I had been craving a cupcake and I was happy to find Bywater Bakery. The line goes out the door showing how popular of a place this is and they deserve it! My favorite was the banana pudding.

Free cake on a celebrity's wedding day? My kinda people They have incredible cakes, fresh pastries daily, great coffee, and fun interior. It's such a NOLA bakery for real, you can't find it anywhere. Lot's of seating for a bakery - inside and outside. The service was sweet and swift.

This was my first at the bakery, though I've had their King cakes from the King cake hub. I knew whatever I ordered would be good, and I wasn't wrong. I had the boudin kolache as a snack for myself and ordered 18 cupcakes to bring to a gathering. The kolache was piping hot, and the bread was fluffy and fresh! The cupcakes were a hit. They were the perfect amount of sweet and not overwhelming. My favorites were the lavender and the snickerdoodle.

Wow, what an incredible experience. You gotta come to see this place. The breakfast gumbo with grits instead of rice is good enough to make a bulldog break his chain. I can't say how incredible the bacon quiche was, but to tell you the truth, I think it could make a tadpole hug a whale. This is easily my favorite new breakfast place anywhere. I even took took two slices of their famous chocolate and Keylime Chantilly cake home believe for me. This place will see me again and again and again.

Wooooooww, i am stunned by this place. I literally feel honored being able to eat a cake from here. Wanted to get one for my friend's bachelorette and after researching cakes in the city, i found that taylor swift ordered from there for her birthday a couple years ago so I thought that was a fun tidbit and went with it. My friends and I have talked so much about the whole foods berry chantilly cake before so when I saw they also had a berry chantilly cake here I knew it was the one. When I ordered on the phone, they let me customize the colors to match my friend's bachelorette scheme too! And when I mentioned the early pickup time (I wanted to be able to sneak back into the airbnb before anyone woke up so that the cake would be a surprise) the girl on the phone joked that I'd regret giving her such an early time (tbh she wasn't wrong but I don't regret it) The price was so worth and honestly I would've paid twice as much - the color customization (which was free!!) was beautiful, and it was so delicious. Easily fed the entire bachelorette party for multiple days (I might've been eating cake at every spare moment). Then a couple months later, another kicker. I was reading the NYTimes cooking recipe description for their berry chantilly cake, where they mentioned that the owner of Bywater Bakery actually developed the berry chantilly cake for whole foods - WHAT. AMAZING. 10/10. Best decision I ever made.

Love love love Bywater Bakery! They always have so many yummy options it's hard to choose what to get! When I can this, is a great place to work for half a day. There isn't a lot of space for this and they do close at 2pm but they have free wifi and an awesome coffee and pastry special (just $5!). There are also so many options for a hot meal such as the Jambalaya pastry that I got. There are breads, cookies, cakes, and so much more! It's really hard not buying too much because my eyes are way bigger than my stomach. Drinks: Just coffee beverages no alcohol Service: Good! You can order at the counter and they'll give you a number. There's also a kiosk. Outside Seating: Plenty! Wifi: Check! Pet friendly: Yup Parking: Street parking.

As I was great food, great service but they're very popular so you have to wait a little bit. The line didn't move it first but then it went pretty fast. They have muffle outs now there's always something new going on fresh baked bread. Definitely recommend the buy water bakery for your coffee or your pastry or baking needs you can order custom cakes. This is your go to place for the buy water even in town for some great baked goods..

I have heard lots of great things about this place and it lived up to the hype! We ordered a sausage croissant, breakfast gumbo, a cold brew, a latte, and some pastries. Everything was pretty tasty, but the breakfast gumbo stole the show. Grits with gumbo is soooooooooo good!! We will be back!

This popular bakery in the neighborhood was so lively on a Sunday morning! They had musicians playing in front of the bakery so we could hear this place before seeing it. The person who took our order at the front was very sweet and helpful, giving good recs on which cake to try. The classic berry chantilly cake certainly did not disappoint. It was so delicious and I loved the fragrant almond flavor coming from the airy cake. I wish I could could have this cake ordered for all of my celebrations. We also got the chai latte and americano which paired well with the cake. This is a lovely bakery that everyone should certainly try when visiting NOLA!

