Came in to grab some donuts for a lazy/late Sunday morning (11am-ish) breakfast... was immediately greeted by the two lovely ladies behind the counter (I believe it was Daysha and Brooke?). Super sweet, bubbly, helpful, and just all around pleasant. They really seemed to mesh well and genuinely enjoy their jobs (BIG PLUS for the all around vibe). Got a mixed dozen and to say these were the freshest donuts I've had in Portland WOULD BE A SUPREME UNDERSTATEMENT. I consider myself a semi connoisseur of OG good donuts and these are hitting all of the marks!! For these donuts to be so insanely fresh, soft, and delicate AT 11am should speak VOLUMES. Glaze to donut ratio was perfect, good flavors, some great shaping techniques as well as some fun Littles. They have the little milks and juices to accompany your treats which is a hallmark sign of the thoughtfulness of a good shop (think biscuits with no drink... you're gonna suffer without some good liquids for your donuts!!). The littlest wild baby creature even got to practice his manners upon receiving a fresh donut hole perfectly sized for his little bear paw. They close at noon to ensure no dry (stale) donuts are sold so be mindful of not being TOOO snuggly and missing their open window. This is now my new fave go to in Portland. No understatement, all truth, no lies told! Soooooo good! 12/10 for staff + donuts + parking ease. The old fashioned I ordered was again very tasty but VERY VERY small. Like the size of two little Debbie Doughnut holes. Overall a good doughnut, but I can do better value wise at other shops. BEST DONUT SHOP EVER! WOWW! I went for Brandon IG Donut reviews & he was right! Donuts were soooo good! I just happened to get the cinnamon mini and chocolate bar. The staff were super friendly and warming. The donuts itself were so fresh even at almost closing time. They were light, moist, airy, fluffy, and a thin crust on the outside with a little of crunch. I believe all five star reviews require multiple visits to gauge consistency. Here's how I got there for this place. First off, everything is always fresh. You don't get that with the bigger shops that are open longer hours. I expect in a couple of years this place will be like Annie's-sold out at 5:30 AM! I am partial to Bavarian creams - and their pastry cream is the best I've had in the Portland area. What amazed me even more were the Apple fritters. They are usually gross concoctions of sugar and grease but these are lighter and full of flavor. I feel like anyone that can make an apple fritter craveable is winning what they do. Even though it impacts me negatively, it would be great to have people stop by for office runs and buy them up. I would've been so happy to see those donuts in the break room. read more

As many before us have said, the owners are very sweet! We ordered: an apple, fritter, a blueberry cake, donut, a maple bar, and a chocolate bar for our travels to Astoria. Ever since moving into the area about a year ago, I've been neglecting in looking for a partner to go with my usually cup of coffee every morning. I finally mustered enough motivation to go out and look for that perfect partner; what better than pairing up a donut to go with my cup of joe. I did a search around the area and came across Tigard Donut. Tigard Donut is nestled in a small and quiet shopping area. From 99 west you need to cross the median from the island which was not too bad since I came here at 8am on a Saturday morning. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a smile and good morning by the owner. Seemed like I may have been one of the firsts to arrive which was a good thing as I've heard the donuts in this place usually sell out. I went with their dozen special in where you get to choose from color-tagged items. I decided to mix it up and ended with what you see in my photo. When I got home I decided to warm up the pallets with donut hole #13 (bakers dozen) which was waiting for me to pluck right out of the box. Yummy! Nice, wholesome and not airy like Krispy Kreme. Perfect texture. The dozen belonged to my son which about 5 minutes later got a loud compliment from upstairs- These are better than Roger's! (Our old donut shop back in CA). Now for my personal review. The ultimate test had to lie with the Apple fritter. I found that fritters tend to be dry on the inside and too hard on the outer. The one from here is an exception. Talk about the perfect fritter; crunchy outer shell, diving into a sweet layer of glaze, into a soft and fluffy tasteful inner swimming in bits of cinnamon apple bits heaven. Not heavy or overly sweet- everything is just right!! Perfect Fritter!! I finally found the perfect pairing with my cup of joe! I have still to delve into the cake donuts and a warm, pig in a blanket I added to my order but I'm pretty sure those will be delicious as well. I'm glad to be able to support a locally owned family business and I will be back again for more. read more
