I went here to get donuts for work. Love that at 9:30ish in the morning I still had plenty to choose from. I got 3 dozen mixed and they were great. I will say that I'm a fan of glazed twist. That is my fave donut that I will go for first. Yes it's basic but if it's not right it's not right! Loved their twist. The dough was light and fluffy, not dry at all. I would have left a 5 star review but I got home and realized even though I and the man behind the counter were the only people in the store , he gave me three wrong do nuts. I specifically said glazed and pointed to the rack of glazed donuts I was standing in front of. He repeated back glazed. The same for the nut topped and coconut topped. I got home and he had given me chocolate not what I asked for not what I indicated the glazed had turned into a glazed old fashioned. He did not appear to be thrilled to be helping me or maybe he was just not thrilled to be at work? I don't know, but almost $9 for 6 donuts I shouldn't get home and find a messed up order. SO: check your box before you leave even if you thought you saw the right order make sure! You can't really see what he grabs and his attitude makes it hard to double check with him. My wife and I stopped here on two occasions, while staying in Tualatin for 3 nights. This is your neighborhood bakery that makes donuts and other bakery items well that taste good. It is inexpensive without going over the top. You can have a cup of coffee and donut for less than $2.00. They have convenient hours daily: 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. This place may not look like much yet, I think it's new and in a fairly empty business lot, but the donuts are legit! Homemade and don't come out tasting like they've been packaged by hostess at some point. They were all soft and flavorful, and the blueberry ring was an explosion of blueberry flavor in each bite! This is a donut shop; not a tourist attraction. Exactly what we all need more of! I have ordered the mixed dozen a few times now and have always been pleased. All the donuts here are solid but I'm particularly fond of the cake doughnut. The inside is soft, warm, and cakey. While the outside has a great crust and delicious sweet glaze. Coffee's not bad either and comes in a wonderfully nostalgic styrofoam cup. This is the perfect neighborhood donut shop and has sold the test of time. Do yourself a favor and stop by. I love donuts. Quite honestly I think I have an annual budget just for donuts. These might be my favorite donuts anyplace. They are not fancy but they are well made. The "fry" is perfect on donuts you expect to have some crispiness to them. The soft spots are soft and almost creamy. Whatever you need to do to make a good donut these folks have mastered. The apple fritter, maple bear claw, and maple topped bar are some of the best I have ever had in these categories. Are they works of art made with strange and exotic ingredients? No. They are donuts bro! They are not fancy and sold for $3.50 (yeah I am looking at you Blue Star!) and they do not have silly versions that look like human anatomy or kitchen experiments gone wrong (yes, Voodoo we know you throw away more donuts than you sell!), but they taste like donuts should and are not so big as to be crazy, and not so small as to leave you feeling that you were ripped off. Good donuts here. Get here before 7am because there's a line. They're quick with service and their donuts are really good. Pricing is decent. It's cheaper to get a dozen than single donuts. Who is the fairest in all the land? Not the King, but Doughnut Land. In the old days, I spent many a morning before a soccer game picking up doughnuts from this little shop. At the time, it was convenient and I didn't give it much thought. Cut to several years later and rather than picking up several dozen glazed for a group of ravenous sweaty little boys, my trips are focused on quality and variety, not quantity. My gold standard for doughnuts is the maple bar. This is the best I've found in the area. My basis for comparison is Donut King (just across the street), Sesame Donuts in Sherwood, Muno's in OC and even Krispy Kreme. They even positively compare to Annie's and Tonalli's downtown. No point discussing Voodoo, since this is an old fashioned doughnut shop and Voodoo is really in a category all its own. The shop isn't pretty, the owner isn't overly friendly and there is nothing that makes you want to stay and eat there. But, when I need a maple bar that is the perfect combination of fluffy and chewy, this is the place. read more

There's good and bad things about Doughnut Land: The Good: the donuts are delicious, fresh, and not over-priced. The glazed Old Fashioned are great - not overly sweet, imho. They also seem to be open ALL the time - 7 days a week, whenever I drive by, they are open. (Unlike the competition across the street, who never seems to be open.) The Bad: They are nearly always open, they have fresh, tasty donuts calling my name, and I have to drive past the shop every time I go anywhere north, and I am trying not to eat so many sweet goodies. I picked up donuts for staff at my office. I had not been here before, but somewhat on my way and open early to swing in for a dozen. Though not the most cordial crew, they get people in and out, and they have donuts! I was there at 6:30 on a Friday morning, and they had quite the selection and from what my staff claims, very tasty donuts. I also like the donut box, a nice touch from a marketing standpoint. Not a fine dining experience, but a mighty fine donut. I shook the sugar monkey a few years back....but there are occaisionally those mornings (usually after a late night of cocktails and loud music) when a donut is the only thing to fill the void. Thank you, Yelpers for again, reinstating my goddess status....Even though my iPhone sent us on a bit of a goose chase, the photo of the establishment set us straight, and we found Doughnut Land across the freeway..... The cinnamon crunch donut was money. cakey, but moist and covered (vs. topped) with a sweet crunchy cinnamony orbit. The old fashioned had the buttermilk twang, and the chocolate icing was not too sweet (a nice change) The raised and glazed collection were equally good. I wish the people working behind the desk could have been better about recommending some of the donut flavors especially for new timers at Doughnut Land. The girl wasn't very helpful because she hadn't tried majority of the doughnuts there. They should make it a requirement for their workers to try the donuts so that they can offer their opinion and be able to speak to it. He kept changing the price from $12.99 to $12.49 then $11.45 Umm this guy didn't even know what he was doing. But I don't blame him I blame you menu on the wall because it's hard to read and unorganized. There was a Mexican guy working there last time I went in and he did a better job than this guy.
