Anyone from West, Texas? This place is a lovely reminder of kolaches from West. I had the OG, which was a double smoked sausage and cheese. The sausage was juicy and tasty, the cheese was plentiful. But really the best piece was the dough, it was an enriched dough, super soft, warm, delicious. They spice honey latte I had was also yummy, though very little spice, more a slightly sweet latte. Which worked. The owner was fun and talkative and quick.

Super enriched dough wrapped around a hot link sausage with jalapeños and cheese. Super soft and slightly sweet this spicy Sammie is a perfectly lunch bite. The owner is super nice and gives great customer service. Small well lit space with indoor and outdoor seating .

If you know what kolaches are, you've hit the jackpot! They make these incredible Czech pastries. They're the perfect breakfast. Light and fluffy, sweet bread and perfect amount of filling. I highly recommend this place. The owner or manager is there and super kind and chatty. Perfect places to sit in the summer out on the patio.

I used to live in Oklahoma, and kolaches were a weekly staple. I havent had anything like it since moving back to oregon, and this spot reminded me of the extremely humid home i once had. atmosphere was gorgeous, and coffee was great. worth going out of your way for one of these!!!!!

What an amazing little gem of a cafe. Was up to Portland on a quick trip, and my local friend recommended I try this place out. And boy, this was a treat. Only had the chance to stop in for one, but I was very impressed with the fare on offer. The kolaches are excellent, with a variety of both sweet and savory flavors. I got to try out the poppy seed-lemon-cocoa nib one, and it was fantastic, my buddy equally enthused about the ham and cheese. And of course, you got coffee and drinks to go along with your order. With prices for everything being quite reasonable, staring at a few dollars per kolache. The service here was outstanding. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner a bit as I tried my kolache, hearing about how he and his wife have tried to make both authentic and unique takes on these old world recipes. This is also one of those small hole-in-the-wall spots I absolutely adore. Just the cozy front room, replete with art and board games, and a pleasant little outdoor seating area. I was also impressed reading the newspaper clippings on the walls, showing how they've been here for more than a decade. Glad to see them still going strong, and I certainly hope I can fly on by when next I'm in town.

This coffee shop was jot very busy when we went to visit. Which is odd since it is so highly rated and the owner and seems to love what they do, and you can taste it in every cup and savory oastery made. I really enjoyed the coffee, and the vietnamese coffee was just rich like it should be. I had something simple. A latte, and I loved it. Perfect combo of coffee and milk. Our daughter loved the pastery and ate it all by herself. We got her a hot cocoa, and she almost finished.. Too young to really get it done in a sitting. There were definitely regulars walking or working out that stopped it. Even nearby workers would grab a cup. They do not stay open long. I think k they have a morning rush, the close around noon. They have plenty of seating and a lot of windows to enjoy the Oregon weather.

Bacon me Happy in the front. Hot Link in the back and plain cheesecake on the side.

Soft little pillows of delicious! We wanted a lighter breakfast and kolaches fit the bill perfectly! Clean and inviting the cafe had a causal feel about it. Service was friendly and helpful. I like t he at they offer some standard choices and also sprinkle in some limited time options to keep the menu fresh.

    A few of strawberry ones.

We were seated quickly -- it was a nice day, so we sat in their lovely outdoor dining area. They brought us room temperature waters (not a fan), and took our drink orders rather quickly. Service was good throughout our visit. I ordered the IPA Bacon Cheeseburger, which came (over)loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, a large burger patty, and the IPA mustard sauce. I don't want to complain about a burger being piled high with bacon, pickles, and fresh onions, lettuce, & tomatoes; but it was difficult to eat. While the Challah bun was delicious, it was woefully undersized for the task of holding it all together. I enjoyed it, but felt the IPA sauce was lost in the midst of everything else, and I also thought the burger patty was under-seasoned. I ordered fries as a side, and unfortunately they were the "battered" variety, which I just don't enjoy. Restaurants -- please, just serve normal French fries, without any batter on them! We knew from past experience that baked goods and desserts are really what La Provence is good at, so we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. Their very non-traditional take on this Italian classic would probably some people uneasy, but it was delicious. It had a dense chocolate cake base, with a thick layer of mascarpone mousse on top of that, then a topping of thin, crunchy, chocolate hazelnut ganache. Not too sweet, with a variety of textures to enjoy. We would definitely come back again, but I'd get something other than burger and fries.

The plain croissant was unfortunately a miss for me--but the bacon & egg papillon was OMG delicious... so much so that I ended up buying three. No regrets!!! The Versaille, Tiramisu, and Marionberry cheesecake were all delish and absolutely worth trying. We also tried the beignet rocher, marionberry cheese croissant, everything-but-the-bagel croissant, peach papillon, and the kouign amann apple--so many fun options, and overall a great stop if you love pastries and want variety. Service was a little hit-or-miss. The first time I visited, the server seemed a bit grumpy - especially while I was placing a larger order, but on my return visit, a different server was noticeably friendlier... maybe because my order was a little smaller

Even so, we were seated as a party of two fairly quickly, which was a great start. The highlight of our visit was definitely the service. Our server was absolutely fantastic--friendly, attentive, quick, and always checking in at just the right times. Honestly, 10/10 service and a big reason we'd come back. As for the food, I'd say it was solid. We skipped some of their popular waffle dishes and stuck with more traditional breakfast options. Everything was well-seasoned, the portions were generous, and we left full. Nothing really stood out as a "wow" dish, but it was a good, satisfying breakfast. The drinks were decent as well. The atmosphere is pretty simple and doesn't have a lot of wow factor, but it feels like a neighborhood breakfast spot where the focus is on good food and even better hospitality. Overall, a solid local place with outstanding service, and next time we'll have to come back and give those famous waffles a try.

While we couldn't get a seat on the patio (it was packed), we were able to get a table by the open glass doors giving us a somewhat distant lake view. Our server hooked us up with water and after our request, brought us some ice. We'd been out and about all day and was feeling dehydrated hence why we chose not to order anything from the bar. Off the appetizer menu we ordered onion rings and crab cakes and from the entree menu we chose scallops and salmon. Our intention was to share everything, which we did. The Mr. couldn't get enough of the onion rings with the BBQ dipping sauce. I liked them too, but preferred the dill sauce. The scallops were tasty and prepared pretty well although I prefer a heavier sear. The salmon was good, but I found the corn succotash to be slightly sweet. However the Mr. disagreed. He enjoyed the combination. Our biggest disappointment of the night were the crab cakes. Not sure if it was the filler or the sauce, but neither of us cared for it. They didn't taste good enough to finish, so I left half of mine We decided to skip dessert. Parking was a little tricky, but luckily we were there on a Sunday evening, so we were able to use the underground garage next door. At the end of the day I am not sure it was worth the 30 minute drive. YMMV
