I wish the people working behind the desk could have been better about recommending some of the donut flavors especially for new timers at Doughnut Land. The girl wasn't very helpful because she hadn't tried majority of the doughnuts there. They should make it a requirement for their workers to try the donuts so that they can offer their opinion and be able to speak to it. Delicious donuts. I love bringing my grand here. She likes the sprinkles and I like the buttermilk bar. We like to share a maple bar. The maple bars are dense and delicious with just the right amount of maple glaze. It's not uncommon to see the average person filling up a large box of donuts to go! Unfortunately it's in an old building. On our last visit only one of the bathrooms was working. The baking/frosting area can be viewed from a window in the hallway and it looks pretty old and dated and a little messy. read more

The guy there was awesome! So on a whim, I had decided to treat my daughter to her favorite jelly filled donut. Donut Land turned out to be the closest place. Still 7 minutes away, so I called them up. Yes, they have jelly donuts, and how much? Just one. When I came, the guy recognized me as the one who had called for 1 (one) donut. It's Saturday morning. My co-worker and I have to get to work pretty soon. To assuage the pain of working on Saturday, my co-worker suggests a stop here at Donut Land. I have to admit this brightens the day right up. Stepping in the door, I wonder if we've made the right choice. This is a bare-bones doughnut place: dozens of doughnut in wire baskets behind glass, a couple of busy young men tending to a long line of customers, and coffee pots and a soda machine. Yes, bare bones for sure, but the heavenly warm sweet smell and a cascade of freshly-made doughnuts put in the wire baskets right under your nose makes you forget everything and all that matters eventually is the doughnut. And such doughnuts. It's hard to choose, but I succumb to an apple fritter with cherry jam tucked into the crevices. Oh my gosh, warm and crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Dip it in coffee and you might have found heaven. Donut Land is spartan to be sure, but what they don't splurge on in decor, they plow back into their fabulous doughnuts. Everytime I have been here, everyone has been so nice and helpful. They are so generous and often throw in something extra. They gave us free donut holes on my daughter's birthday and today when they accidentally gave me the wrong donuts, they let me keep the wrong ones too. We love coming here. Tried this place for the first time. Got there around 8:30AM and basically their display case was empty so my bf and figured they just got emptied by this morning. We asked if there were any maple bars left and the employee told us no as another employee brought out a whole tray of maple bars. The employee helping us didn't even offer us one. Rushed us even though there were two customers behind us. Wasn't real friendly. Made for an awkward rushed experience. I have had Voodoo doughnuts, I have had Krispe Kreme - and everything in between. These are the best doughnuts I have ever had. The maple bars have a perfect texture, soft on the inside, it tastes like a home made maple frosting on top. These cannot be beat anywhere. Their fritters are also one of a kind. The prices are reasonable and they are open late. I challenge anyone to find better doughnuts in the area. You can tell they are home made and don't seem to have that "assembly line" type of make up that Krispe Kreme's have. You will not be disappointed. read more

These guys supply donuts for many stores and are open crazy hours. They get an extra star just for the fact that you can walk in on a Sunday evening at 7:15 PM and get a dozen pretty good donuts. Doughnut Land rocks! I try to limit donuts to a rare treat - maybe six in a given year. But if you're only eating them rarely, each and every one COUNTS and better be damned good. I tried a cinnamon roll here last week, and it was one of the freshest, most delicious cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I would absolutely go back here. So here's the thing, they have amazing donuts, no complaints on those. However, we just went to get some and saw an employee there without a mask in the main area replacing napkins, and then she went behind the counter, still no mask in sight. I won't go back after seeing a guy in the back smoking, then coming up front to help a woman out, then go back to his kitchen to continue smoking while making donuts. To recap, there was smoking in he kitchen while cooking and icing donuts, hand-to-mouth removal and replacement of the cigarette, and cash handling... All without a hand wash. The donuts here are okay, no better than a grocery store. Went in around 7pm the employee did nothing but mumble rude things under his breath in Spanish my whole transaction. I wanted a muffin last minute and he didn't even ask what kind and just grabbed one and when I asked for the kind I wanted he again said something rude about me in Spanish before giving me my total. I am not a donut eater, but my family is. They swear by these donuts. What I do love here is their cheese bagels. They are huge, covered in tons of cheese and are super soft. I buy a few at a time to keep at home and make sandwiches on them. They really are a special treat for my kids when they find them in their lunches. I can buy bagels else where, but when I get them here I hear about it. One time I bought a dozen donuts to take somewhere. I walked out the door and the box collapsed and my donuts went everywhere. I will admit I did think about the 5 second rule and picked them up quickly (remember I'm not a donut eater, so they weren't for me.) Then I realized I needed to go back in and buy new. You HAVE to try these donuts! So fresh- great recipes- super moist (in other words, not dried out)- We have been here probably 50+ times, and EVERY time the donuts are the same, as described above. Service: every staff person is quick, pleasant and accurate....EVERY time! Cleanliness: the cases are clean. the floor is clean. And in spite of the sugary atmosphere, we have yet to encounter a sticky surface other than in the goodness of the donuts. AND the bathrooms are clean!!! My work is so varied, so I feel privileged to run around to different parts of town. Anyway, saw donutland in Tualatin and had some time to try them out. I walked in and immediately thought, "oh no!", couple teenagers with their dad picking out doughnuts? Great, how long is this going to take?! It's spring break. Then an employee from in the back popped out and the line disappeared. So great service right there. I chose a couple cake donuts and a med. coffee. My blueberry cake donut was slightly greasy----okay. The chocolate cake donut was the same, but no real chocolaty flavor. The clerk only poured the coffee about 3/4s full, I asked for more. Coffee was actually pretty pleasant. No charm inside, couple old dudes chatting across the booths. Cafeteria type feel. $2.70 for two cake donuts and medium coffee-about average. I would return to try another donut and support a local business. I have the same question about Sandwhich, Sandwich, and it seems most folks actually pronounce it Samwhich. read more
