I left my dogs in the care of Pet Palace on Thursday afternoon and picked them up on Monday. When we arrived home on Monday, I immediately noticed one of my dogs had a very swollen, painful and inflamed side belly. After a trip to the vet, the vet said it appeared that something had pierced her skin and that developed an infection. She also had a high fever. My pet had to be sedated so they could drain and clean the infection. When I called pet palace to make them aware, they said they "do daily inspections of the dog and would have to check in with the employee who examined her to see if anything looked off". I do not understand how any reasonable person or animal lover would not be concerned by the appearance of my pets side belly. I can't even imagine how this could have worsened if we did not pick her up on Monday. It is very concerning to me that pet palace does not seem to actually check on the animals staying there and that they don't have any proper documentation of these daily checks. The employee said all she could offer was an apology. I will not be taking my pets back to pet palace and would not recommend anyone else leaving their animals in their care.

My dogs are my #1 priority and I wasn't going to leave them with just anyone. When I got there Gary gave me a tour and I was really impressed with how clean everything was. There was lots of room for the dogs not to feel cramped in their run and they also had access to outside. He plays with the dogs and walks them daily and treats them as if they are his own. My dogs both warmed up to him really fast and hardly even noticed when I left-which is rare! He even let me park my camper at the place which was totally above and beyond. When I came back everything was quick and easy. The prices are incredible, and if I ever come back through here I am definitely taking my dogs here. I was more than satisfied with everything!

Fast forward a couple days and they began calling my emergency contact because our little girl was sick with something intestinal! I thought it was just related to the food they were giving her since it was a different brand. Our emergency contact lived 3 hours away and we were on a cruise. So she decided to wait until next day and if it wasn't better she would go get her. After a trip to vet we found out it wasn't food related but an intestinal virus that she caught and now she passed it on to her little dog that got very sick. After vet bills, paying for them to board, and expenses of emergency contact I spent more on our pooch than our cruise. I would not recommend using this place. I wish I would have gone with my gut when I saw the other dog poop. Needless to say, I'll be looking at a different option for boarding in the future.

WRONG the next morning (Friday) we get a call as we are driving to Florida, that they found some blood in our labs stool, he was eating and drinking so maybe a little stress, so we continue and say keep an eye and call the vet if things get worse, the next morning we get a call we are in Georgia, they call to tell us they found our german shepherd was found dead in the kennel, they said his stomach was blotted so a twisted stomach, we were devastated, so we call our vet to take care of the cremation of our boy he was 9 years old, in good health he was a sensitive boy, we thought wow things happen but there was no signs of any issues with him, so we ask how our lab was doing they say he is doing well and they will move him up front and give him more attention, well I call later to check on him and find they didn't keep the boys in the same kennel! So our poor boy died alone and his best buddy never knew he died or could have closur, we come home 3 days early we have to ask to have our lab moved to a kennel with a camera so we could check on him. We get back pick up our lab, my wife talks with the manger she explains how pissed she is since we asked for certain things to happen and it didn't which the extra stress could have cause some of our German shepherds issue and could have lead to his death, we are not saying this is the cause of it but it didn't help. The boys were not even close so they couldn't see each other. The manger tells my wife he understands!! NO you don't understand I wanted to know how this happens that we booked this with specific details and that doesn't happen! He said we was going to check into this and deal with it, which this happened 4 days ago and you still don't know, that's BS! I think he thought since they didn't charge us and they paid for the cremation, they were off the hook, my lab is home not understanding where is buddy is and never got to say goodbye and our boy died alone, all because they couldn't follow direction! We've tried other boarding facilities and our girl comes home miserable from her time there. From the moment we took a tour at Hayden Run, I knew this was going to be different. They took such great care of our girl, and I can really tell that the employees love their work and treat each animal as their own. Our pup was able to run, play outside, cuddle, enjoy the sunshine, and relax without the concerns of being surrounded by other dogs in a really loud facility. They gave her meds without issues, took care to make sure she ate, and loved on her. I chose the adventure package to ensure she would have all the time out and about as she could and that included getting a picture of her each day. When I tell you that I could see in my girl's eyes that she was so much happier there, I mean it. Their care, attention to detail, and just overall quality of experience is worth every penny. I am so grateful to have found Hayden Run!

She took my phone number, name, my dog's name to confirm. I then emailed over the weekend and called twice to confirm. Today they call me and say I have no reservation at all. I am first time customer and have vacation planned and not sure will find boarding now for my dog before I leave this coming weekend. I advised that I would probably not use their services going forward because of this experience and they said they understood. Just wow.

I brought in my two English labs, Amber and Honey Bee, for nail trim and dremel. They are 4yo and 9yo, respectively. I have taken them multiple places for nail trims and there has never been any issue with them. Monday I was concerned when the person only took Amber back alone, then when it took nearly 10 minutes and the person working the desk went back "to help her." I could hear her yelping. I probably should have left with Honey Bee when Amber came back to me, but I had already paid, and quite frankly, was shocked when they said she didn't like the dremel. Honey Bee also took awhile, apparently she was also "quicked" at least 2 times. When she came out she was very gimpy on her back paw and continued to lick it when she got home. To make all of this worse, when she brought Honey Bee out she apologized and then said that she "wasn't a professional." I expect that when I am paying $50 (and I always tip well, even that day) for my dogs to have their nails taken care of (typically a 10 minute total experience that does not involve them getting injured) I am paying for professional services. I had called ahead to see if a groomer were still there and I was told that "they could do their nails." I specifically asked for a groomer! Now I'm worried that my dogs will have issues getting their nails trimmed because someone injured them who should not have even been working on them. I had to wait to address this issue because I was so upset. My husband was livid! He had bought a dremel for me to learn to do their nails, but I was afraid of hurting them so I continued to pay for their nails. I'm concerned to see how they do the next time they need their nails trimmed, but it won't be at your location. For the sake of all dogs, don't let people trim nails who aren't professionals.

We had a typical dog incident; during that process, the owners and staff were incredible (as always)! They show respect, authenticity, action, and follow-through. This daycare is great because there aren't shared toys and extra items that often help spread normal canine viruses, etc. The concern about Kennel cough can happen with any dog anywhere because the vaccines are not 100% effective on all strings of viruses, but I will say that this daycare takes extra measures by not having shared toys that can increase this risk.

They always come home happily exhausted from the fun they've had. I also use them for boarding and have been very happy. I love that PAD is cage-free, and that Sophie and Oliver can stay together in a nice, spacious room with their own beds, blankets, and toys. The boarding cost is all-in and includes daycare so by the end of the day, the pups are worn out and ready for sleep making the "boarding" less stressful for them. I can't imagine going back to boarding where they are cooped up 24x7 except for a couple of walks each day. The team responds quickly to messages requesting updates during boarding, which is very much appreciated, and they go out of their way to post pics on Instagram so I can see Soph & Oliver while I'm away (see pics below). I do pay a few bucks extra for exit baths when they board, but it's well worth it after a week of playing ALL day. They come home fluffy, clean, and very happy after their "vacation." If you're looking for daycare or boarding, owned and staffed by dog lovers, definitely check out Play All Day. I have a daycare/boarding facility less than five minutes from my home, but I feel strongly enough about PAD that I'm happy to drive the extra 20 minutes to get there.
