I typically do not leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I was desperate so I ended up calling Dor Mar to repair the air conditioning at a rental home. The technician arrived right on time, diagnosed teh problem, and explained everything. He was professional and took less than 45 minutes to repair teh unit. I was very pleased with him. I received a bill for $757.00 and which included a $130.00 service call, which was slightly high in my opinion for 45 minutes of work, but I understand that charge. The 2 parts that were replaced were a combined $243.00. They were a capacitator, which I believe is a common repair in high heat and a Hard Start. I was able to fnd these on Amazon for less than $25.00 combined. Prior to writing this review, I called the shop and was told the high cost is due to the technician's knowledge and cost to keep parts in stock on the truck. I explained that I do not have a problem with an upcharge of an item, but their profiting was excessive. I also asked if the cost was for the technician's experience, why the $130.00 for the service call. I also used this company approx 25 years ago, and the tech lied to me then about the size of AC unit I had and needed. I could not in good conscience use tis company again read more

Got talked into a new system that was smaller than my previous system because I was told my system was oversized in 2024 also in 2024 i had my vents cleaned by dormar only to find out weeks later that he detroyed all my flexible vents with the machine which i replaced on my own. last summer 2025 I found out the system wouldn't keep up now 2026 my new unit wont turn on thinking that dormar would make good on warranty work only to find out they still charge you a 190.00 service fee to find that out. After dealing with thikis company and learning that there is zero accountability and their excuses is high turn over rate i decided to never use their services again. Came out to repair my refrigerator. Said it was complete but then it wouldn't hold temp. Tech came back out and said we needed a sensor that would take awhile. I said we'd wait. Meanwhile, they closed the warranty call out. Never came back. Now the refrigerator is failing again and they say the don't service them anymore and, it's not their problem, because the claim was closed. Terrible service... please read Scheduled DorMar to begin work installing tube heaters oct 14th. They provided a quote that I agreed to and stated the job would take 3 days. It is oct 27th and the job is barely halfway done. Their employees showed up oct 14th and did very little other than lay out the heater on the floor. Oct 15th they got the heater mounted and connected to gas. Oct 17th a technician stopped out for an hour to hook it up to electric. Heater still needs duct work complete and thermostat installed. I called them Oct 20, 21st and the 22nd. Each time they stated "technicians will be out tomorrow to complete" technicians never showed up. I called again today the 27th and they said the same thing. I told them I want to speak to the job manager. And he will not answer my calls. Dormar has been consistently behind schedule. They didn't even have the duct work I told them they would need when they showed up to the job. They have provided no updates or reasons for delay to me. And now the job manager will not respond to call or text. Stay away from DorMar ! Poor job management will result in delays to construction deadlines. I'm on the verge of cancelling their agreement to have an alternative company finish the work. read more

If I could leave minus stars I would. They did an original install of a new furnace & A/C unit a few years ago & it was a nightmare install requiring two or three days & different crews to get it right. Since I did appreciate them finally making it right and I was busy with work, I did do service contracts with them mostly just in case something else went wrong. Be aware that even if you have a service contract, they only give you one free service call then they charge $130/hr during service hours and $250/hr after hours even if you have a service contract! They also gave me an estimate to fix an outdoor faucet that was more than double what another plumber charged. The latest incident involved an inspection visit because the furnace had suddenly turned off & I was afraid it might happen again. When the tech came, he discovered it was likely due to another installation error. The office had offered me a certain rate for this visit, but the service tech failed to inform me that my credit card was still on file with the company (I had no idea it was b/c I try never to do that) & that it would be charged instantly; furthermore, they are now charging a service fee to use a credit card which he also didn't tell me. Had I known, I would have given the tech a check that day & avoided this nightmare. I had expected to receive an invoice, then pay by check but instead the next day I received an emailed invoice