Came here with a large party on a Tuesday night. When I walked in, I was amazed by the expansive menu. They had every Mexican food item I could think of, including some American classics like burgers and chicken nuggets on the kids menus. Since I couldn't decide what to order, I asked the cashier what I should order. One of the chefs overheard this, and came to the other side of the counter and told me all about his special carne asada. Because of this, I ordered the California burrito with the carne asada. Before receiving food, the restaurant gave us 2 complimentary plates nachos for our large party, which was super nice. This place has the nicest service I have ever seen. Everyone here is very nice. The California burrito was huge! I split it into 2 meals because I could only finish half. Like the chef said, the carne asada was great. Simply Amazing!! I really enjoyed having breakfast here at Los Sanchez restaurant in Garden Grove. The service was fantastic and the Authentic Sonora Mexico cuisine was amazing. The Al pastor was definitely worth the ride here. You have to try their great breakfast special Chorizo and eggs with fresh guacamole and potatoes and refried beans. Everything was delicious and taste so fresh. Definitely worth the visit and the price is just right. Lots of free parking and only a few minutes from the Great Wolf Lodge too. Everything we've tried so far was all delicious! Tacos, quesadilla, enchilada, burritos, chimichangas, ceviche! They even have breakfast items like pancakes and French toast! And if you have picky eaters in your party like we do, well they have French fries, burgers, grilled cheese and more! The micheladas are also yummy. I haven't been here for a while, but everything was just liked I remembered. Order from the counter and they call your number when the food is ready. Everything is made fresh. My wet burrito was huge. The enchiladas had a side of lettuce with sour cream and guacamole. I like seeing pictures of their food. All the employees are really nice. Omg total let down.....I was having high expectations for this, but sorry to say it disappointed today I got number 24 tacos dorados plate it was soooo bland. Just boiled meat no flavor whatsoever. Whatever, the steak burrito was plentiful and the price was right for it. The food was nothing to write home about, but it was competently prepared. The atmosphere here is very authentic and old school. I got the chili verde and sadly it was a bit depressing as it didn't have any fatty meat. The portions here do justify the price even if the wood was just okay. The chips and beans were good. Also got the pina aqua Fresca and it was a little too sweet for me so I only drank half. We were craving tripas, and my cousin likes this place, so we came here for the tripas plate and also got the Camarones Empanizados. We came to order to-go on a Saturday evening, and it wasn't too crazy busy. The tripas were extra extra crispy, too crispy for me. Everywhere else, I always order tripas and ask for it extra crispy, and they're all still less crispy than how they make it here. The tripas were all crunch, no chewiness to it. I'd like it have some chewiness to it. The fried shrimp was good. It would be nice if it came with some sauce/salsa. My cousin kept complaining about that; she really wanted salsa with it. The food is average at best but they give you big portions so you will be full for sure. They have the best customer service I've ever experienced at a small owned restaurant. Went there tonight. Tried to order online but kept getting an error message when I tried to pay the $40.42 for two dinner plates which were both two tacos, hard shell, rice and beans. One was for asada and the other carnitas. So I called it in and asked them to include some habanero salsa and to please pack plastic utensils and napkins, which is a choice offered on the online menu. When I got there the order was ready and the bill came to 42.42, which seemed odd since the online order came to 40.42. When I asked about this I got some meek excuse that because carne prices went up they had to raise the prices a little but had not changed it yet on the online menu. Got home and opened my dinner and my oh my what a salad lovers delight. Two tacos with some cheese with lettuce everywhere and a little meat hidden below. There was lettuce everywhere. Under the beans, under the rice, around all the edges of the box. The food was completely cold. Not luke-warm but cold. The chips were stale and tasteless as were the beans, rice and tacos. Del Taco would have been an upgrade and it was a Tuesday so I could have had better tacos for about 5 bucks. This place has gone the way of most food places everywhere. I ordered a wet burrito and everything tasted like it was canned food. The beans, the guacamole, the salsa on the wet burrito, the red and green salsa( the pato sauce) was very low quality. Also my bf let me taste the chorizo and it tasted like the smell of dirty armpit. I'm pretty sure it was raw. The food quality is in alignment with Alberto's or those cheap Mexican food places. The prices are way more expensive. A wet burrito and two sopes were $50. I don't under how their rating is what it is and why it's always busy. This was an old hangout spot with my friends and I decades ago at their old location and I finally came back. I'm so happy to still see (and hear) some of the same workers! They have a huge menu so it's always hard to decide. Just had to go with my gut that day. I ordered the carne asada torta which comes with fries and a half cheese quesadilla and I ordered an horchata. So the half cheese quesadilla was shocking big but I managed to devour the whole thing. I only at half of my torta which was also delish. And fries are always good! The horchata was great and had to get a refill which isn't free. There's some good vibes here! I drive past this place often on my way to work and I didn't even realize it. It was very quiet when we went with a few others tables inside. Food was hot and came out quick. Went here for Taco Tuesday, and I agree with many reviewers that the meats here are on the bland side. Where is the seasoning? However they make up for it with great PORTIONs of meats on the street tacos (bland meats with no seasoning beats NO meats by miles), and the included chips with guac, beans and cheese is also a big plus. Three tacos + chips and I was stuffed to the point I wasn't hungry for dinner until 9PM. Tripa was both crunchy and chewy, which was perfect. $3.99 for a small Coke with non-free refills feels like their way of making up for Taco Tuesday prices though. I wouldn't mind coming back here once in a while, especially for the tripa, although it wouldn't be my first choice for Taco Tuesday. Still got Carnitas Don Alberto for that. read more

Very clean atmosphere chili bar and very kind counter servers. I ordered Carnitas rice and beans. The carnitas were delicious freshly cooked with that great crispy outside shell. Tender juicy inside. The plate was $18.50. I also had a large cook. The plate came with chips frijoles and guacamole and flower tortillas. My wife might have paid for the chips. I recommend this beautiful little restaurant especially if you have children. The staff super friendly. I asked for a to go cup and they took my cup and put it in a to go cup and topped it off. The beef soup amazing and breakfast great with huge portions. If you like Lengua( beef tongue) nothing compares to Los Sanchez! It is fall apart tender and comes with a choice of red or green sauce, I get half and half. It is enough to feed 2 easily! This is a big place. Stand in line to order. Huge picture menu.
