyyy when I tell you this place is so cute. The laughter and the people just made it an overall great experience. Trust me, I was there for less than 5min but it was such a memorable experience I had to share. I got a dozen for $8.50 of the chocolate and the glazed & the sweet lady gave me a honey bun! I got back to my car and tried it out & wasn't disappointed. The donuts are so soft and not overly sweet. But look at the size of this honey hun. It's legit the size of the box. I will be back!!!! On April 15 my 85 year old mother gave my brother an old hundred dollar bill she'd been holding onto and sent him, a regular customer of this establishment, to buy milk and donuts. Only the woman who was there at the time kept the bill after believing it was counterfeit. After several calls in which she said they hadn't a chance to check with the bank, I finally reached George, the owner, who'd been on vacation. He promptly took care of the matter, calling me back and confirming the bill was genuine. It took a week to get the issue resolved, but the owner, once made aware of it, handled it promptly, courteously, and with integrity.apologizing for the inconvenience. read more