where they had automatically charged my credit card the full amount plus a credit card service fee. I figured it was a misunderstanding & called the office only to be told that it was unlikely that they would refund my credit card even if I sent them a check! They also refused to waive the service fee, even though I told the office I had no idea they were charging that until AFTER they had charged my credit card. I had my bank send them a check directly from my account telling them what day the check was estimated to arrive & that I expected to get my full refund including the service charge after they received the check. After I confirmed they received the check, I was informed the operations manager TORE UP my check & refused to refund my credit card! I then called my bank to dispute the charge. They were in disbelief the company tore up my check while also refusing to refund my credit card so the bank is disputing the charge. When I informed the office my bank was proceeding with the dispute, the customer service manager emailed me to say they were still refusing to refund the charge as it was "already processed". (?) They apparently also rejected my offer of refunding just the service fee (which is a very minimal amount by the way) to resolve the issue. i find this is just unbelievably poor and infuriating customer service, especially towards a customer holding a service contract on a unit they installed. Either that or they don't understand the basics of refunding to a credit card?? Fortunately, it's a small amount of money, but I'm writing an extensive review because I recommend you not trust this company with any of your money. in my opinion, they have horribly poor customer service and do not explain their payment or service policies well--I didn't find out their policies until after I paid them. I've since talked to other HVAC & plumbing companies so I now know that Dor Mar charges very high rates so I'm hoping I will help a few people avoid my mistakes. As a footnote, I found most of the service techs to be great, but the office staff and managers are just awful, in my opinion. We bought products (air conditioner, water tank) from Dor Mar, which were pricey but good. Service contract person was also very good. However, their marketing is aggressive and deceptive. If someone vulnerable like my parents were working with Dor Mar, they would fall for their tricky marketing. I am being billed repeatedly for a future contract to which I never agreed, even though they have clarified on the phone that I owe them nothing. I've had to mark these emails as spam. Trent the first guy was awesome. Came out and trouble shot the problem. Gave me the rundown on what was wrong, gave me estimates to fix it vs go with a new system. In the end we decided to get a new AC unit. Trent was great. The three guys that installed the new coil in the basement and the new outdoor unit were good. The 2 main guys knew their stuff and worked quickly and the third guy was definitely a greenhorn. The new guy sliced his hand open in a couple spots and I as a customer had to bandage and care for his hand. Overall they did a good job and were fast. The last guy to come out (Brad) and inspect the install work was terrible. I asked him to check the fan speed of the blower motor in the furnace / AC and I could tell he was frustrated that I asked. I said "well I'm glad you're here cause I didn't wanna mess with the wires and screw something up". To which he replied "well you can read a diagram can't you?". Insinuating that I was stupid and that it only takes reading a diagram to understand the wiring for a blower motors speed settings. After that he checked the speed of the fan and it was fine, but then told me the motor itself was covered with dust and crud. To which he then told me I'd need to clean that off so the motor doesn't overheat and fry itself. He then proceeded to give me the mounting screws for the cover plate and said "just mount the plate and screw in those screws after you clean it out" to which he then left. I had to clean off my own blower motor, vacuum out the blower motor, check the wiring myself, remount the cover plate, and then remount another cover plate. Mind you my wife and I paid $4,000 out of our own pockets along with our home warranty covering $2,000 dollars. The best part is that after he left me to fix / clean my own AC unit, we noticed him in the DorMar company van out behind another condo near ours, and it looked like he was dumpster diving through a large construction dumpster scavenging for things. He was out there for 4 hours digging through this dumpster. He left our job at 5pm and as I'm writing this (930pm) the DorMar van is still out there and he still looks to be going through trash. Now maybe I'm wrong and maybe he's on another job next door. But it's 930pm and I just find that hard to believe. read more

