Their pickled Dikon and carrots are sliced flat version instead is strips. Lemon Chicken Sandwich: 3/5 all the basic veggies on the sandwich but I asked for extra jalapeños and apparently they cook it into the lemon chicken instead is putting it on fresh so I had to ask for extra fresh ones on the side. They do charge for extra stuff. They use a flat bread compare to usual French baguette. FYI: if your a little extra don't expect them to make your sandwich perfect for example when asking for extra veggies or extra Dikon or without certain veggie they do tend to get it wrong... Love this place for their banh mi sandwiches. The tofu in their veggie banh mi comes marinated, along with some tasty grilled onions, so it has tons of flavor! I also like the combo banh mi, but it could use more pate. The crunchy and light bread roll it comes with is to die for. I also enjoy their avocado smoothies when they have avocados available. I stopped patronizing the business on principal. I was a faithful customer for years, purchasing donuts by the dozen and boba drinks regularly. DK would hand out reward cards for the purchase of 10 drinks, with the reward of one "free" drink. I happened to have a reward card on me. I attempted to redeem the card but was told, we don't do that no more. Ok. But THIS card says i am owed one drink. The owner REFUSED to honor my card. Fine! I showed this Asian lady the redeemable for one free donut from yelp and handed her my phone but she tried to play me and clicked the use it now button and went back to my yelp page and said , "I don't see it anymore , you can only use it one time here " and I kept telling her that I've never been here before but it was just so funny how she tried to play me so I just left and didn't purchase my croissan. If i could give zero stars I would. Customer service was horrible and uncalled for to a homeless man. My husband went in for a boba drink and heard the cashier lady tell a homeless man to leave because he stunk and didnt want him there. My husband offered to buy him a donut and he picked one but the lady got a random donut and threw it on the counter and it fell to the ground so the homeless man had to pick it up from the ground. My husband made sure to let the lady know all that was uncalled for and that he too was human and deserved to eat and that he wouldn't be going back there again. She didn't care one bit. Actual best-tasting boba in Merced -- and best priced too. This store is a perfect stop for when you're downtown, especially on a lazy weekend. There's a huge variety of blended smoothies, chais, and coffees, in addition to different types of American and Vietnamese sandwiches. I've had the veggie tofu sub, which was surprisingly large and tasty for a good price. Lastly, the donuts are just as good. In addition to your typical selection, Donut King's sells muffins, fritters, turnovers, strudels, and three different types of croissants (ham&cheese, cream cheese, plain). Heart shaped donuts and Free Delivery for Valentine's Day! Thank you so much Donut King! I promised my sisters I was going to get them heart shaped donuts for Valentine's day and I live in LA so I called around Merced to see if anyone had heart shaped donuts and wanted to see if I could pay with my card and have my sisters come pick them up. The first place I called was kind of rude and had poor customer service, the second didn't have any - even though their chain website specifically advertised that they did, and the 3rd place was Donut King! The guy who answered was very nice and understanding, I wish I remembered to get his name - but he was awesome! He told me that they did have heart shaped donuts for Valentine's day and even better than having my sisters come in to pick them up, I could order on their website donutpros.com and they would deliver for free! He also said how nice it was that I was sending my sisters a surprise and that he looked forward to my order. I was pleasantly surprised at not only the online ordering and free delivery, but the great customer service. I ordered a dozen special mix donuts online right away and gave special instructions include 4 heart shaped donuts and a special message. I picked a delivery time and once they were delivered, I got a call from the driver - I'm pretty sure it was the same guy I had talked to on the phone earlier in the morning, confirming the delivery to sisters. My sisters loved them! Thank you!!
