I'll start by saying I didn't do my homework well enough and didn't realize dogs had to be leashed in the fenced in area. We drove 40 minutes so we could have lunch and our dog could hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather we had today. We could have went to a dog friendly patio closer to home had we known she was going to be sitting at the table. (We were the only ones there for the first 5 minutes, so I did let her sniff around) The fenced in area is very nice and extremely clean. Food was ok, just standard burgers and fries. Hate Craft 62 Cola, it's disgustingly sweet. Millie had her own little meatball hotdog, which of course she enjoyed! I added a little sea salt to step it up. The burger was m'eh. I was kind of disappointed that they charged for the basic toppings: lettuce, tomato, and onions. The coney dog was decent. A nice beef dog with what tasted like canned chili. The fried pickles were a total miss. They looked like fries and tasted like fries. Tenders were big and nice crunch to them. Breading was a little think for me. My dog and I had a great time at Doodle Drive-In during a road trip to Cuyahoga/Cincinnati. First we ordered from a carhop, who provided a menu to review before coming back to take our order. They have a portion of the menu specifically for dogs to order from! And the entire menu is a la carte. Our order came out pretty quickly but there weren't many people there at the same time. My dog enjoyed the Chow Chow: unseasoned meatballs on a bun with shredded cheese. I ordered the hangover burger which was large and good. The beef bacon was something I had never tried before and enjoyed. The potatoes on the burger was a bit much, but I had also ordered tater tots so that might have been too many potatoes for me. I loved that they had cream soda on tap - it was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was their ranch: it had a heavy dill taste. After we received our food we parked in front of the dog park area and went in to eat. The pet grass was clean and in great shape. There were so many tables and most had umbrellas you could raise to provide shade. There were a few other dogs and owners also enjoying the nice day and eating but plenty of space for all. I went when it was called Retro Dog or whatever and liked it better then. This new iteration was just ok for me. Seemed popular with the locals as it was a steady stream of people coming in. They appear to have live music Saturday evenings. The place was clean inside where we chose to eat, rather than in our cars. The workers were nice. My patty melt was decent enough, but the wife and boy did not like their food at all. The fries were honestly the best part of all of it. The salt potatoes and bier cheese tasted good at the time, but later on the cheese did not agree with me. I won't be back, partly because I live almost 40 minutes south of here..but also because I can spend $41 somewhere else and have a better meal. read more

Got carry out as our first try with this place recently. We got 3 burgers and a coney dog. The coney dog was good but the burgers, buns and all were burnt. When I say burnt, I mean they were black. The buns were black on the bottom, and the burger meat was burnt and dried out. I wish I had taken a few pics or just drove back and returned the food. Don't get me wrong, the meat seemed good and the portions were big but the cook just burnt the heck out of it. I may try it again as it wasn't a quality issue per say, just a really bad prep job. read more

My wife and I love this place! The food has been excellent and the service has been great--people are always cheery and friendly. We take advantage of ordering through the Toast app, which is really convenient for us during super busy work days. We've always found the portion sizes to be generous and the food hot at pickup time. We've come to enjoy the LGBT (lettuce, guacamole, bacon, and tomato) on sourdough as a favorite. The burgers have been tasty and juicy, and the fish sandwich is also a favorite of mine. The owners have done a wonderful job with the property and making it a welcoming business for all (including dogs). read more