Fast service and needed a part that they did not have in stock. They have parts for 20 year old furnaces and newer, ours is older. Was told three days but took one. Each time I talked to anyone from the company their first concern was that I still had heat. Upon tearing it apart it was realized there was something else was causing our problem. This part was a fraction of the first and had to be ordered. A few dayS later it's fixed. About 300 less than anticipated, and had the technician for about 90 minutes total. I'd suggest just doing it yourself before using this company. To keep a long story short, called them to fix a pool heater a year ago. After "fixing" one issue, all they did was cause another one. I wish I had enough time and energy to share my family's entire experience with Dor Mar in Newark Ohio. I think what is most important people know about this company is they are infamous for 'up charging their clients' as well as giving misinformation in and effort to make sales. DOR MAR EMPLOYEES WORK OFF OF COMMISSION. They get a percentage of all sales and have sales goals. We had an air conditioner go out, and they replaced not only the one that went out but another that 'was about to go out' as it was very old and it was expected to be covered under homeowners insurance...... much to our dismay the claim was denied and the tech ( WILLIE who is know for these antics) had replaced our TWO units with top of the line cooling systems. This leaving us with a bill for nearly 12,000! We had to pay this entire amount out of pocket! We had another experience with Dor Mar when my husband over heard the tech talking to his supervisor (Chris) on the phone and he was talking about me the customer because I had complained about all of the companies inconsistencies among employees. They were also attempting to tell us wine needed an entirely new HEATING SYSTEM.... this all after we realized they were working off of commission.... and the tech who came out was .... guess who again? Yep WILLIE! Dor Mar operates with nearly no business ethics in our experience as well as in any encounters we have been made aware of to date. The are often misleading in their communication about what is going on with heating and cooling issues. They make hard sales which are long on promises and short on delivery. Many of the employees are poorly trained and unprofessional. When called to have someone come out they were very friendly. Seen that they had good reviews I thought it would be a pleasant experience due to my lack in HVAC knowledge, well I was WRONG. They Wanted to "fix" something that wasn't concerning and the real issue was not fully addressed. Then never called with estimate but instead got a phone call saying "hey we are on our way to put in your parts". Which was upsetting knowing that even them putting the parts that were ordered wouldn't fix and would be out more money potentially and another night relying on a space heater. Thank goodness for my gut and google. Fixed my issue for 170 dollars. Nope nope nope! We called and were supposed to get our "free one time service call", that didn't happen. The guy came; flipped a switch and said it was the compressor and that it was $1,300 to fix. My husband said we would talk about it and let them know. He then proceeded to research what else it could be and found out it could be the capacitor. So my husband called the guy who was at the house and asked him why he didn't check that as well and just assume it was the more expensive part? The guy said he didn't check it because the part didn't look bad. We had a friend come over who knew what they were doing, he checked and replaced the capacitor, it works just fine now. A $12 fix. So they either don't know what they're doing, or they're a rip off. And when my husband called to complain, the woman said it didn't matter if they didn't test everything. UPDATE: I can say with confidence that this was no simple oversight. They also, we discovered, lied about turning off the unit at the breaker before demonstrating how it "didn't work" to the homeowner, my mother. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They still refuse to refund the fee for the visit -- nearly $200. I cannot stress enough just how crooked these people are. ORIGINAL REVIEW: They are criminal. My elderly mother had them give an estimate for an AC unit that wasn't functioning. They told her she needed a new unit. She had someone else take a look and, in fact, she just needed refrigerant. Very Disappointed! Saw the good reviews online so I was hopeful that they were an honest company. Our furnace was not working so we called a few places and Dor-Mar was the only company able to come the next day, which seemed like we were off to a good start. They sent one technician out who determined that our circuit panel ($300) needed replaced. Again, so far so good. A second technician was sent with a circuit panel later that day, which he installed and then proceeded to tell us that the furnace was still not working and that our gas valve would also need replaced which would