We got the regular cheese, garlic knot crusted, tri color pizza with seitan on top and it was excellent! Very filling with the garlic knot crust! Staff are very accommodating and friendly. They finally reopened! Now under the name Vinny's Pizzeria and Ristorante. Same owners as before, they closed for about 6 months to renovate their location and revamp/update their menu. Same flavors but slightly different menu options. Still have plant based and regular options. Additional charge if you pay with credit card and the menu lists the difference between cash and card prices for each item. They still have indoor and outdoor eating areas. Went around 730 pm, on a Friday. There was one customer ahead of us, and after they were done ordering, a call came in for an order, which took about 5 minutes to complete before we were acknowledged. Vinny's mom was manning the register and phone, she is such a gem and sweet woman. Only plant based pizza left was plain and Margherita, but she went and spoke with the staff and secured Mac and cheese and white slices for us! We also got garlic knots, regular jack daniels slices and 10 piece order of cauliflower wings, mild. All together came to just under $44. Vinny's mom shared they did the renovations all on their own and proudly showed off their work. Definitely a great small business to support. They got busy but all customers were patient and understanding about waiting to place orders. Would have liked to see more pizza options, both plant based and traditional. Outside w'just enough 'crunch' & inside perfect combo of cheese, spinach, and PERFECTLY cooked crust w'ZERO the doughy uncooked taste so often inside a pinwheel! Wish I'd gotten more than one! Brought home a Jack Daniels Slice & an Eggplant Parm also perfect when heated up in a HOT Oven [550*] on a preheated cast iron skillet for just a few min. This is the secret of take home pizza! They're way too heavy handed with the oregano and basil in my opinion. The vegan mozzarella sticks are too gooey, not stringy like real mozzarella. The best vegan slice I've had is the upside down Italian but once again too much oregano. Service is always very friendly. Two vegan slices with pepperoni added on and vegan mozz sticks $25. Someone posted a picture of this thanksgiving pie on social media and I had to try. I literally live about an hour away from here so I made my bf pick me up one of these. Totally worth the drive! This may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's like a littl bit of thanksgiving in every bite. The pie consists of mashed potatoes with vegan turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce drizzle. We were very excited to have another vegan pizza place to try so we went in starving! The restaurant is a classic order at the counter pizza place with many vegan options and slices to choose from. It all looked good but we ordered the buffalo chicken and the chicken parm vegan slices, vegan ckn wings and The Alex hero which was vegan meatball and vegan chicken parm. Yeah I'm not sure why 2 people thought that was the appropriate amount of food lol! The pizza was good, I love their crust and the ingredients. My only negative about it was that they were really skimpy on the toppings. Possibly just an off day because I read through the other reviews and no one had mentioned that before. But the crust was above average for Long Island Pizza and for that alone I will be back! The "chicken" wings were ok and we loved the vegan ranch that came with it. As far as the hero goes, we both took a couple of bites because we were full but agreed that the meatballs in it were very good but the chicken part was not good at all. I had seen this place plenty of times while driving by but never had the opportunity to place an order. Just recently I was craving pizza but was "over" the other pizza spots in the area so I decided to pull up That Pizza Place's menu and check it out. First of all the menu is far more than just pizza. They have wings, pasta, tons of apps, etc. They also have an entire vegan menu which also includes pizza. Next time I go I'm definitely trying their chicken (seitan) parmesan. We got a grandma pie and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We got there right on time, paid at one window, and picked up our pizza at the other. They also have some tables and chairs outside if you want to dine-in. The pizza came out of the oven, was sliced, and popped right into a box to give to me. It was piping hot which is almost unheard of for a pick-up order from other spots. The pizza was delicious! The sauce is some of the best pizza sauce I've ever had. The dough was so good and I could just eat that on its own. The cheese was melted perfectly and the pizza was already slightly well-done (just the way I like it). BEST part was that the slices looked like regular pizza, they're not those little baby personal pies that are like $18 each and you need three to fill you up. These were huge! I went with bf and we split four slices (all vegan) - the Chicken Bacon Ranch, That Garlic Knot, Buffalo Chicken, and Spinach & Artichoke. 1. That Garlic Knot was the best one by FAR--so filling and decadent. This slice alone is a tower of fried cauliflower, mac n cheese, and cheesy fries--topped with Buffalo, BBQ sauce, & Ranch. Unreal. 2. Chicken Bacon Ranch was a close second. Simple but really delicious. Tasted just like the real thing. 3. Buffalo Chicken--definitely good, just nothing special. Relatively plain and pretty sparse on the "chicken". Great taste though! Nothing wrong with the pie itself. 4. Spinach & Artichoke--this one was the only one we really didn't like. Great idea and the taste was pretty much there, but it was overpowered by the taste of Daiya--the worst vegan cheese known to man. It tasted like a Daiya pie. I've passed this place so many times and had high hopes for this place but was greatly disappointed. The sign on the door said help wanted and I hope it's to help clean the place because it was very dirty. You had to walk around back to use the bathroom which was filthy and inside the restaurant the floors and tables were gross. Pizza in the display case looked old and not appetizing. We tried the vegan eggplant roll, vegan barbecue pizza and vegan mac & cheese pizza. Eggplant roll had good flavor but way too much bread and only a little bit of thin eggplant that had been fried with too much oil. Honestly you wouldn't even know it was an eggplant roll there was so little eggplant in there. The vegan barbecue pizza was way too sweet and the fake meat was not good. I really wanted to like this place because I try and eat vegan and they are very few options but was really disappointed! It would have been impossible to make a decision had I not set eyes on the most incredible slice of pizza, vegan or otherwise. I didn't even know it's name, but one look and I knew I had to eat it. It had a garlic knot crust and was loaded with vegan Mac & cheese, fried cauliflower, french fries, Ranch, Buffalo & BBQ sauce. I walked right up to the counter, pointed at the pie and said "I'm gonna need two of those beauties and a Buffalo Seitan roll!" The most incredible part of the slice was the crust ACTUALLY holding up to all the heavy toppings. It wasn't greasy, oily, soggy or disappointing in any of the ways you'd expect. There have been limited pizza options for vegans/those who are dairy free for years - a restaurant such as this one was much needed in Nassau country. The vegan menu is quite extensive and for once I felt like I had many delicious options to choose from! I was greeted with such kindness and the staff was very helpful in recommending some of the house favorites. I opted for a personal chickn alla vodka pie and I was blown away at how amazing it was. The breading on the seitan was very flavorful and its consistency was similar to a real chicken parm. The vodka sauce was creamy and perfectly mild, not heavy or overpowering at all. It was similar to vegan meats made with vital wheat gluten, without the gluten!! So impressive, extremely satisfying and delicious! My mom is sensitive to trace amounts of wheat, and she had no reaction at all!
