No frills donut shop with a great selection of very standard donuts - which is perfect for many, including me. Service is friendly, quick, and efficient, and pricing is super affordable. Parking lot is small and busy, if you see a spot in the street nearby, I suggest you take it. And inside is exactly what you'd expect, so aside from a long counter by the window, don't expect any other place to eat. Suggest you do a box to go, or you be prepared to eat, enjoy, and leave.

One of the best donut shops. Service is exceptional. Sopanada cashier/server is an amazing and kind lady, ready to help and serve wonderful fresh delicious donuts and sandwich/bagel/breakfast combos you would want. Casual and nice, comfy and safe enough to sit and enjoy a quick break. Will get more donuts from here for sure.

Stopped by for a bite with the family, my daughter enjoyed the donuts, they were absolutely delicious. My mother and father enjoyed their coffee and I would highly recommend to stop by and take a bite!!!

Sam's fresh donuts is not what you think. It's WAY more!! Way! Sam's is a hidden GEM in Glendale. The best words to describe this business are as follows. FAMILY COMMUNITY VALUE FOR MONEY KINDNESS AND CARE This remarkable business is smothered with FAMILY who want to provide great food, great selection, kindness to all and genuine care. Not to mention the best part. VALUE FOR MONEY! 3 amazing daughters run this business. They are definitely the face of this 24/7 eatery. I use the word eatery because don't let the name fool you. They have a wide variety of food options and they are great! ESPECIALLY their croissants! (They are huge, fresh and priced perfect) The FAMILY makes this business! The FOOD makes this business! The SERVICE and PRICE makes this business. They definitely SERVE their community in a magnificent way. All three ladies are kind, caring, personable and share their pride in the family business, their food and prices. You can FEEL the difference between a grocery store and these wonderful humans kindness and care. It's not just a business to them. It's their everything. When you are in or around Glendale, California, definitely pay them a visit. You'll never regret it and you'll find yourself wanting to review them. #samsfreshdonuts

Amazing food and drinks, i would rather eat at sam's than a 5 star restaurant. I don't know why they still don't have a Michelin star.

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.

Freshly prepared and warm upon reception, loved the custard filling in particular and I strongly recommend everyone to try this at least once. We also got their perashki and it came out fresh and hot too. Total wait time was around 5-12 minutes