cost an extra $700, but that we might be best off replacing the entire furnace for $2500 as typically when parts in a furnace start to go bad, others will follow soon after. Luckily, the replacement valve that they said we needed was not available and wouldn't be able to be installed until a few days later, so in the meantime we had a friend who is a part time contractor stop over and take a look at the gas valve. He took a total of 2 minutes glancing at the furnace to realize that the technician from Dor Mar NEVER plugged in the circuit board!!!! He plugged in the piece missing from the circuit board, that was still in the box the contractor left behind, and instantly the furnace was up and running! Not sure if the technician was trying to scam us or just plain didn't know how to do his job, but I will, most definitely, always get a second opinion. read more

I bought a new high efficiency Coleman furnace and air conditioner from Dor Mar. The techs arrived on time, and spent the day removing and replacing the furnace in the garage attic of my condo, and the a/c unit outside. The furnace worked perfectly, but the new a/c was defective as shipped from the factory, and had to be swapped out with another new unit. There was a glitch with the second a/c unit, it was filled with too much refrigerant, which caused the a/c to periodically shut off. A Dor Mar tech quickly diagnosed the problem, and the a/c has worked flawlessly since then. I am happy with the dor mar team, they answered all my questions professionally, installed the equipment and kept things clean. I can recommend them without reservation. read more

After they came out and lied to us about our furnace we decided to have another company look at it. Dor Mar tech said we needed a brand new furnace and that ours was leaking Carbon Monoxide. Our furnace was only 11 years old. The other company fixed the issue quickly and easily for under $300. A plastic part needed replaced...very simple fix. No carbon monoxide leak at all. I am leaving feedback again because these guys seem to want to argue their case. You got caught trying to take advantage of a customer. No need to try and reach out to reconcile. I have had the very unfortunate experience of using Dormar more than one time, hoping I was just getting unlucky with them. No such luck (hah). Let's break down the jobs! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Job: Compressor Motor Replacement and Attic Duct Replacement ------------------------------------------------------------------ Quality of work was fine, but they are without a doubt the least organized company I have ever worked with. I've never once got a call back when they said they were going to call back. I've never got an appointment scheduled without at least 2 calls to their office. As I said, the work is fine, but they don't seem to communicate internally, and trying to get them to do work is like pulling teeth. There was a lot of phone tag, and a lot of "Wasn't Dormar supposed to call me 2 days ago?" moments. ------------------------------------------------ Job: Bathroom Vent Fan Exhaust Pipe Extension ------------------------------------------------ I won't get into the details here, beyond saying they ran an exhaust flex duct right across the top of trap door that leads into the attic, which is just a bizarre thing to do. Tough to get into an attic with ductwork on top of a trap door. And I've never had an installer tell me that they would have done something a different way, but their ladder wasn't tall enough, and Lowe's didn't have flex duct long enough, and hey, can we borrow some spray foam insulation? Come on, Wes. If you aren't equipped to do the job right, then LEAVE and get the stuff you need. After delaying this job two times, I would rather delay a third time than have you guys throw together a s*** job just to say that you got it done. We also got a rather disrespectful blurb from the technicians, Wes and Jeremy, on our last invoice. Apparently we told him to install the exhaust line in a way that would make it extremely difficult to get into the attic. Sounds like a great idea to me. And I don't think they thought that we would ever see their notes. I was pretty enraged, and not at all surprised by now. Reading these reviews helped me and also pre-warned me. Technician was 'uncomfortable' with my Rheem from 1998 and said that 90k BTU was too large for a 2400sq ft house. Wanted to replace it with a 60k BTU goodman 90% efficiency for $3500 all in, would only take about 5 hours. That is a $500 furnace for $3500! What a deal!!! I don't think I will be buying! I would not recommend Dor-Mar for HVAC installation, or for any service for that matter . Not only did Steve and his technician break the water line to my hot water tank, leaving me without water in my home for a day, until my husband fixed it, they drilled holes for the furnace in the wrong location and didn't install my AC unit, instead leaving the unit in my