Mrs Jenny is the sweetest lady and her staff there give the best service. Their donuts are so good and fresh. When you walk in you see Mrs Jenny's smile greeting you and you can't help but have a great day after talking with her. She gives the best hugs and is just such a sweet light in this community. The ambiance is amazing because of the warmth she brings out. I love her strawberry donuts, the cherry pastry stick, their chocolate cake and the donut holes. read more

Ms Jenny's family owned & operated Donut Palace in Rowlett, TX is still the best little donut shop in Texas! Generations have loved this Mom & Pop donut shop on Scenic Drive, fans have their baby pictures on the wall here, and they now bring their own kids. Baked Kolache rolls, pig-in-a-blanket, and fresh ham & egg sandwiches, warmed & ready to go. Fritters, creme-filled pastry, also Bavarian creme donuts, and more! Ms Jenny and her helper Jessie are literally the sweetest people ever. The donuts, kolaches, spinach and feta bites are all so amazing. It's always such a mood boost to visit Ms Jenny! Just moved to town and was looking for a donut shop for a Saturday morning treat for the kiddos. The owner and employee were so kind and welcoming. The space is small but fixed up nicer than most donut shops are. The donuts were definitely quality and tasted great. The kids loved the character options as well! There will never be a better donut place. The kolache's are what you dream of and the donuts are amazing. I've been coming here since 1998 and every time I try another donut store. I am disappointed. Every time Jenny sees me, she knows my name and even asks about my family. Even though I don't live in Rowlett anymore, anytime I am nearby, I go out of my way to come here just to see her. My kids are now coming with me to her donut shop and it's surreal to see her even know their names and faces. But back to the food, the donuts will always be a hit - but the kolaches are a MUST. As far as ambience, the upgrades that she has done have made the place look brand new. read more

I love this place! Ms. Jenny is amazing and make every customer feel that they are part of the family. She boxes doughnuts for the kids in a simple yet extravagant way that each child is getting a delightful treat. It is by far the warmest most homey doughnut shop I have ever been to. They have chosen to use earth tones and keep mementos around the shop to show the community. read more

Jenni is AMAZING! Very kid friendly and just so stinking hospitable! She remembers every face and name that walks in the door! Seeing the reconstruction of the old look to such a beautiful little donut shop now, is such a delight to see her being blessed with! So many of us in the community come here and you can't help but want to bring a pic in to add to her wall collection! Great donuts and a wonderful owner. My daughter has been coming here since she was born so whenever we come out to visit her Nana we have to stop by. They have good Pigs in a blanket as well. There are a lot of donut shops in Tx but I recommend this one. read more

I don't know how this place doesn't have any reviews yet. They have obviously been there for awhile based on the massive amount of family and children pictures on the wall, likely of their adoring local regulars. The donut selection was ok but when I loosely lamented they didn't have one of my favs, the white frosting and sprinkles plain cake, the lady tending counter happily went in the back and fixed me one. The lady (I believe her name was Joyce as I kept hearing incoming customers say this name-keep in mind, I was partially asleep), literally knew almost everyone's name that came in the store when I was there (approx. 5-6 people). It wasn't obnoxious to where she ignored me or anyone else at all, it was just polite and full of friendly warmth. She asked customers how their families were doing, how the new baby was doing, etc....seeming to give and take updates from previous conversations had with these people. Impressive, memory and effort wise. They deliver prompt service with a smile and pretty yummy donuts. I had the aforementioned white sprinkle and some donut holes but everything else looked worth trying as well. They deserve high ratings for the service alone but as the donuts were also delicious, it's a solid four star for me. read more

I have been going to the Donut Palace for quite literally, over 15 years. The donuts taste amazing but the pigs in a blanket are what have owned my heart for 15 years. Every time I come out to Texas I make a point of going there at LEAST three times. Nothing can compare to the love you will feel when meeting the owner, Jenny. She has a wall COVERED in pictures of kids who have been visiting her, she remembers your name and makes you feel like part of the family. I've desperately looked for a donut shop that could compare but none ever have. I would travel across the country just for this shop. read more

My daughter and I stopped by after an appointment that she had nearby and I have to say our experience was a very positive one! If you live in this area make this your donut place to go. There was another gentlemen there eating his donuts and she used his name to say good buy and asked my daughter for her name. I have not had customer service like this from the food industry in a long long time! I left with a smile on my face and really good start to my day. read more

I have never written a Yelp review, but felt compelled to after such a wonderful 1st visit! This is a small, quaint shop w/ pictures of their customers on the walls & the most sweetest, charming, friendly lady behind the counter!! I was greeted w/ a warm "good morning" & smile as I entered. I had a rather large order & she disappeared into the back to grab fresh, warm kolachies & donuts & added many donut holes into our assorted box (which was beautifully placed together w/ care). I just felt so good when I left & I could see why there were so many people that frequent there!
