Seems the my menu needs to be updated but all the items I'd chosen were available. I got them bagged though bringing your own is appreciated. I was glad I had kept my old menu. The same family have owned and operated Antoni for over 60 years. Just south of the Southern State Pkwy on Broadway on the west side about a half a mile down. They make their own gnocchi with no preservatives right on site also along with other popular pastas. Massapequa is the equivalent on Long Island along Deer Park, Howard Beach to little Italy I'm the Bronx or Manhattan. You can still find a cluster of old world Italian eateries and pasta. Not to waste a trip AS Pork store is just north on the dame block for Italian Deli. Francescos bakery is on Broadway also just a bit south. So if you need your Italian fix and don't want to travel it's all here in North Massapequa. That's Italian!

We said ok and patiently waited. I asked the gentleman at the bar if he could give location for restroom. I took my toddler with me to the long walk around. They really could use a bathroom in the back. But regardless, we went and were hoping to see we had a table on the return. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. My husband was still standing around. We waited for 15 minutes, mind you there were plenty of empty tables. I see this place has amazing reviews, I can't tell if this is just a local spot and they just service them but truly it was baffling to see several people working yet no one could give us a table. This is one of my favorite local stops for fresh fruit and veggies. They have a great selection of…read moretrays and bowls if you either prefer not to do the prep and/or are short on time. There are lots of ready-to-eat sides and meals as well, though you can shop for most anything to make great and tasty homemade dishes. The deli line can be long, however the staff is always courteous and prompt. The aisles are compact but well-organized and nicely-presented and the store is notably always very clean. Produce is especially good compared to most other grocery stores in the area. Some of my favorite pick-ups include the sliced fruit tray which consists of pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, the mozzarella and grilled eggplant, garnished with basil and complete with an olive oil and balsamic dressing on the side, and the potato salad which is nice and chunky and not overly mayonnaise-y tasting. The meat section has a good diversity of burger types, chicken, steak and other meats and can be purchased at the counter or meat display. Additionally, I often find a well-priced special on cleaned shrimp at the seafood counter and make sure I get some fresh broccoli and garlic for a great stir-fry or pasta dish. The cheese selection is always plentiful as well, including many different types of Italian and other European cheeses. And I cannot forget to mention the olive bar, bakery section which includes some gluten/free items prepackaged in the refrigerated section as well as an aisle for gluten-free cookies, crackers and frozen gluten-free pastas (wild mushroom ravioli is my favorite pick of the frozen foods). Additionally, the general selection of marinades and other curated culinary accoutrements is impressive. He also put out his sisters work on display and to sell - a book she wrote and cards she illustrated. As an older sister, that meant so much and was so good to see. I definitely will be back. The vibes are great, i see kids going in and out of the store all the time and that just shows what a welcoming, friendly environment Yosh provides to the community.