garage. Steve was supposed to show up the next day to install the AC unit, but was a no call no show until I called Dor Mar to complain. Steve called me back an hour later saying he was so busy with other jobs he would try to get my AC unit installed in a few more days. What company operates this way? Very unprofessional! Our home lost heat, early morning on Wednesday, January 23rd. My husband called Dor Mar at the open of business, that same morning at 8am. An appointment was made for the same morning. Two technicians arrived around 10am. Stevie, quickly went to work trying to start our gas fireplace in the living room. Garrett went down to the basement to diagnose our furnace problem. He was able to quickly pinpoint the cause. He informed me, that the part required is no longer manufactured. They could piggy back parts together that would fix the issue. However, he advised us to weigh the cost of the repair, the age of the unit (2000) vs investing in a new unit. He also, noticed we had issue with our hot water heaters, also from 2000. He showed me the residue of the flame, where it had burned outside the tank. He offered to replace the tanks for $2000.00. Or we could replace them both with a water less hot water tank, for a total of $3,000.00. The efficiency of the unit would pay for itself over time. After, weighing our options, we decided to purchase, a high efficiency furnace, tank less water heater, and duct cleaning. Total cost $8,900.00. The furnace would be installed that day, water tank, the next day. 24 hours guaranteed. Shortly, after leaving Steve called and offered to install a higher efficiency furnace, that they had installed incorrectly in another home. It would be a $600-$700 upgrade. I agreed to have that furnace installed at same quoted price. Alan and Bryson came later that day to remove our old furnace and install the new one. In the course, of installing the furnace, Bryson asked my daughter for her Snapchat. He instantly Snapchats her, while working. Then, proceeds to do so, repeatedly. This made my daughter uncomfortable in her own home. She blocked him from being able to Snapchat her. Ben and Brad show up the next day to install the tank less water heater at 8:30 am. They did not leave our home until 11:30 pm that night. They could not get the tank less system to work. Brad came the next morning, and worked well into the evening. He still was unable to get the tank to work. He suggested something was wrong at the meter. I called Columbia Gas, they sent an emergency tech out. He informed me, that the meter could not support the upgrades. After, many upset phone calls, and continued service technicians in and out from Dor Mar the issue still was not resolved Saturday. We could not get a phone call past the dispatcher. Justin and Garrett showed up on Sunday, and were here from around 1-4. They were able to get hot water to the kitchen sink, that turned cold about 15 mins after they left. We called Columbia Gas again. They came out and tested the meter. Someone had turned the pressure up in our meter. Columbia Gas turned it back down to the right pressure. Justin came back out after the pressure was turned down, and assured us the tank was now working. Relieved we went to bathe our kids. We turned the water on in the tub, it seemed hot and working. I turned the shower on and stepped in, it was hot, then really hot, then lukewarm, and then freezing cold. We tried running our sinks and shower the same time. No pressure in the shower, whatsoever. Monday morning, yesterday. Brad, Ben, and Justin show back up. I explained the situation at bath time. Justin told me, the tank less system is not for everybody. Like, what??? People would buy this, and have it work this way? We asked them to uninstall all the equipment they had installed, and configure our basement back to the way they found it. They did so. They, also cleaned our ducts and re-taped the furnace work done the day before. In the midst, of all of this we were told we would get help on the bill. They reduced the bill from $8,900.00 to $7,900.00(what they originally quoted for the old style tank) Nothing was adjusted for the inconvenience we went through, that we're still going through, 6 days later. I did not allow them to install the water heaters. We have another company here now, installing the same old style tanks for $1,700.00. That's $300.00 less. read more

