ONE STAR for the one day the polish lasted. I received a Classic manicure and pedicure with massage & hot towels, etc. As much as the technicians pushed to upgrade to shellac because the shellac lasts longer; I refused yet still left with a bill of over $100 not including tip nor my daughter's bill. The classic lasted ONE DAY. The polished began pealing away from my nail bed and chipping. The pedicure (to the date of this review -6 days later) has started to chip now. I returned on Monday (day 2) to request my fingenails be re-polished to be told theres no warranty on non-shellac polishes. However, I could pay $12 for re-polishing of my nails. My disappointment and need to share is because where the loyalty? If the polish is not warranted to last, then let it be known; throw it out and update your rates to include the $12 polish and let it be my choice to support your business or not. read more

This is a wonderful little place with a great service menu. I've had pedicures, mani's and recently had the hair scalp spa. It was very nice! I am not a fan of their nail polish- it was always seems to lift or chip. I do not get shellac - just basic. Prices are as competitive as every where else. read more

The quality of our manicures was disappointing. Builder gel was requested, but the technician applied poly gel instead. When asked whether it was builder gel, she lied and said it was builder gel. The tech somehow managed to get gel polish everywhere without cleaning up. They also cut me with a file, which I didn't even know was possible. We were charged for cuticle care when clearly no cuticle care was done. Would not recommend going to this place if the expectation is quality. My go-to place when visiting Houston! Love the selection on the cocktail menu and the fact that you can get up to 2. The prices are pretty fair and got 20% on the day I went. My only complaint is that the last 2 times I've gotten my nails done, I felt like they rushed and didn't clean up the polish well around my nails so had to go back and ask them to take a closer look and they sometimes give me attitude. i went with a friend today to get a pedicure done. i am never coming back. the technician name is bo or ball. she was the absolute rudest and loudest person there. not only was she trying to upsell me on pedicures that I told her i didnt want to do, she also kept on talking to the other tech in viet and laughing in front of us. i felt like i was being bullied in highschool all over again. extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. if i could give 0 stars I would. it was our first and definitely our last. read more

I was holding for a bit for this review just to see how my nails held up. This was a good experience for a manicure in terms of quality of nail! So far it's been about 2 weeks and I haven't seen any crazy chipping. The employees were upfront on price and charges to remove previous nails which I appreciate. I did think that their basic manicure is priced a bit higher than surrounding competitors, however it's still in respectable range. In the future I'd probably go for the most basic manicure for a nail reset and skip the hand massage as it didn't really seem necessary for me. I've been coming to this place for a little over 2 years. They do a great job and the techs are amazing. The reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because of their up charges and loyalty program. My last visit I suddenly was charged extra for shaping my nails, mind you I was getting the same shape done. I was told "if we have to cut your nails then that changes the shape and we charge to shape". Like what?? You want me paying $50+ and not include cutting my nails?? The upcharges totally negate the 20% discount they offer. On top of that, if you come in on days that they offer the discount you're not allowed to earn points on the loyalty program. But I'm literally still spending $100+ each visit. Unfortunately this is not how I want to experience getting my nails done. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I was so disappointed by this salon. They are already so SLOW and on top that they matched their rude, disrespectful, and full of attitude nail technician to the mix! Not once, twice, or third time but four times! It was the fourth time that I had to go talk to the manager who was kind and apologized but that nail technician NEVER apologized. Just disgusting! First with their "policy" of giving the price upfront which is fine to clear misunderstandings while at the check out counter but the fact that she knew the client paying wasn't there she just abruptly disclosing it to me not knowing who I am. So unprofessional. And when upon asking why the price is this for a child she began to say the prices are upfront in a very condescending attitude. Let that slide whilst i explained that it was not needed and I'm not the parents or who's paying. Still her responses filled with attitude did not stop. Then her and her co worker who was attending to the pedicure started talking in their language which we ALL know they are talking so much nonsense and bs about the customers. I proceeded to say how there's way to know what they are saying through devices now available which didn't stop them. Again highly unprofessional and flat out rude!!!! We had shown her a picture showing her the design we would like and she continued to do a ugly thick French tip that many of us know is not on trend especially for a teenager who follows the trend more so than elders. On disclosing this detail her huffing and buffing began which lead to deciding the nails to be in the dissatisfaction they were but I suggested a solution where she commented "makes sure this is what you want because I asked the client (mind it the client is 11 and her FIRST TIME GETTING HER NAILS DONE!) who doesn't know better. She was quick to show the price to how much it will be but not the quality of her less quality work to someone who was right beside her to make sure this is what looks good. It looked like a 25 year old hands on a 11 year old. Out right horrendous workmanship. She also had an attention when I mentioned the 20% off mon-wed and her response was yes on main services.. uhmmm I'm sorry charging a child $90 for her manicure I believe that is a "main" service... again SOOO much attitude!!!! I asked her name and went to the manager who was kind and apologized but who knows what action will be taken. It was my nieces first experience and Dorado nails definitely failed miserably!!!! ASHLEY is horrible and didn't even know how to do a proper gel x service. Highly disappointed! Think twice before visiting! Save your money because they are not good! I came here because the technician I have gone to for the last 6+ years switched salons and I followed her! The prices are reasonable for the services offered, it's a large, brightly lit and clean salon offering lots of different options. They do offer actual cocktails while you're being pampered, unlike most places which only offer wine, which is a nice touch! The only drawback is it's in a strip center with several large businesses and parking can be a bit tight, sometimes having to walk from quite far away. Still, I continue to go here and would recommend them! read more

