Place runs like a well oiled machine. Unique donut choices are worth the money. Coffee was equally as delightful. I honestly would come just for coffee. I'm not a donut person but my family loves donuts and these are by far the best ones. Yeast raised donuts are well risen, fluffy, light, and a tad sweeter than my liking but is still way less sweet compared to other places. Cake donuts are evenly textured and well flavored. All the donuts are very eye appealing. They also make special donuts and take special orders. Staff is super nice and helpful. If I had to pick a favorite - I couldn't. Like literally they were all helpful to customers and to each other. You could see that they enjoyed working there. Place has potential to be better but with boxes stacked high and orders getting cranked out, I can see why they haven't had the time to put thought into it yet. This mom&pop is so cute! Highly recommend!

The bakery is kind of small but the air smells like donuts even from the parking lot. You get to see the donut cakes that have been ordered and also the donuts they have in stock. Service was great and super quick. I recommend stopping by to get at least one donut to try! I hope to be back & try a filled donut or specialty donut to see the quality. I do wish that the donuts were more moist but the glazing was perfect.

Such delicious donuts and wonderful service. There can be a line, but it moves quickly. There is order ahead. They have a lot of specialty donuts plus all the classics. They have seats if you want to eat there (they have breakfast sandwiches and coffees), but I typically just grab donuts and go. 10/10 recommend.

HOLY SUGAR HIGH. These donuts are fantastic and I'm not even a big fan of donuts! My husband wanted to check the place out so we came in and grabbed half a dozen donuts to go. There were so many to choose from! I love how the donuts were decorated to go with whatever is happening in the world of pop culture; for example, there were donuts decorated for the Masters golf tournament and Taylor Swift's album release. The donuts were light, fluffy and HUGE. They had almost a cake-like quality to them. Due to the "lightness," it felt like I could eat a million of them! Definitely check this place out for a sweet treat :)

Donut King has very fresh and very tasty donuts. They get extremely busy and it is very hectic trying to get a pickup order vs ordering at the counter. Preordering the day before is the smoothest way for pickup on weekends, though you might still find yourself waiting. The staff are very nice and helpful and the donuts themselves taste as great as they look. Only suggestion would be to try to figure out a better pickup vs ordering system because the lines for both seem to confuse the patrons.

My friend picked up some donuts to try out. I got the classic, raised style donuts. I tried the honey dipped and the apple caramel donuts. They tasted amazing and felt very airy. Also, they have more styles of donuts to choose from like the cake style donuts which are more dense, and all their donuts are handcrafted. From looking at their menu, I would definitely go in person to try more flavors!

I have heard great things from friends, and was so excited to finally make it over to Donut King in Weymouth myself! I definitely recommend getting there early, as we were there a little after 10AM on a Sunday and it seemed that they were sold out of most donuts. We were able to get our hands on a marble cruller, cinnamon, raised sugar and coconut donut, and WOW, they did not disappoint! They nailed the classics, clearly having been freshly baked just hours before. And for those not interested in donuts, they had plenty of muffins, cookies and pastries still available. The price point was super reasonable... cheaper than dunkin' and for a much higher quality donut. Adequate amount of parking, and super easy access from the highway for those visiting from farther away like us. It looked like they would normally have a few counter seats, but due to COVID it is takeout only. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Happy eating! read more

An amazing family owned business! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Been wanting to try their donuts for a while and I made sure to get there early to grab some of the specialty donuts. They are big and there's just so many flavors to choose from! They specialize in raised-style and cake-style donuts in which are rolled, cut, and dipped all by hand daily! Definitely recommend to pre-order their specialty donuts a day in advance cause they sell out quick! I mean, it makes sense, LOOK AT HOW YUMMY THEY ARE! I had ordered donuts for an 8:00 am pick up, today, the day before Thanksgiving. The shop was bustling, but my order was nowhere to be found, although there was a record that was placed it 2 days ago, for 4 dozen donuts to go to various places. I had to leave before they finished putting together my order so that I could get to work on time, but the wonderful people in this shop not only made sure I recieved my order just a short while later, but also brought a whole bunch of compensatory munchkins! I love donuts. So when we had the day off I had to find a donut shop nearby. What better than the King himself?! I was hoping to find wild flavors like pictured by other yelpers but only found your average flavors. The donuts were huge though and super fresh. I enjoyed a strawberry frosted and vanilla frosted (next day treat). Only got to go, inside is like stepping back in time. Can't see even pre-COVID wanting to spend a long time in there but take out is perfect. read more

11/17/20 - Donut King continue to have great pastries. I may have mentioned in a previous review that there are new owners. They have improved Donut King immensely. Covid has prevented them from having their sit down diner opened, but take out is available. Happy Eats! read more

Easily the best service and by far has the best donut I have ever had in my entire life (and that's saying a lot since I review donuts) The holy cannoli is by far the greatest donut and the cannoli cream is almost as good as mike's pastries.. that's a huge statement for a donut place read more