I'm so glad we finally got here. We really liked Retro-Dog and were sad when it closed. But, Doodles has made us really happy. The food is amazing. Burgers are gourmet and HUGE!!! Mind you, it's winter so the outdoor space and drive-in may be great in summer but this is a review of dine-in at the restaurant. First off it's sit where you like and order at the counter. I tried the seasonal gingersnap shake, matzo ball soup (because where can you find it!!!) and a house salad. Others got burgers, fries, Italian beef special. Kids had chicken tenders/nugg and sliders/fries. Another of our group had chili and cornbread. Food was prompt, but it wasn't busy. Overall great flavors! We ate until we were full not stuffed.i enjoyed the large matzo ball soup which wasn't really big by any means. Doodle Drive-In is a new concept, at least in Cuyahoga Falls. We parked in a regular spot, meaning not car-service parking. We ordered at the window and took our dogs up to the gated eating area. It was about to rain and we had the place to ourselves! We still had to keep our dogs on their leashes, but that's to be expected. The picnic area was very clean!!! As far as the food, we got fried pickles to share and I got a cheeseburger. I don't remember what kind it was but it bigger and better than I expected! I'm sure everyone who opens a restaurant puts a lot of thought into it, but I'm certain I've never been in a restaurant that put as much thought into being therapeutic for its customers as Doodle Drive-in owners must have. Obviously you can bring your dog (at least in the summer - I'm not clear about whether dogs are allowed inside the restaurant), but there are lots of other feel-good touches too. There are several big screen TVs - but instead of blasting us with anxiety provoking cable news or even our favorite sports teams, one screen showed coral reefs, another waterfalls, a third coastal scenes - right next to pictures of doggies, and on the final wall - baby animals of all kinds! They also had plenty of sharpened coloring pencils and simple games, all with a soundtrack with a Caribbean feel. But of course the food was the reason for our visit. I had seen online that they had sandwiches with beef bacon on them, and I was intrigued. My sweetie got the chicken katsu sandwich that was the special of the day with onion rings, and I got the turkey club. He seemed to like his sandwich, and the onion ring I stole from him was really something special - extremely tender onion in a beautiful batter.... that only could have been improved with a little more salt.... Typically we split our meals, but I was unwilling to part with more than a a nibble of my beef bacon. My turkey club was divine, with multiple layers of thinly sliced (not overly processed) turkey, enough lettuce and tomato to make a small salad, and of course the yummy cow-sourced bacon! - all on perfectly toasted sourdough. And then there was the buckeye shake! So good! The MOST IMPORTANT suggestion I have for the owners/managers of Doodle Drive-in? Put the beef bacon on the menu! Like - by itself! Love this place! Great, fast service with a smile. My husband had a cheeseburger which was huge. I had a patty melt, cooked to perfection and awesome rye bread. Onion rings were great - love the breading - nice and light. We also got the potatoes with the beer cheese, and cheese was very tasty. I love the whole fenced in dog area but didn't bring my pup this time since we wanted to scout it out first - next time she's coming. My fav was my ores milk shake though - such a treat. (per the server there's extra fee for credit card & water but yikes). The food did not look anything like the pictures, there is no way that it was 'made fresh' - unless she meant fresh yesterday and then regrilled today the half I ate is sitting like a rock in my belly 3 hours later..... Fish sandwich was delicious. Falafel tasted so fresh! That sauce with the arugula and pickled radish and shallot is so good you could eat it alone, but don't! Get the falafel. Also had the chicken strips. Sorry canes, but this is a real chicken finger! And don't forget the simple looking but table favorite, salt potatoes! Beer cheese is awesome but you don't even need it! Went here for lunch on the recommendation of a co worker. I agree with other Yelpers that it is a bit pricey but my husband and I both ordered double burgers and they were HUGE - he got a classic burger and I got the smashburger .. we both said the same thing after a couple of bites .. the meat tasted almost sweet and we could not figure out why. We also tried 2 sides so we barely made a dent in our burgers. We got the onion rings .. they were edible but I doubt I would order them again. We also got the salty potatoes and they were way too salty .. I have had this appetizer before and it was not nearly as salty as these were .. the beer cheese dip was an odd thing to offer w/them and it was grainy as if the cheddar cheese was not mixed in fully. We may come back to try the hot dogs but will not hurry .. time will tell. read more

For about 5 bucks you can get a large and it's so good hot fudge vanilla ice cream and LOADS of peanut butter their cookies and cream shake is amazing too loads of cookies they don't skimp on the goodies here !
