Even when we were the most tragic as far as the gas prices go, I was still way less at the pump than most cars since I have had 7 gallon tanks. I still tried to go back and forth between gas points pricing at Fred Meyer and my Costco membership... I refuse to negotiate getting cash to try to save money going to Arco since you then have to deal with going to (AND INTO SINCE CASH WHICH ADDS TO THE FUCK NO) and also dealing with the folks who angrily work and Arco and discover why they are so mad since you also get to deal with the other customers. I then started doing delivery driving so I am not just filling my tank a whole lot more BUT I need to watch my money more and am EVERYWHERE. Of course there are many main streets which I am often on. But I see A LOT of gas stations and notice the price differences which are pretty sizeable. There are certain gas stops which just have better prices. I filled up at what I thought was the lowest (Astro) and five minutes later I drive past Space Age which was nearly ten cents cheaper! SHOCKING... but instead of plugging in Astro first I go for Space Age. I did exactly that this time and then discovered this gas station was so close for so long that I genuinely just found the other day. Even better is that people in Oregon are not used to self serve so they all sit in line waiting for someone to do it for them. Take advantage while you can, like I did and roll right up to a self service pump and then out. Unlike Astro, they have a snack station too. I cannot report on that as I just grabbed some gas.

Maybe it was the cold weather... It sure as hell couldn't have been the lights, fog lights, heater fan, rear defroster, radio and cell phone charger that were left on while the car was off to bee filled up. Nope... Couldn't have been that at all. After filling up the car wouldn't start. They gas station attendants helped push our car out of the way so other customers could get gas. They had us push the car over towards a Bronco in the parking lot. Next they I know what of the attendant was opening the hood of the Bronco and handing my jumper cables. Soon our car was started and we were on our way. He didn't have to help us, but I'm sure glad he did. It took us 5 and a half hours to get home. It could have been way worse without his help. A lot of gas stations around here are slow, but I like this gas station because they don't leave you sitting out there for a minute before they pump your gas. A few weeks ago they did some new hires so they were in training. The new hires were slow but still trying and very friendly. They always endeavor to be quick and pleasant. The convenience store is fully stocked and very clean. They even have a code red Mountain Dew. Which seems to be hard to find nowadays. They do have a deli type food station with hot dogs, corn dogs, Doritos, other Food, etc... The ability to reach the gas station from 205 is a little bit difficult because of the one-way lanes, but there is a roundabout to help out with that. There is a red barn carwash in the same lot as well as a Pacific pride gas station. There is a nice little hometown coffee place right next to the convenience store attached to the same building. Good service with whatever you need. Get your gas and your snacks and be on the road for wherever the road takes you!
