This is the best donut place in the area!! They have such a wide selection of donuts and other baked goods like fritters and turn overs and always seem to have something new to try. Their prices are so cheap and the donuts are amazing. Personally we sometimes find the chocolate icing too strong and it overpowers the donut but if you love chocolate it's great. Now part of Winter Park since 2017, a small shop inside the stripmall at 3716 Howell Branch Road open 5am-9pm Monday through Sunday, it was on the way out of town that shelves were found fully-stacked, a friendly employee donning mask and gloves offering assistance with varieties tallying at least 40. Family owned from the start, with a menu of Burgers and New Orleans specialties also available, it was into a Cream-filled glazed Longjohn that teeth plunged initially, Nutella and ground Walnuts adding texture to areas lacking filling while a pinwheel-shaped specimen was heavily topped in dueling Cream Cheese Frosting and Cherry Compote. I never understand how some places are considered the best. Donut King makes fresh donuts and all fresh donuts are tasty. But when compared to other donut shops in the greater Orlando area they are by far the bottom of the pack. The "filled" donuts here are an embarrassment. Any filled donut I've seen has had less than a tablespoons worth of filling inside the donut. It's pretty pathetic especially because having little to no filling is consistent with the 10 or so filled donuts I've seen. They offer a wide variety of donuts but they are pretty boring. Here is a glazed donut with m&ms on it, now here is another glazed donut with fruity pebbles on it, and another glazed donut with whatever other cereal on it. Just the same donut with a minimal different topping. Nothing super inventive. The donuts are definitely fresh. If you want donuts than this is a much better option than something like Dunkin Donuts. But I'd strongly recommend pretty much any other local donut place over this. If you ignore my advice and still go to Donut King than make sure you don't waste your time on their cream filled donuts. read more

Seriously, some of the best donuts in Orlando! I'm pretty picky when it comes to donuts and these donuts are certainly delicious. Super fresh and tasty. Since I don't live close we got there around noon and we had 2 people ahead of us and the line goes super fast. Their apple fritter is by far the best I've tasted ( soft and flavorful ), their double chocolate cake donut was also Phenomenal and usually, I'm not a huge fan of cake donuts. Best donut shop I've been to so far in the Orlando area! There are so many unique donut options, and they change every time I return, which makes my trips there even more exciting. My favorite would have to be the cinnamon cronut they have! It is so flaky and delicious. It's huge so I usually like to share with everyone so they can try it. As for covid, they don't have a limit for how many customers should enter the shop, so when I arrived there was a ton of people inside, and I didn't feel safe. The workers were also not wearing their masks appropriately (nose not in mask or wearing thin neck scarfs). Our Valentine's Day tradition is always donuts! I wanted to try somewhere other than a chain and was thrilled to find this place. It's close to a favorite pizza place too. What a win! This place is super low key and I think if I didn't know to come here for excellent donuts, I wouldn't have known to come inside. I say it's low key because it's a regular storefront with some tables and those chairs that you had in your fifth grade classroom. But the donut selection and flavors are unbelievable. It was hard to pick just one, but I had to, because I just bring a box of donuts of various, imaginative flavors home! The service was friendly and the prices manageable.
