Angelo's #2 on Chapman in Anaheim is hands down my favorite place to eat fried chicken when I'm in town. The food was absolutely delicious. Between the six of us, we ordered the turkey club, chili cheese fries, a couple different hamburgers, and the fried chicken. Everyone was happy with their meals and everything was on point. The burgers were flavorful, the turkey club was stacked and satisfying, and the chili cheese fries were exactly what you want, messy, cheesy, and delicious. The only hiccup was one order of fried chicken, which unfortunately was extremely dry and just not cooked right. That said, I've eaten the chicken here several times before and it has always been crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Because of that, I truly believe it was just a one off and a rough night in the chicken department. I'm definitely not taking any stars off for that. They also have one of those soda machines where you get a ton of drink options, which is always a fun bonus. It's nice having so many choices instead of just the basic fountain drinks. The service was great. Staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. It has that diner atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. Nothing fancy, just good vibes and really good comfort food. If you're in Anaheim and craving fried and want to grab a quick bite this place id definitely worth trying. read more

This is not a review I wanted to write, but after a recent experience with my children, I felt it was important to share. My family and I have been regular customers at Angelo's 2 on Chapman in Garden Grove for quite some time, which is why this visit was so surprising and disappointing. From the moment our food arrived, things seemed off. My French toast was extremely dry and had an unusual taste. The eggs were cold as soon as they were served, which initially confused me since the air conditioner was blowing directly above our table. The butter was also cold and wouldn't melt on the food, so I had to ask the server to melt it. My daughter's fries also looked different than usual -- they were very thin and overcooked. We've eaten here many times, and the fries have never been like that before. Another thing that stood out was when the server placed the forks and knives directly on the table instead of on a napkin or plate. My daughter even mentioned that they looked dirty. At the time, I didn't fully process all these red flags because we're regulars and this isn't the level of service or quality we're used to from this restaurant. However, after we got home, I remember telling my wife how dissatisfied I was with the experience. Unfortunately, a few hours later my daughter became sick with food poisoning. This situation really put things into perspective for me. Looking back, there were several warning signs that something wasn't right, but familiarity made it easy to overlook them in the moment. Because of this experience and the health concerns that followed, I can no longer feel comfortable bringing my family here. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and looks into their food handling and quality control so other families don't have to go through the same experience. read more

My go-to is the 1/4 lb hamburger combo. Service is quick, but you can call your order in if doing pick up. One of my go to places when I'm in Anaheim and I don't want a sit down restaurant. This is like a diner/fast food type atmosphere vibe. I think the staff is nice and helpful every time I come. I like the food (even though it can be very greasy: I.e. fries, onion et, zucchini strips, etc.). I really love having a steak sandwich ($14.99, $19.99 meal combo). I also enjoy the pastrami and some of the breakfasts like the French toast. There is ample parking and it is near a Vons grocery store. They do have handicap parking. As far as I know, there are no discounts other than if you want a combo. Very heavy food. Even the gyro sandwich was big! Check it out if you are in the neighborhood. Unfreaking believable. How can a staff of 3 (three) screw up a simple order of the French Toast special and the pancake special. Surprisingly they were able to get the hashbrowns and orange juice correct, 02) Pancakes, eggs scrambled, bacon. When both meals were brought to the table they were immediately sent back. They were instructed to read the order, get it write and bring it back. The same order came back the only difference was that they took off the whipped butter. The order was sent back a second time. I even asked if the have a hard time speaking and understanding the English language I'd be more than happy to provide a translator. Our meal came back a third time this time it was correct with a slew of "I'm sorries". You're not sorry. You're sorry because you got caught. I that the Angelo's in Lake Forest would have NEVER screwed up and order like this. What can be improved? Hire a staff that can speak the English language on a 2nd level. There's quite few Angelos out there but this one has never disappointed me with the quality of food. My go to is always the chili cheese fries(no onions) and side of ranch. I occasionally add a cheese burger or a bacon cheeseburger, good size burgers and delicious. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and always on the move. From the cashiers, cooks and the servers, they move quickly and work together to get those orders out! They're usually busy, seating inside and outside don't sit empty for too long.