It saddens me to write this review. I've been going here about 2 years now. I love my nail tech. But these prices are outrageous. They squeeze every dime out of you. Charging for takeoffs, double the cost for shellac and chrome than other salons. Today I paid $140 for a very basic mani/pedi. The 20% discount is only off the basic service, not all the add ons. Though I enjoy this place I am NOT happy at my last experience. To the point where I had to notify the front desk to remove her from ever doing pedicures. I should've known something was off when she was aggressive from the first time she touched my feet. She had an interesting energy but I chose to overlook it. It was until she was scrubbing my foot to remove the calluses that I got upset at how rough she was. And this is the result. And it hurts to walk. I decided to return for the third time because the experience and service were great previously. For this time, I have to say... I'm a little disappointed. I did mani and pedi this time. Great service on the pedi... however, I can't say the same for my mani. I felt the process was a little rushed and she wasn't detailed enough. It wasn't until I left and noticed a cut on my pinky near the nail bed. The corner of the nails were sharp and not smoothed out. She filed the coating so much that I can see my natural nails and area where there isn't polished/colored. Manicure quality is hit or miss depending on the tech. Consistency is quite poor. After some of my visits I'm sometimes very impressed or very dissatisfied. I do like the vibe of the salon, it is spacious, they are accommodating, and wait time is often super minimal and mostly none. If it wasn't as close by, I'd visit a lot less frequently but it is definitely more of a convenience thing for me. Prices are also slightly higher than other salons in the surrounding area. read more

Beautiful nail salon in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area. I happened to have a random Thursday off and wanted to treat myself to get my nails done. My first impression was that the space is very well organized and clean. The staff is respectful, attentive and very friendly. I deducted a star only because I felt that they could have been a little more thorough with my pedicure; I ended up having to do some follow-up trimming/filing a couple of days later due to pain from an ingrown that was not addressed. In my experience, the salon has been clean, the staff have been friendly, and the nail technicians are very accommodating and helpful when choosing colors. The reason I am rating this a 4 star instead of 5 is due to price transparency. There have been multiple times where I was quoted a price on the phone or upon arrival, but then charged a higher price at the register. The interior design was clearly done by some owner who really, really understood the clean lines concept combined with the fact that it needed to mirror more of what we call the Elizabeth Taylor concept. What that means is simple chic to the point, but on topic on budget. the issue with this design is is that it's extremely large because the commercial real estate space in that space on average will cost at least $10,000 a month because of its strategic location in the West U. So for those of you who can't afford their services, these services is by far top notch. When I say they are half-a$$ers, I'm not kidding. My initial review after a couple of visits was glowing, however upon several disappointing visits, I have to say the service has since then taken an awful turn. I have given them chance after chance, after chance to provide better service. It has been easy to walk-in to get an unscheduled service. The size of the place is huge and it's nicely decorated. The issue is the unskilled nail technicians. Pedicures have been okay to goodish. The dip powder application on my fingernails has been a hot mess. I am not writing this after one or two bad applications, it has been several. Several. They use the incorrect top coat for powder nails and after two days the top coat rubs off. I have been getting powder nail color many years and this place is the only place that I've had this be a repeated issue. I have had to return 2 to 3 times to have shoddy wort fixed after many visits. The powder nail color has lifted from my nails at the base after a few days. The powder color has chipped at the tip after a couple of days. The shape has been ridiculous at times. I have had to return several times to have nails repaired due to crappy applications. One my last visit, before the nail tech removed my previous powder and tips, I showed her the one nail that was shaped how I wanted them to be and she said she would do them that way, however when she applied my tips and shaped my nails, they were very square and looked like they were fresh out the tip box. Also, a couple of nails had big blobs of top coat, and I asked for it to be smooth out, the technician was clearly annoyed at me pointing this out to her. Note: prior to my saying something, she was catching her own sloppy work and redoing it without me saying anything. For example, she applied the top coat and then removed it from my thumb nail a couple of times. When I approached the front desk to pay, I was asked how the service was; I showed her a couple of my nails that were bumpy and grainy like sand was on top of them. Her response was to tell me that the manager said they will continue to do my pedicures, but will not do my fingernails, because I'm so picky. Yes, I am particular. If I'm paying for a service, I don't want it to look like it was done by an unexperienced child. Their response to crappy work is laughable and ridiculous and nope, I wouldn't give this place a penny to do my pedicures. It's ludicrous for them to suggest that I return for pedicures. I. Will. Customer service has room for improvement. When I walked in, I asked if I could finish a regular mani/pedi within an hour, and was assured I could. I was directed to choose a color in the room at the back, but no one guided me or told me where to go after that. I had to return to the counter for instructions, and then the receptionist walked me to my chair. The pedicure was fantastic; however, the manicure fell short, as it seemed the nail polish didn't fully cover each nail. One of the staff members from the reception desk, walked around the salon twice, seemingly checking to ensure everything was running smoothly. However, she never made eye contact or asked if I needed anything while I waited for my nails to dry.
