I got here a little earlier than usual (11:30 instead of noon 45) and saw ham and cheese croissants. I bought 3, got out to the car, my husband and number one son grabbed one each. Munching. Reverential silence, perhaps a small moan from my husband. More swift munching sounds and both of them, sitting in the front, cut their eyes around at me. No words needed. I went back in and bought the rest that were in the case -- 6. They were still warm, just the right amount of ham inside and melty cheese. Hands down... best donuts around. Makes Donut Country taste like Dunkin' Donuts. (Dunkin' Donuts taste bad) They are light, fluffy, melt in your mouth, and not overly sweet. They are much better than those sugar dipped things you get at Krispy Kreme. I would even put them above VooDoo Donuts. (If you don't know voodoo donuts, then you don't know donuts) And yes, I drive from Nashville just for a taste of these delicious morsels. I recommend the regular chocolate. This place by far is the best place for donuts. I try to go early on the weekends so l can get a better selection cause they sell out really fast. My personal favorite l would say are the classic glazed donuts. I could personally eat a dozen of them with some milk.They are just soft, fluffy, moist, and not too sweet. I'm visited my Murfreesboro for work and I just grabbed a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop and thought a doughnut would be great with the coffee, so I turned to my faithful travel companion, Ms.Yelp, and she recommended several local places. This place was tops on her list, and I just tasted why! The doughnuts were some of the best I've ever had. They were light and airy with just the right amount of flavor. I'm hoping they don't talk back like the Dunkin Donuts do. You know what I mean? Donuts that remind you for several hours later that you had eaten them. This place has a minimum charge of $5 on CC's, so you'll end up have to buy more than a half dozen (I bought 7 and have only 1 left, although it's about to disappear too). While I was paying I could see the young lady in the back making what looked like hot dogs wrapped with dough and cheese. Might have to come back for those! read more

The donuts are great-5 stars, but this review is based on the consistency of their product, ease of getting into the parking lot/shop from across the street is annoying-off a busy street; and the small parking lot. The family operates the shop; friendly service. We visit this place frequently. The size of the donuts seems to be a bit smaller after their recent family trip. Their donuts aren't overly sweet-which is why we stop in frequently, like Donut Country, or other chain donut places and are reasonably priced. They offer the basic or classic flavors though; not following new trends or new flavors etc etc. So don't go in expecting fancy donuts and get ugly. read more

It was obvious they had been busy because there were quite a few empty spots on the doughnut trays. I ordered the coconut and Boston Cream filled. My husband had glazed and maple frosted. These doughnuts are super light and SO yummy! My only complaint was the filling in the Boston Cream filled doughnut. It was more like pudding than a light filling. The Apple fritter was raw, the chocolate icing was funky and not even chocolate, the cream inside of the Boston was sour, and the jelly donut had a solid 1/2 tablespoon of jelly. While their prices are cheaper than competitors, it isn't even worth the listed amount. I had 1 and a half dozen of these donuts mind you. Well I went in and bought two ham and cheese croissants and a dozen mixed donut (for less than $10) along with coffee and milk for the kids. After hearing her rave and rave about how good it was-I wanted to get one but they ran out before I could get to the counter again. I wanted the famous coconut donut but they were out. The crumb cake donut I did get was delicious. The whole time we were there people were lined up for donuts!