This California girl might've been too much for the counter. Oh well, it was amazing! By the smells, and the people that are continuing to walk in this place has got some good stuff to offer. Looking forward to my first bites to enjoy the wonderful Yummies that I just picked up.

Went for Chantilly and saw they had yakamein and HAD to try! It was so comforting, flavorful and filling. Perfect for a cold day. And the service at the counter is always excellent. Everyone is so friendly!

I couldn't wait until king cake season to over indulge in some bywater bakery king cakes. One weekend I ordered the savory creamy seafood filled king cake and it was do good. The crust had colored Parmesan cheese on it. The very next weekend I ordered the chantilly king cake. It was do good that I had to go bring some to my sister so that I wouldn't end up eating an entire king cake alone

Do they sell King's cakes year round? I didn't see a location on the website to order online.

They do not, you maybe be able to order via phone.

There was tons of parking all around the park across the street. Inside had something like 6 or 8 tables and a bar to sit at. They also have outdoor seating. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. I ordered the 2 meat 1 side combo. They didn't have burnt ends at the time, which I'm still dying to try. Instead I went with ribs and chicken with Mac and cheese. I've been getting used to bbq places bringing you small wimpy ribs, but this says two ribs on the menu it's more like three and some change they're so big. These ribs were so juicy, perfect amount of char, tons of flavor. Throw some of the table bbq to dip in and wow. Same with the chicken juicy, with a light crispy skin, and also even better with the bbq. Mac and cheese was also great. It was super cheesy and had a nice kick to it.

I ordered the brisket burnt ends and the ribs with a side of baked beans. The food came out pretty fast. The burnt ends were delicious. Tender and seasoned well I also loved the bbq sauce. The ribs were okay. They were Luke warm so they got cold pretty fast and were over cooked. I enjoyed the baked beans and they give you a hearty portion. Overall pretty good I would definitely go back to get another order of burnt ends.

There's no indoor seating because it's a tiny cute little shop, but they do have tables and chairs outside if you want to hang out. They have all kinds of fruit, milk, and boba teas. I got to try the strawberry fruit tea ($6), and I added some lychee popping pearls to it (For only $0.75 extra, it's SO worth it). It was not overly sweet, delicious, and perfectly refreshing! Just what I needed since it was hot out! I'll have to try their milk teas sometime I got to try their grilled cheese ($6). It was made with colby jack cheese on a bun. (At least, I think, I'm no cheese expert) The bun was good, but the cheese wasn't my favorite. In my opinion, this would be so much better if they used a sharper cheese, but to each their own. I did add imitation crab (+$1) to the grilled cheese, which helped boost the flavor a bit, but I really thought they could have use sauce or seasonings. You may enjoy their grilled cheese though if you're a purist! I also tried their sushi dog ($6). The hot dog was good quality, all beef. This had plenty of sauces and flavor, and much more up-my-alley! It is only half a sausage though, you don't get a whole dog, which was my only complaint. One thing to note: It's completely cashless, so you should definitely bring small bills for tips because you can't break a $20 there! Overall, I would try their other menu items, but I'd skip the grilled cheese. Their drinks seem to be yummy too!

The staff at Capulet is great, as well. I knew I wanted our wedding at Capulet and didn't even bother to tour any other venue and I am so happy we did. The building itself is absolutely stunning and you can't beat having a mezzanine AND a rooftop all in one venue. Of course having a wedding in New Orleans comes with challenges...especially in the spring. Rain quickly became an issue and the day before our wedding we had to rent a tent last minute for the rooftop. Steve worked with us in getting this done in a timely fashion and our guests continue to talk about how nice it was upstairs. While the rooftop cocktail hour was a hit, the food was as well. So many of our friends and family raved about the items we had on our menu and even though my husband and I only ate a tiny bit...I can certainly say EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. Our signature drinks which were a French 75 and Old Fashioned were so good, too. Our guests couldn't get enough!  All in all, 10/10 experience and I wish we could relive our night all over again. It truly was more magical than I ever envisioned.  If you're looking for a beautiful venue with the most gorgeous industrial but quaint architecture, look no further...you have found THE place and I have no doubt you'll enjoy your ENTIRE experience just as we did.  Thank you so much Steve for making our dream come true! It was truly a pleasure to work with y'all and I couldn't have pictured our wedding anywhere else. Let's maybe do an anniversary party in 10 years? :D