Overall extremely kind staff and an impressive selection of fun, generous donuts and other items (breakfast, drinks). We have been wanting to try here forever after constantly seeing their mouth water donuts on Instagram and at our local coffee shops. I was very impressed by all their donuts flavors that rotate weekly so you always have something new to try! They are BIG and are great if you buy several and slip them among your friends so you can try all the flavors. They are very sugary so you may want to save some for later, especially with the toppings and fillings. We went around 4 in the afternoon but I suggest going in the morning so they are the freshest and you will have a better selection. Even in the afternoon, they had several customers but still made time to answer all our questions and were very friendly. Have been a lifelong fan of Dunkin but will defiantly be back to pick up a dozen for a party and try different flavors. read more

Have done special donut orders before at Donut King, including their donut cakes, but this time around things were different. Went in on Thursday to put in my special dozen donut order. Went in Sunday morning to pick up the order, and the order was not ready. Had to wait 45 minutes for them to rush my order because they forgot. The worst part is not getting the donut order correct. I had ordered specific donut flavors for the special design, and they couldn't get that right. The owner did apologize, but that doesn't make up for wasting 45 minutes of my time to wait for donuts that should have been ready. The price paid in store was also higher than the quoted phone cost. read more

What a cute little spot. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was my first time there . She gave me a few suggestions to pick from. I got the cookie monster, kit Kat, Chocolate Caramel Turtle, caramel apple pie, and Oreo. These were soft and huge. It's like $3 something for one. Worth a shot read more

I love place although I don't eat donuts nor muffins However I pick them up for my mother or the elderly housing complex that's close by and they love it!!!! Totally worth it! So, I don't eat donuts, but I drive by this place several times a week, and after a couple of bitter cups of coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, I decided to give Donut King a try. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and didn't love it, but I am a Big Fan of their coffee. Every cup has been consistently good. Bear in mind that I'm not a coffee snob, so if you are it might not be for you, but it's the best I've had in town thus far. Also, their creativity and variety in donut select is remarkable, and I can't but grin when someone comes in for the first time or when a kid - or kid at heart - comes in. Their reaction is *awesome*. So, I don't eat donuts, but I a fan of DK. read more

There's a lot of hype for this place, but I haven't had the best experience. I ordered a cake that was supposed to be filled and when I got there to pick up I asked if it was, and it hadn't been. I had also arrived later to give extra time, but the order still wasn't ready. So even with extra time they couldn't do a quality check of the item and I still had to wait for it to be completed. Another thing, if they don't know you, they'll let regulars cut in front of you. I don't know who likes to run their business like this, but as a customer it doesn't feel right to be overlooked. read more

Well worth the wait in line on a Saturday morning (most of the wait was due to the specialty coffee drinks and not donut orders). Large selection of well made standard flavored donuts - extra large sized and super fresh- with a great selection of fancy decorations available for the kiddos. Breakfast sandwiches made to order and quickly delivered out front. Looks to be family run with everyone helping on a busy Saturday morning. Location is easy although there needs to be parking lessons available to patrons - yup, talking to you, don't live park in front of the door or blocking parked cars and then act surprised when someone asks you to move. This place kind of looks like a hole in the wall from the outside and I honestly might have driven past it if I hadn't been searching for good local donuts in the area. My advice: DO NOT DRIVE PAST THIS PLACE. You'll regret it! The place is doing really well to maintain hygiene and flow in the COVID-19 area and the donuts are absolutely exquisite, as was the danish we got. Also happy to note that they have donated over 800 donates to healthcare workers! Definitely a business worth supporting both for their quality and their generosity. read more

Absolutely love the DONUTS! Everyone there was so nice and they had a pretty big selection for 12:30pm on a Friday which was wonderful! I'm sure they probably sell through so many on the weekends but it seems like they do a great job having a section of choice later into the day. Their social media is super bright and is great to see what options they have and you can call ahead to place an order, so easy! A bit inconsistent. I always go for the cream filled and depending on the day whether or not it's going to be filled with the right amount of cream or not. I've gone there and actually left without donuts. I love them too. Please be consistent and I'll give you 5 stars! read more

Their breakfast sandwiches are really good. Their donuts are nice and big and fluffy hot chocolate really good their little munchkin things these big nice warm when you bite into it they're really great the service is amazing it's it's quick, but sometimes you will have to wait in line but I still think it's pretty good, they're really nice. read more

No longer a sit down breakfast place... The entire sit down and all seating has been replaced and blocked with Donuts assembly line. Take out only now.... Not the same Donut King. Traffic flow issue and no room to even wait for your food. If you are looking to sit down and have breakfast this is no longer the place for you. The counter area was spotless and the floor was clean as well. There is some seating in this establishment if you would like to enjoy your doughnuts and coffee right in the shop. I took my doughnut to go and when I got home and ate it it was very delicious and satisfying. The doughnuts that they make here are very good sized and one is enough for anybody. I have had their glazed doughnuts as well before and they are just as good as the plain doughnut that I purchased during this most recent visit to the shop.
