We passed through town on a 14 day road trip with our dog and kids. Our kids really wanted to see the zoo and we needed a place to leave our dog. Katina agreed to let Boomer stay after seeing his records and report cards from our doggy daycare in PA. We were a little nervous leaving him at a new place but Katina was wonderful. Boomer had a great day, she sent us photos of him swimming and playing and when we picked him up he was tired and happy. Thank you Katina! If we ever return to Ohio we would be happy to have Boomer stay with you again! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place!! first off they took my uncontrollable puppy and had him walking not dragging on a leash they've had him in a play mode with other dogs..which he always acted like he wanted to eat they're face off the way he'd carry on.. he's also sooooo tired from playing when he leaves there he's calm when he comes home which means he not getting into to trouble chewing or barking..I swear they are the Dog Wisperer..I had a Vet tell me he needed behavioral modification soon or he was headed toward being put down before he got to big to handle..I new he was a sweetheart but I couldn't find someone who saw what I saw until K-9 connection..I luv everyone there..you won't be disappointed!! read more

I can't stress this enough- be CAREFUL bringing your dogs here if they like to play. The whole backyard is gravel and these photos are just from one day of daycare. My poor baby's paws are all torn up. Please take your dog somewhere else without such harsh gravel outside. It's not worth it. read more

This business is AMAZING! The owner is onsite and 100% involved. The staff are awesome. They actually play with the dogs! The play groups are supervised. There are inside and outside play areas. Dogs are monitored and given rest periods during times of extreme weather. Fresh water is always available. My puppy started coming here 4 months ago and she just loves it. She is a different dog - better socialized and calmer (for a Beagle). Highly recommend. read more

I was nervous when this business was sold last summer but the new owners under the new name AOKO-K9 Connections and under the management of Katina our wonderful. They really care for my dog. They understand his personality and his likes and work with him and communicate with me how his day went. I cannot say enough about this business and the care they take with my dog. My dog Tucker has been going to K9 Connection for the past 2 1/2 years. Until last week I had nothing but positive things to say about the facility and the staff. I'm writing this negative review due to how this current situation was handled. I want other people to be aware of what occurred and want the staff at K9 Connection to learn from this experience because it was handled incredibly poorly. On Wednesday February 15, 2017 I took Tucker to K9 Connection for daycare. After work I went to pick him up when Sharon met me at the door. She told me that Tucker had gotten "into a tiff" with an 11 year old dog and Tucker had a "scrape" on his leg as a result. It was played off as a minor altercation and the staff joked about how Tucker lost to an 11 year old dog. I was told that he continued to play with the other dogs and was acting normally, assuring me there were no major issues. Once we got home I inspected Tucker's leg more closely because he was starting to limp on it. Tucker had two scrapes and his leg was noticeably swollen. I decided to wait 24 hours to see if the swelling would go down. I became increasingly more concerned when Tucker did not eat or drink anything that night. The next morning, the swelling had gotten worse and Tucker refused to put any weight on his leg and I had to force him to go outside. That morning (2/16/17) I texted Sharon asking for the other dog's shot records as I wanted to make sure the dog was up to date. I received a very informal email that had the other dog's shot records typed out as opposed to a PDF copy sent typically by a vets office (as Tucker's were). I felt this was unusual and suspicious. I took Tucker to the vet that afternoon to find out that his leg was severely infected-- the vet stressed how lucky Tucker was that the infection had not reached the bone. I sent Sharon a picture of Tucker's leg and told her what the doctor said and very little sympathy or possible solution was given. I want to STRESS that I was NEVER contacted about this altercation, NO PAPERWORK was filed about any injuries and I was NOT told that Tucker had bit the other dog until the next day when I began asking questions. The staff's story continued to change as I became increasingly more frustrated with the level of negligence and unprofessional procedures. First, (as stated previously) I was told this was a minor "tiff" THEN, I get informed that Tucker "rushed" at a gate toward the other dog, bit him and would not be allowed back if it happened again. AGAIN, I WAS NOT INFORMED PROMPTLY OR ACCURATELY UPON PICKUP. Additionally, I asked for the opposing dog's vet's number so I could verify shot records from the informal typed out email, I was given a number that was for a RESTAURANT! I contacted the staff to inform them in case of a mistake and the issue wasn't acknowledged Fortunately, Tucker is doing fine! He received 2 shots, Antibiotics and pain medicine! I didn't receive any texts from K9 Connection until Tuesday, (2/21/17) when Tim texted me. The text message informed me that they had taken a vote and Tucker was not allowed back in their facility due to his "barking" and the safety of other dogs. This incident was the FIRST time that Tucker has ever shown any aggression at their facility or apparently an issue with "barking". Due to there being ZERO paperwork on the incident, ZERO acknowledgement and ZERO staff with a straight story and timeline, I'm not even sure which dog started the altercation. The text I received stating Tucker wasn't allowed back was rude and extremely unprofessional! I am disappointed and upset at how this situation was handled and that my dog was potentially put in harms way, especially when I have yet to receive any official shot records for the opposing dog!! The staff simply did not want to deal with the issue and didn't want any resistance or conflict from me. I've been a loyal customer for years and Tucker has never had an issue, which is why I have been so blindsided by this situation and the staff's lack of responsibility. This experience has unfortunately shown me how the K9 Connection company and management handle difficult, unfavorable situations and have no problem shifting blame from themselves. I would warn anyone thinking of taking their pet to this daycare and to be aware of the possibility of what can happen when staff chooses to take the easy road out and attempt to sugar coat obvious acts of negligence. read more

I have boarded my dogs here for many years and they have also received training. What I love most about this place is that the owners are on site and the dogs get lots of play time. There is a very large outdoor play area that is fenced into various sections for various activity levels. The play time is supervised so I have piece of mind that my young dog Lenny got a lot of play time, while my older dog Clyde got to hang out with the low activity dogs. They also have several indoor play areas as well. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owners. The are very accommodating to my dogs special needs and schedules. read more

Unfortunately I can not recommend K9 Connection. I usually don't write reviews but have had such contrasting experiences with dog care I felt I should. The Good - K9 Connection was always very flexible with my work and travel schedule. My dog received plenty of exercise and socialization with other dogs. The Bad - My dog consumed 3 lbs of pea gravel in one day at K9 Connection. The following 3 months were consumed with surgery bills, vet appts, and extensive care. The owners of K9 Connection initially offered to help with the bills but then got a lawyer and denied responsibility, actually claiming my dog could die on the premises and they wouldn't be responsible. I accepted that accidents happened and moved on, glad my dog was finally healthy. I felt like I should share my experience after having such positive, professional experience at another dog day care in the area. There are plenty of options in Columbus and dog lovers should choose wisely! read more

I have never been so pleased with a boarding experience than I was when I picked my dogs up from K9 Connection! Working in the veterinary field, I am familiar with the exercise and enrichment needs for dogs. All 6 of my dogs! They were exhausted when I picked them up and the least stressed I have ever seen them after boarding! The daycare / playtime that is included with the boarding charge is a steal. Most places charge so much extra for 2 minute walks an no real interaction or exercise. I know, because I've worked at them! The staff is great and the facility is clean. I strongly recommend them!! read more
