Yum, yum, yum, and more yum. I paid this place a visit over the weekend. I purchased a glaze twist, and an old fashion chocolate donut with coffee. One hour later I was headed back to the Donut Prince to purchase five glaze twist. These donuts remind me of being a kid again. They are so dam good it's unbelievable. You can't compare them to Krispy Kreme because, these donuts are moist, they melt in your mouth, and they're perfect. Next time i'm in LA I will always make a special trip to the Donut Prince. O and i forgot to mention the staff is very friendly, and personable. You gotta try these donuts, they are the BEST!!!! read more

I'm not a donut connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but I will say that Donut Prince is one of my favorite donut places! I found this place because it's close to where I use to work for the past 7 years. I passed by it all the time, thinking it was one of those donut shops that sold stale, days-old donuts. One day, I was talking to a coworker/friend who grew up nearby and he mentioned the Donut Prince. He said the place had great really good donuts and was one of his high school hangouts - just because the donuts were so great. This sparked my curiosity! So, I went one morning before work and everything's history from that point forward! I can truly say that of all the donuts places I've tried, this one is my favorite! Not to mention, they have a wide variety of coffees! You can also tell that the place is an old favorite - older guys come here in the mornings to have their donut and coffee. The walls are filled with pictures of celebrities who are or have been patrons (after all, this place is near all of the major studios in Burbank), too. The owners are an Asian couple who know me by now. There's a funny and interesting quote on the glass wall of their business that reads: "Don't get a divorce; get a donut!" I've watched a few couples take their pictures with that and thought "what a funny saying!" read more

I don't have donuts very often at all, but when I do, this is the place for me. And they always have a huge flavored coffee selection. The family that owns it is super friendly. Donut Prince is a legit shop. The donuts are good and inexpensive. A testament to how good it is is how may celebrities have pictures with the owner on the wall in the shop. It appears that being in close proximity to the studios has advantages. The one thing I'm waiting to try there still is the peanut butter bar. I will update after my next trip. read more

The saying on the outside is cute and catchy, but it's yet another regular donut shop. Hit or miss. Most of the time, you'll get one donut that's a little stale and a bit dry. If you're lucky, you'll get one that tastes a little more fresh. If you're passing by, by all means, pick up some donuts. I wouldn't go out of my way to get them. Well I ordered a dozen donuts, and I had asked if they'd give me 14 because they had a sign for Buy 6 get one free. So I though i would see if I got two extras. She said no because they sell the dozen at a lower cost than 12 individual donut as I think I understood her. Fine, I get it. So I get 12 and get home realizing that they charged me extra for 5 of my donut choices. As I picked them out she never said anything. So, I paid a couple of extra dollars instead of the $11 as their sign said. So, I was upset went back and he said well we will just change them for "Regualr" donuts. He began putting them back on the shelf. I said, wait, your putting them back? What if I touched them? He asked, did you? I said no, but you can't just put those back on the shelf. So then I just asked for my money back. What they should have done was honor the price and make sure next time they tell the customer, a certain donut is more. (There were not prices nor names next to any to identify "regular" donuts). But the thing that really got me and made me want to not go there and return what I had purchased was the owners not wasting them and putting them on the shelf AGAIN to be resold to someone else. That can not be sanitary. Sorry. No go for me. I wonder if my donuts had been resold to me??? Gross! read more

Donut Prince is one of those iconic places in Burbank that hasn't changed since I was a little kid. It's great to see a business that wasn't bought out and seeing that Mike is still running the joint. I don't understand all the hype. They have a small selection of donuts. Actually their line up of flavored coffees far exceeds how many donuts they have in the display case. The donuts tasted like old oil. Maybe offering more coffee than donuts is a good thing? My kid was the only one that ate his donut but he has eaten his poop so that should not qualify as a quality statement. We won't be returning. read more

This is my favorite donut place. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. I was without Donut Prince for 4 years while I was at school in Boston and Dunkin Donuts reallyyyy wasn't cutting it in the donut department. I definitely recommend the chocolate/glazed chocolate chip-filled donut (I think eating the whole thing at once would probably kill you, but what a sweet death it would be!). I also love their maple and chocolate bars and their donut holes. I had no idea it was cash only but the donuts are only like 85 cents each so I'm sure the change in your pockets would cover it. read more

Overall a solid donut institution. They have a coffee bar with about 18 different types of coffee, not bad a for a donut shop. I have personally had the glazed crumb, chocolate french cruller, and the apple fritter. Glazed crumb was very good but a little too cake-y. Apple fritter was also tasty, crunchy and soft on the inside. However, lacked some apple to it. The french cruller by far my favorite. It's most, sweet, and the amount of frosting is just perfect. Definitely recommend this place for donut fans. read more

I've been coming here with my dad for years as a kid and now just as an adult. The same sweet couple still runs the shop and they give you the freshest, most delicious doughnuts. I really wanted to like these donuts ... but I didn't. The vanilla creme filled tasted like it was filled with cheap white frosting, and the donut itself was pretty dry. I know that when you get donuts in the evening, they're not always as fresh, but I don't think I've ever had a donut so dry. The buttermilk donut wasok - just ok. read more

Ok. So my kids and I have been in here 3 times in the last 8 months or so and yesterday was the last time. Just the rudest customer service ever.I don't treat my kids to donuts often so they take an extra 3 seconds deciding if they want sprinkles or whatever. The lady was so impatient and acted like we were ruining her life! AND WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE!!! My boyfriend and I have been to this donut shop 3 times now, and every time we've gone it's been after 10pm. And each visit we've walked out with a very sour taste in our mouth. Each time we've gone we've encountered the same employee, and I can honestly say that he is the worst person I've ever encountered in customer service. It blows my mind anyone would even pay this man, because he is losing their business and customers. The last time we came in- we waited and waited and finally after he came out of the back he told us that they didn't have any donuts right now. We asked if there would be any made soon, and he just shrugged his shoulders. So we left. Tonight we walked in around 12am and like last time we waited in front of the counter for about 2 minutes. Nobody had greeted us- nothing. So we called out a "Hello" and got no response. Another minute or so we rang the bell on the counter- annnnddddd still nothing. We rang it again- and heard someone from the back shout something we couldn't make out. Another half a minute later the exact same employee (who we've unfortunately had almost the same experiences with before) walks out of the back and up to the counter. Doesn't greet us, doesn't ask what he can help us with, doesn't say anything- just stares at us. So my boyfriend asks how's he's doing, and again he doesn't say anything- just stares at us. So we just start pointing out the donuts we wanted, he put them in a bag and tells us the price. Then once we pay he goes into the back without another word. Donut Prince has definitely lost our business after 3 bad experiences. Which is a shame because their donuts are pretty good and they're close to home. But I'd rather spend my money somewhere I don't feel like I'm a burden for even walking through the door. read more