My AC unit started making a buzzing sound & was tripping the breaker box last night around 11pm. Fearing the worst, I messaged them on Facebook to see if they can check it out. The technician called around 9am and was here by 10am today. He checked a couple things and found the issue right away. My AC was up and running in less than 15 minutes and was less than $110 total. I figured I was going to have to call off work today, but turns out I wasn't even late! We bought the maintenance plan and found out our AC was leaking freon and would cost $250 a pound to fill back up (looking at $1500 to do that). We had just done this about a year and a half ago with another company, so we knew he was on track with his evaluation. The AC was about 24 years old--and we didn't want to invest more $ in it; so bought a new AC. The whole process was quick and the guys were all great. I even called Steven to see about a more expensive model that maybe had a higher efficiency rating and he said the model we were getting (Coleman) was the right size for us--and had a great warranty and took the time to explain the ratings to me. This Company obviously does not know the Electrical code. I looked at an installation they did for a friend of mine. I'm a Journeyman Electrician with 30 years experience in the field. They left an appliance circuit with the neutral wire unhooked. Almost all connections were loose on the neutrals/grounds and the feeds from the breakers. In my opinion they were left loose and disconnected for a future service call. Also they changed the service panel to 200 amp but left the service drop and the service entrance cable the original 100 amp wire size instead of changing it. That's a direct code violation. In my opinion I would not use them for any kind of electrical installation. These code violations could lead to very serious faults and failures. No one should work on Electric without knowledge and the know how to install it. Obviously they don't. read more

This is a ripe off . Had an electric box updated , was a 100 amp. system increased to a 200 amp system .. Started have problems with low power & lights in appl. dimming. Called in another electric person to check out . After opening the electric panel found ground wires not corrected to panel, once connected , promblen went away . Upon further inespection found only 2 ground screws tight. This made me think i was seat up for another service call , and more money out of pocket . Also outside wireing was not upgraded to code . We installed a new thermostat. Problem was, it required the unused "C" wire (common wire). I could not find where to hook it up in the furnace so I had to call them for an after hours call as we were getting cold. They gave me a 2-hour response time. It turned in to a nearly 3-hour. I had to call them back for an update. They told me it would cost $139 for an after hours call. The guy seemed kinda rude on the phone and acted like he didn't want the work, even after I told him we were freezing. He only took it after I said, "you mean there is nobody trained to hook this up?" The tech that showed up was great. He had the wire hooked up in 5 minutes. The issue started when the tech then told me it would be $89 after adding a coupon he had. That turned out to be a lie after I got my bill. Then he texted himself my credit card number to run it the next day. That made me really uneasy. I offered him a chance to follow me to the bank around the corner. I literally called every heating guy in the area and they were only 1 of 2 that returned my call. The other company was telling me how to do a bypass and didn't really understand the issue and didn't want to come out. So, Dor-Mar had me in a corner. Don't know if I will use them again if the staff isn't on the same page and until they find a new way to run credit cards. read more

Beware of this Company! Had an issue with my furnace. Columbia Gas had redone the gas lines in the area. Columbia Gas shut off the furnace because there was a minor leak. I called this company and was told that the furnace was old and it needed to be replaced by the only way to put it a unsure novice employee. In no way a technician. He told me this before he looked at the furnace. He quoted prices on what it would to replace the furnace. Still, at this time hadn't touched the furnace. After giving me a history lesson about my furnace, he proceeded to "look" at the furnace with a cell phone flashlight! After fumbling around for about 5 minutes he said that a part needed to be replaced. And because of the age of my furnace it would be hard to find. Trust me I'm not an HVAC person, but I've seen enough furnaces in my lifetime to know that most gas furnaces have gas valve that connect to the gas line. So, with that being said he said that it an antique part. And might not be able to locate one. However! less than an hour after he left he found one! Lucky me. It was going to cost $1000.00 for this gem! Well I needed it and it was cheaper than replacing the furnace. This same genius came and put the part on still and flashlight that didn't work and he once again pulled out his old reliable cell phone light. I let him use my flashlight much more brighter. Once he said he was finished. I had a simple question for him. How will the door go back on if that is sticking out like that? He seemed shocked that I wanted the door back on the furnace, like I said earlier I'm no HVAC person. But if the door was on the furnace when you started ??? This was sad beyond belief. Horrible service! We called for them to fix our ac. The man who came out was rude, and didn't even TRY to fix the problem. He kept trying to sell us a new one instead. Even though he did NOTHING, he still charged us $90 and left. We called another business the next day (DYE HVAC) who fixed the problem quickly, were courteous and polite, and only charged us $150 for the whole ordeal. They said there is no way we need a new ac at this time. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! read more

