Ordered here for the first time after seeing the viral rainbow dot cakes. It was completely filled with buttercream and it is not something I'll ever order back. We also ordered their donuts that were completely stale.

Dortoni's makes the best Black and White cookie in Long Island (that I've tried). The B&Ws are freshly made, or were when I arrived. The white (vanilla) was my favorite on this cookie; it tasted good and had a great hard-ish shell. I liked the black (chocolate) too and it smelled amazing, but the flavor was a bit too rich. Rich size, uneven frosting, frosted on the correct side.

Love this bakery, been going here for many, many years. It's always busy for a reason. My favorite and main item is the large napoleon cake they make. Have not found anyone that compares, and we have tried several throughout the years. Great selections, line does move fast as they have a good system.

Dortoni Bakery is an old school Italian bakery, in Levittown. Family owned since 1976. This was my first time at Dortoni's, it certainly won't be my last. I live in Brooklyn, trust me it's worth a trip. I have absolutely fallen in love with Dortoni's. It was extremely busy, but the wait time went quickly. I spent my time looking at all the incredible goodies that filled the display cases. It was so hard to choose since, everything looks mouthwatering. They have the best black & white cookies, Napoleon's, cannolis, rainbow, cookies, and pignoli cookies. Their breads were delicious, as were the tres leches cake. They had beautiful Pride cookies too! Thank you Dortoni's, for making life sweeter!

Dortoni has been in business for a few years, they are always known for their neutrino design and taste. The service is quick and efficient especially where there's a line out the door. Typical Italian bakery on Long Island. Minus 1 star for the sloppy writing on my cake, I also did not get to see it before i left so it was pretty embarrassing to present this cake to my sister. Wish they did better sadly.

Once upon a time, Dortoni Bakery of Levittown was my go-to place for cakes whenever I didn't have time to bake them myself. Over the years, I've made several purchases for various celebrations and even referred many customers. This year, my retired mother was adamant about ordering a cake for my birthday, which was last weekend. Together, we placed an order for Dortoni's red velvet cake, trusting them to deliver the exceptional product we'd always received in the past. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. The cake we received was nothing like the vibrant, bright red velvet cakes we were accustomed to. The flavor was completely off--it did not taste like red velvet at all. Instead, it resembled a blend of carrot cake with a dull, unappealing dark red color. When I returned to town, I contacted the bakery to express my disappointment. The manager, Rudy, asked me to bring in a slice of the cake, which I did. Without even tasting it, he insisted it was not carrot cake. My birthday evening had already been ruined after discovering this poorly made version of what should have been a classic red velvet cake. Rather than offering a full refund or full store credit, I was only offered $75 of the $150 spent--or the option to have another red velvet cake remade. I found it unreasonable to expect that I would trust them to remake the same cake after they mishandled the original order and admitted that this particular cake batter is not even made in-house but purchased from a third party. Customers choose Dortoni for authenticity, not outsourced products and poor quality. Rudy said he would contact his leadership team to see what more could be done and promised to call me the following day. That call never came. After calling the bakery multiple times with no answer, I finally called from a different number--someone picked up but immediately placed me on hold and never returned. I was forced to waste additional gas and time visiting the bakery in person to follow up. I waited over an hour to speak with the manager, received no apology for the wait, and was met with dismissive, condescending remarks. To avoid prolonging this ordeal or causing a scene, I reluctantly accepted the $75 store credit--though I told them I would likely give it away because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I wasted gas driving to the bakery twice, and even had to cancel a session with a client to deal with this situation. This is a matter of principle and fairness. I do not believe I was compensated appropriately for the distress and inconvenience this has caused me. The photos below shows only a fraction of cakes that I've purchased over the years. The poorly made red velvet cake is also depicted below. Dortoni Bakery has certainly lost a loyal customer.

Absolutely amazing They were able to help me out in a pinch and cleared this masterpiece in lightning speed. Thank you so much.

If you have a sweet tooth, this bakery is your dream come true! Located in Levittown off Hempstead Turnpike, it's sure to have something to please even the pickiest dessert lover. The nicely lit exterior and bright signs warmly welcome you inside. The minute you step in, the massive display cases overflowing with goodies are sure to put a smile on your face. The selection is endless, everything from cookies and individual cake slices to beautiful custom wedding and birthday cakes. One thing I noticed is that prices for the items aren't clearly marked, which can be a little inconvenient for customers. I purchased a small variety of cookies and macarons. For a small box containing about 12-15 cookies and 6 macarons, the total came to $33, pricing is calculated by the pound. Everything is kept clean and organized, which I always appreciate and love seeing. Right now, they're offering a nice assortment of holiday treats, including beautifully decorated gingerbread houses, which are very impressive. While this isn't a spot I'd visit weekly, it's the perfect place to satisfy a craving for freshly baked goods whenever I'm in the area

Great bakery but every time I come in here there's only 1 or 2 people helping customers at the counter. Not worth wait if!

During our first visit on a Monday afternoon, the store was fairly busy. When we reached the checkout, the cashier offered no greeting, no communication, and rushed our order through the register. What surprised us most was that there was no assistance with bagging our groceries. Having worked in the supermarket industry myself, I found the lack of customer service and basic courtesy disappointing. We left the store confused about whether customers are expected to bag all of their own groceries, as no one explained the process. Because of that first experience, we assumed this was store policy and were prepared to bag everything ourselves during our second visit. This time, the cashier was somewhat friendlier and at least greeted us, but the checkout process felt very rushed. We had 43 items and were actively bagging our groceries while my wife completed payment. Before we had finished organizing and bagging our purchase, another customer was directed to the checkout lane behind us and began moving our items aside to make room. The customer appeared frustrated, and the situation made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. Once again, there was no assistance from the cashier and no explanation of how customers are expected to manage bagging while the next order is already being processed. What made the experience even more frustrating was observing several employees elsewhere in the store appearing to have free time while customers at the front end were struggling to keep up with the checkout process. If the store's policy is for customers to bag their own groceries, that should be clearly communicated. If it is not the policy, then additional assistance at checkout would greatly improve the customer experience. We understand that retail is challenging and that stores must operate efficiently. However, customer service, communication, and courtesy still matter. Based on our first two visits, the checkout experience felt impersonal, rushed, and unnecessarily stressful. We hope management will review the front-end operation and consider ways to make the checkout process more welcoming and customer-friendly for both new and returning customers.
