Chicken Enchiladas (3) with Rice and Beans $13
    Kay M.

Small parking lot in the back. There's street parking in the residential area. Apparently they make everything fresh to order. Which means it usually takes 15-20 minutes for the food to come out. They have a good amount of people coming to dine in and well as take out. Saw several people picked up orders placed ahead. Recommend doing that next time since the wait can be a while. Got the chicken enchiladas (3) with rice and beans. The enchiladas were $8. The rice and beans were $5. The enchiladas were really good. A bit spicy, but good. The rice and beans were good compliments to the enchiladas. I wasn't hungry, but I kept eating cause it was so good. I appreciated the staff wrapping the container in ceramic wrap, which prevented the food from spilling everywhere.

Randomly found this spot on my way to work ! Not only was the customer service good but it felt like I stopped at a family members place to get a quick bite. Food is so authentic and can always appreciate a home made salsa. I love that I got to choose from a large or mini burrito. I hate going to places where the food is overwhelming

A restaurant down the street ignored me waiting for a table so I drove away and found Dorada Restaurant. I am so glad I did. They have a simple menu with only a few breakfast plates prepared in the traditional way. My Spanish is limited to food (la cuenta for favor!) but the ladies were friendly helping me order. I ordered the chilaquiles plate. It reminded me of a chilaquiles plate in Mexico. It had all the elements and streaky fresh scrambled eggs.!I can't wait to try Dorada for lunch.

We drove in from Vegas early Monday morning & wanted a breakfast burrito before we checked in to our hotel for our vacation! Very cute little spot in a small strip mall of sorts. Very limited parking. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Lots of yummy options. House salsa was yummy!

Best hidden gem in garden grove! Delicious authentic homemade Mexican dishes without taking a trip down south.

Quedamos decepcionados.

    Enchiladas Verde 5/5

One of the best Mexican restaurants I ate at. Very authentic. Some of their dishes are actually better than those from other popular Mexican restaurants. The outside looks unassuming, but they have regulars coming in and out, so you know it's good. They don't speak a lot of English, but we pointed to the food we want and communicated just fine. They do close at 6pm, so head over early if you're planning to try them out. Enchiladas Verde 5/5 - The dish comes with enchiladas, rice, vegetables, cheese, and really good salsa. The enchiladas are moist, flavorful, and enveloped in lots of sauce. Every bite is wrapped in deliciousness. Costillas en Salsa Verde 5/5 - Pork ribs in spicy green sauce. The pork is tender and melts in your mouth. Fresh tortillas 5/5 - These are great homemade tortilas. Fresh, hot, fluffy, and soft.

Parking can be in the plaza they're located in or on the side streets of where you turned in. We came in on a Sunday morning and waited to be seated. I noticed a slow trickle of people coming in, eventually, filling every table. It was an easy, simple Sunday morning. The energy of the restaurant was very relaxed and not stressful at all. The tables and chairs are fairly old and well used. Our server had little to no words for us, which was fine. She gave us a kind look. We had ordered a breakfast burritos, eggs, bacon, coffees all around, and an omelette. The food came out a few minutes later. Very quick, but hot and crisp. I wasn't a fan of my latte and their house coffee was a bit watery. I did enjoy my breakfast burrito and bacon. My dad enjoyed his breakfast platter, too. My fiancé's omelette was okay and wasn't fantastic. We finished our meal rather quickly and left. It's nice to have a local breakfast restaurant that has been well loved by the neighboring residents. Definitely will be back again.

It had a Filipino sausage called longanisa which is slightly sweet, hash Brown, egg, cheese, garlic mayo, and banana ketchup (which is a popular Filipino condiment). As it came with a side of potatoes it was a very filling dish best shared. I also tried the lychee panacotta which was also delicious. It sat in a bowl of chia pudding with granola and fruit. The juice from the lychee may have slightly sweetened the pudding which was a nice surprise. The service was friendly and easy to get assistance.