Dormar came out to disconnect and move then reconnect our heat pump due to us needing to excavate around our foundation. The heat pump and furnace were working flawlessly prior to Dormar touching them. Since having it reconnected, our 6 year old heat pump now needs either a $2500 repair (which several companies have recommended against) or completely replaced due to an electrical short in the compressor after having the refrigerant completely leak out. After having multiple other companies come out for second, third, and fourth opinions, we have discovered that the lines were not evacuated properly prior to reconnecting the unit which allowed moisture to get to the compressor and short it out. Dormar's own technician admitted when he found the compressor issue, that the system "running dry" (that is, without refrigerant) likely caused the compressor to go bad. Dormar management blatantly avoided our calls until we threatened legal action. When they finally did call us back, their proposal was $500 off the labor. Not good enough. First of all, I don't trust Dormar to ever touch a piece of my equipment again. Second, we are looking at a minimum of $2500 up to $6000 in work and equipment because of THEIR ERROR--and they offer me $500?! We now have to spend $6000 for a brand new heat pump to replace our previously working, fairly new unit because Dormar didn't do their job correctly. Since going through this, we have quickly learned about Dormar's reputation and it is not good. They are a snake of a company. There are many good and reputable HVAC companies in the area to work with instead. We didn't do our homework beforehand, and it is costing us big time. Terrible company. Dont use DorMar, go CARE if they service your area. My furnace quit and it was cold so I needed someone fast. DorMar offers same day service. They charge a $170 annual maintenance package for this service. Then any parts or additional labor charged on tip of that. Tech couldnt fix it and said someone would have to come back to rerun vent. The office said they couldnt tell me what this would cost bc they didn't know if it would be one or 2 guys and each guy is$85/hour!! So my husband fixed it. Then a month later it quit working again so i called DorMar thinking that initial $170 might cover this. They came back out, charged me another $160 and ONE hour later it quit working again. My husband called the tech who admitted seeing a sag in the vent line that he didnt fix and said was possibly the issue. My husband fixed this himself and the furnace has run fine since (2 weeks). However DorMar will not return our calls. Today, the secretary actually said the manager is here this time (had claimed no manager was in for the previous THREE calls) and I will put you right through to him. He let it go to VM! Heres what I noticed in the 2 men who came out: theyre exhausted and frustrated. The same day service is great but these guys cant wait to get out of your house. They dont care if they fix it or not because the next time you call, someone else will come anyway. If you get CARE in your area, use them. They're absolutely excellent. read more

Need to buy a part for my furnace got charged 3 times as much as it cost online.Everyone in the office seemed to be in a bad mood.

I would not recommend them at all. I bought a service package from them last year when my AC wouldn't work. Before looking at anything except a couple of wires, I was told I needed an entirely new AC. When I pointed to the capacitor and asked if that could be the problem, he reluctantly changed it and it worked. But... instead of putting it in the bracket he retrieved it from he decided to just duck tape it to the unit. Then I was told I would need more freon and was charged more than double the cost. That was all fixed but now after the appointment for the season check up on the unit which I had already paid for in the service package was canceled by them I am told that it has expired. However, when I first called today they said they could send someone out in a couple of weeks. It was not until after I said the air wasn't cooling down that I was told my package had expired now and it will be $169 to send someone out. I said no thank you. I received a call about an hour later from them offering to send someone out for $79. I said no thank you. Then they said $50... I shared that I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you go with Dor Mar... pay attention to what you are being charged and what work is being done. read more
